How do I play music (MP.3s) stored on my Mac through my Sonos Play:1 speakers?
Moderator edit:Google Translate-Hello, I have a large open-plan living area (approximately 80 square meters). I've installed four Sonos Five speakers and now want to remove all my old home theater equipment.I'm planning to invest in the Sonos Arc Ultra, which has an HDMI input. That said, will it connect to the four wall-mounted Sonos Five speakers to create a 4.1 system? Is there a microphone or a setup app for the entire system? Is this even possible?Thank you for your help.

Is Tidal better sound quality via Play 1 and 3, playbar and sub than Spotify Premium? If so, how significant is the difference in quality?

Hi, I’m looking for some advice on what system and setup will be best for the space below please.I’m thinking Era 100’s where the green circles are and an Arc for the TV area in the yellow. The 100’s would be a mixture of wall mounted and worktop placed.I’m not keen on the location near the sink, this would be wall mounted above a light switch. I’m concerned how it would look but I’m thinking this would give a better coverage for the island and kitchen with the other speaker across from it than the shelving area. I’m also unsure of the one located by the TV area. I think it would physically become an obstruction.I considered ceiling speakers but have the children’s bedrooms above the main part of the space and have read they do not perform as well as wall mounted speakers.I’m looking to get a good coverage across the main areas of the room, kitchen, island, dining table and TV area for music. I’m not looking to use a surround sound for the TV but would be good if there was a way to par
Hello ! I want to buy Sonos products for my new home that haven’t started yet to be built. I try to anticipate. Please check the image of my plan aht the bottom. For the Home Cinema i will have an “Arc ultra”. I can’t put in ceiling or in wall speakers for the surround, so i’ll have to go for ERA 100/300, so i don’t need to choose right now. And i might never put surrounds. I will go for the SUB MINI. For the dining table area, it will be with a MOVE 2 that i can also carry in the bathroom and outside. Dining table area is not a place where we will listen to music a lot . For the rare occasion of party, i guess the arc ultra + move 2 + in ceiling speakers of the kitchen, it will do the job.And i dont want to add a Sonos amp to have this area by itself. Because i will only want to play music in the kitchen for most of the time. My question is for the kitchen :The wall at the bottom is around 4,5meters (14,7 foots) and on the right is a big bay window of 4 meters and total is 5,5 meters
Hi everyone,I’ve been experimenting with setting up multi-room audio on my Sonos system, but I’ve noticed that sometimes playback between rooms goes out of sync by a few seconds. I’ve tried restarting devices, checking the network, and updating the app, but the issue persists.Has anyone experienced this before? Are there recommended network settings, firmware tweaks, or other adjustments that reliably keep multi-room playback perfectly in sync?Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Dave Moderator Note: Removed hyperlink. Hi AllCan anyone help with this though its not strictly related to Sonos issues?I have an old Buffalo Linkstation Duo that registered a disc failure so I replaced the disc and the other one failed. So I replaced that one and within a few days it registered a failure on the first brand new one!Im assuming that is a power issue or a fault with the chassis rather than the discs as they are brand new.So my question is if I kept the discs (assuming they are fine which they should be as they are brand new) and just switched them into a replacement chassis - an identical one ie a Buffallo Linkstation Duo - is it as simple as that?Would my PC and everything simply pick up the NAS drive as usual? Or is it more complex than that?Any help much appreciated.
New to Sonos:Arc Ultra sound, sub & Era 300: how to (regularly) change individual volumes of Era300 without disturbing overall surround sound (i.e. I want to bring up the volume of Era300 at times, but keep it in the overall surround system)?
System is saying I need to reboot built in speakers and saying no Internet connection. Sonos roam is working. how do I reboot my built in speakers?
No release notes but an update. Can’t see any changes. Now on Build 92.0-73070 on ALL devices. So assume it was just a consolidation of the last update to bring all speakers in line as the Arc and ERAs were on advanced versions.
Help please. Sony Bravia 7 + arc + Panasonic UB820 4K. Could someone please let me know what the correct Dolby Atmos settings are for these 3 units.I have the correct Hdni cables.Your help would much appreciated. All the best.Greg. $
Would it be okay to mount the Arc above a 98 inch TV I just purchased? It will be sitting on the floor with the provided legs which I believe have about 3.5 inches of clearance below the TV. The only option I see it to mount it above. I keep reading don't but it's always a TV that's wall mounted and would be much higher than my situation.

Hi everyoneI would like to delete some radio stations, but I can't find any answers on this topic in the community. Thanks
Have seen numerous comments on setting up a record player but need to add a receiver to the mix for signal boost. I have Kenwood KD-3070 turntable with RCA jacks and a Onkyo TX-SV444 receiver with many input/output ports. See pictures. I am guessing I connect the turntable to receiver (RCA) then receiver to ? to connect to my SONOS 100 speakers. Looking for guidance please with clear non-audiophile description. what connects to what description. I would assume that the connection from the new SONOS device would connect to SONOS speakers via WiFi? Thank You very much for input.
I have seen a lot questions and comments related to the delay that comes with connecting a DJ controller to your sonos system through a sonos port. The delay may is noticeable and is def not ideal at all for professionals in this space. However, if you just want to have fun at home and throw small house parties, it works absolutely great in my opinion. The output from the speakers might have minor delay but you can always use your headphones to mix or have a small monitor speaker directly connected to your decks to help with mixing. Plus, the aesthetics of the apartment also look great without large bulky wired speakers awkwardly positioned around the decks. I have noticed that when more people are in the apartment and connected to the wifi, it can cause sound to drop off and here and there but I just set up a wifi mesh network to tighten up the wifi which I am hoping helps resolve this issue. Will provide an update to anyone interested. My setup: A pioneer XDJ RX2 is connected to a so
Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to play sound through the Sonos Arc and the Sonos Ace at the same time. My friend likes louder sound so he’d like to listen using the headphones while I would listen using the soundbar.
I recently Bought a used Sonos playbar on Facebook marketplace and am unable to connect to my PC. I bought optical to HDMI converter and the app doesn't seem to recognize it. I checked the cable and tried others ones regarding the optical and HDMI. I also provided the converter link I’m currently using down below. I also want to note that there is no light coming out of the optical when plugged into the play bar. It seems to be normal because I was able to get my hands a on another playbar and it did the same thing. So now I have no idea what the problem could be and would really appreciated some help on this. Also my PC doesn't have optical cable hence I'm using a converter.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQD1592R?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
Hi allthe situation with the volume of Arc Ultra when streaming music is getting a bit ridiculous. At a volume of 20 I can barely hear any music. I also have a Sonos Amp, connected to 2 small speakers (Dali Oberon 1), and at 20 the volume there is quite nice, at 40 they blow up the room I’m in. At 40 the Arc Ultra is just getting started.Of course this is streaming specific -- when playing from a TV source, a volume of 20 on the Arc Ultra is more than adequate for my needs. The difference of volume when streaming to the Ultra vs. playing spotify through the TV (either with my TV app, or with AppleTV) is remarkable.I keep hearing that this is partly due to normalization -- but this doesn’t make sense. If Sonos implemented some logic to lower the volume due to normalization, surely such logic would be applied to the Sonos Amp as well. So, unless the “normalization” logic is specific to Arc Ultra, I think this is not a “feature”, but a bug -- and quite an annoying one at that, given other
How does one turn off this stupid prompt for good?
I was playing with my living room group which includes an Arc, sub 3 and in ceiling surrounds powered by the Sonos amp. My intention was to get a line in through the amp from my turntable (Crosley). After some research I discovered Sonos hides the line in on the amp when it’s connected as surrounds to the system. So I disconnect the surrounds from the system and used the line in on the amp. To my surprise, the line in started playing from the Arc and sub 3! This is essentially the outcome I wanted, just with the surrounds in the mix as well and not having to screw with the groups every time I want to do this. But I was not expecting the line in to play from the Arc at all given it was a line in to the amp which connects to the in ceiling surrounds. So I guess my question is why is Sonos not allowing Line in with the surrounds connected, since it’s obviously possible. I just want to be able to use my turntable with the system without having to screw with the groups to do it. Are they g
I’m betting this has been asked before but I didn’t know the right phrase to use in the search to find it so I thought I would ask and hopefully this is an easy problem.I’m working on finishing a room and I want to put in-ceiling speakers in it so I can listen to music through services like Spotify. I think the Sonos Amp is the right product to work with this but the part I can’t figure out is how to integrate Alexa to control the music.I don’t need anything fancy. Just the ability to be in the room and say, “Alexa, play X on Spotify” and the music would come through the speakers in the ceiling. How could I do that without spending a fortune? I was going to get a pair of regular in-celing speakers with a Sonos amp hidden in a cabinet to play the music but I can’t figure out the Alexa part without having something like a echo plugged in and out visible. I’m wanting it to be as simple and as invisible as I can make it. I thought I was see what some options might be that I’m not thin
