I currently use a Marantz NR1200 as my amp and am looking to add an element of surround sound to my tv set up. I was hoping to add the Sonos Ultra arc to give me a more cinematic experience. Will the Sonas Ultra arc be compatible with my existing amp???

The Arc Ultra is a self-contained soundbar, it connects to the TV's eARC output and for streaming to your Wi-Fi so it isn't going to impact your old amplifier unless it is already using the eARC TV output.

Will my marantz amp and speakers work as the rear speakers and base in conjunction with the Sonos Arc Ultra to create surround sound? Or do I need to purchase a separate base and Era rear speakers?

Thanks

The amplifier won't but a Sonos Amp will work with your existing rear speakers.

You might need a Sonos Sub, the Arc Ultra isn't bad alone so try that first. Adding a mini or full Sub later is easy.

If you want good ATMOS sound the Ultra and Era-300s are the way to go. Then consider a Sub.
