It is weird to have the Mac app’s view of the Sonos Favorites (beloved, correct) and the iOS app’s view of the Sonos Favorites (graphic-heavy, weird, unc) so very different. But I have a very, very simple way out of this mess. In the iOS app settings, there should be a setting:Sort By:
( ) Alphabetical
( ) Recency
Ta-daaa! Everyone gets what they want.
Add in the ability to rename ones with less helpful names like Top Songs and they would be a lot more useful.
What is “Recency”? Recently played? Recently added? Copyright date?
The Mac app hasn’t been touched, other than bug fixes, in years.
+24The bizarre fact is that the underlying API returns them in alphabetic order, which is why the Mac app (and every third party app to my knowledge, certainly all of mine) show them that way.
The Sonos mobile app seems to be going out of its way to trash the sort order, for some reason.
