I’m looking for some upgrate advice!   I have a Beam Gen 2 and a pair of Ones as rear speakers, which I have had in place since 2018 or so,  I am considering upgrading the Beam to an Arc, but not sure if this is the right next step. I don’t have a Sub, so getting one is an alternative option.

It is a large living room with a 55” tv.   I would welcome any thoughts on an uograde witgh limited funds - should I get a Sub 4, or change the Beam to an Arc?

Thanks.

What is your main use case with the Beam? Mostly TV and movies, or mostly music?

If you watch more TV and movies, and have access to Dolby Atmos content, the Arc Ultra would be my suggestion for an upgrade. the actual up firing speakers will enhance your watching experience.

If you listen to more music and do not have Atmos content available, The Sub or Sub Mini would be my suggestion for an upgrade .

I don’t think the Arc is available any longer; you may be “forced” to go the Ultra route.

The Arc would be what I'd upgrade to, but tne Ultra version since it has the low frequency driver that might be enough that you don't feel the need for a Sub. I'd lean that way for either TV or streaming use.

Later, Era 300s as surrounds would also be good for Atmos listening.

Thanks for the help.  This is for movies rather than music. I’ll have a look at the Arc Ultra as it seems to be the best way forward for me.
