First time using a soundbar. Is it normal to have some delay on lip sync?
Hello! I already have an Arc and I want to improve the sound in my room. My TV room is really small (13 m²) and asymmetrical; the TV stands in a corner (I tried to recreate the shape of the room, LOL). Do you think adding a Sub Mini would be effective, or should I upgrade to an Arc Ultra? Thanks in advance!
Hi, For about a 6-9 month now my sonos arc has been acting up. The sound suddenly disapear and I have to reset the entire county power grid to get it back. I have tried wired connection to my router and static IP. Also while playing from spotify there is a lottery if the music ever comes on. Imagine when you have some company over and is supposed to set the mood and you start fidgeting with “how the f*** do I get the music on this junk”.You cant cast music to the arc/”room” if the tv is not on. Really unstable system. I cant really recommend this to anyone.Nothing ever work on this piece of junk. Anyone with the same problems?Sonos Arc, Sub Gen3 and Sonos one SL Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Evening all. My father in law has an existing set up in his house on a Vodafone WiFi. It has a playbar and a play 3. All working harmoniously. He now has a play 1 in his workshop and garage a ways down the property. The house WiFi does not stretch to these outbuildings. He has run a cat cable from the router down to the garage underground into the workshop. And it is connected to a new WiFi extender type thing that emits its own WiFi signal. The aim, is to have a separate system from this house WiFi on this "new" WiFi signal. My belief is that if he resets the Sonos app, and then creates a new system, he can add his play 1 on this new WiFi network and operate it as a separate system. Ans then switch between the 2 systems once all set up . Is this a good line of thought ? Attached picture of the device at the other end of his cat 5. In that photo he has another lead plugged into the play1. Is it better to hard patch or set up wirelessly.Cheers all
A number of years ago, I set up a 3-speaker system in my living room of Play 1s. This xmas, I treated myself to a new speaker, this time an Era 100. I just opened the box (it’s been busy here) to learn that I can’t pair the Era with the Play speakers. The existing speakers are set up as one L-R pair of Plays and I wanted to pair the new Era 100 with an old Play to make another L-R pair. I probably should have read more carefully before ordering because it says you can only pair like speakers. Since I didn’t know that, I was thinking to return the Era but maybe there’s a way to connect them that I haven’t thought of. I’d appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks.
The arrangement I have for my 83” wall mounted TV will allow me to either wall mount the Arc Ultra at the suggested 4” below the bottom of the TV or, I can simply place it on top of the console which would be about 7” below the bottom of the TV. Ascetics, cost, and effort aside, is one preferred over the other for best sound? In case it matters, the front surface of the TV is about 2.5” forward of the wall.
Hey guys. I'm renovating my apartment and switching to Sonos.I have a pretty large living room / media space and i wanna make sure i get the speaker placement right. We use it for movies and for hosting. It is an integrated space, which makes things harder.I wanna balance the surround movie experience with the music experience in the other spaces.Which of the following options do you guys think would be better? A: B: If I do go with the AMP's route, would I be loosing out on Doby Atmos or any other features? Thanks for the help in advance.
Tried to buy the era 100. Not once but twice, first time I didnt sign in and was after playing with klarna was redirected back to my cart after purchase. So the money came out of my bank account but sonos says the purchase did not go through.Second time I signed in with my account, filled in all the information for shipping ect and went to pay with klarna and the purchase went through and it told me to go back to merchant. I go back to sonos and its literally showing the payment for me to pay again? So I was charged not one but TWICE for something that according to sonos is not an actual order. Just being held by my bank. Honestly so frustrated now I have to wait 30 days to get the money back after disputing with my bank. and will miss this sale and am out @ bunch of money for the next bit. Why have klarna as an option if the website is not properly set up? Don't know what to do honestly
Please help:I have purchased and moved into a new house. The last owners were not the purchasers or installers of the pre-existing wired sound system and do not have the details. The house is 3 stories and 4000m2 in size, there is a very complex lan and wlan nbn enabled tree network that has a server room and cables running throughout. There are 5 wireless routers and the current speakers a visible in spotify via at least 2 different wifi routers. I am looking to transfer the sound system ownership of the new house and merge it with my current (small in comparison) s2 sonos wireless speaker network. The pre-existing speakers are built into the ceiling and are indoor and out door (there are around 15 speakers in 3 rooms). I think the old system is about 5-10 years old and the mounted installed sonos s1 wired speakers might have integrated amps and the system seems to be run via lan network, with inputs via the wifi routers coordinated via a netgear switch in the server room. There is n
I set up a small system for my living room that I intend to grow. I loved it so much that bought a second system, this time with the arc ultra with the intention of passing the Beam set-up to my husband for his TV room upstairs. This is what I have:Living Room -1 Arc Ultra -2 Era 100s-1 Mini SubLG C5 TVUpstairs TV Room-1 Beam 2 -2 Era 100s-1 Mini SubLG C4My router is in the living room And it’s the standard router supplied by my cable company and everything is wireless. The controller is on my phone and that’s where I’d like to keep it. The sound bar was originally intended Improve voice clarity for my husband so I could keep buying him at a tolerable range for me when we watch TV together. and also like the option for us to be able to watch TV separately. My first challenge is that audio from his system was playing downstairs in the living room. That tells me something’s wrong and before I bang my head against the wall I wanted to ask for help. I also read that there’s an issue between
Hi,For you, is more interesting to replace my 2 One SL with 2 Era 100 or add sub to existing configuration ?If sub, I can buy sub g2 or it could be more interesting to buy sub mini ?Area is approximatively, 40m2 and I’d listen often music and sometimes action film. Thanks
Over 10 years, we had a Sonos system set up in our kitchen. We have 4 in-ceiling speakers, which were wired to a SS20 2 Way parallel speaker Switch system, which was connected to the Sonos Connect Amp 1st generation, which was connected to a computer. Does anyone whether I should connect a Sonos Amp or Port to the Switch system, so we can access music through the phone? Probably a very basic system, but any knowledgeable guidance would be appreciated.

Just installed a Sonos Arc Ultra below our TV (77” Sony A80J) in a room that is 20’ x 15’ (TV on the 20’ wall). Trying to decide whether to add two Era 100s and perhaps a Sub-Mini, and thought I’d check here to see if there is a consensus how much the Arc Ultra benefits from adding Era 100s? And, would adding a Sub-Mini add more to the Arc Ultra sound experience? If adding Era 100s, can they be added to the front far left and right corners of the room, or should they go to the rear corners (which would cause them to be mostly in line with viewing/sitting positions rather than behind). Thanks and Happy Holidays!
I have a Sonos Arc connected to my Samsung 4k TV, sorry I don’t have the specific model number. I have my Arc soundbar connected through the TVs HDMI Arc port. I have a Metra HDMI splitter plugged into my only other HDMI port. I have my cable box and previously had an Xbox one through the splitter. For years things worked great, no issues. We just got an Xbox series X. Since setting this up I’ve noticed that my Arc seems to not be recognized by my Samsung and my TV will revert to the TV speakers, at times I will get no audio from the Xbox. I can fix it by unplugging the splitter from the other HDMI port, then once the Arc is recognized by the TV, almost immediately, then I can plug back in the splitter to the other HDMI port and things work great until for a while. I’ll come back an hour later and same issue. I have pass through on and Dolby atmos turned off on the Xbox. Any ideas for a permanent fix? I’ve tried power cycling everything. I can’t seem to find a fix that will
I've connected my Beam and two ERA 100 speakers (without surround, just the two ERAs in stereo). I would like to manage everything as one system. However, when I adjust the volume on my TV, only the Beam responds. Is there a solution to control the entire system with my TV remote?
I don’t want Sonos radio taking up screen space as I don’t use it and have access to plenty of music that I do want. So how do I remove it from view?
I have lossless audio for Spotify whether I use the app on my phone, PC app or Alexa app on all Akexa devices and PC speakers. But when i switch auduo to my Sonos 100, which I got the other day, the lossless option on where the song is playing goes away. How do I get it to translate to Sonos? Lossless was kind of the point of getting it
I’m looking for speakers to pair with my Sonos Amp. I’m looking at the Dali Menuet SE, KEF LS50 Meta or B&W 706 s3. Has anyone tried any of these speakers with a Sonos amp and if so what are their thoughts? Alternatively does anyone have any other speakers they can recommend.FYI I mainly use the amp for my home cinema and listen to music now and again. I would love to hear people’s thoughts?
To my Christmas horror, anything by John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers is now blocked. Is this because Tidal cannot pay the Collegium record label? Here am I back to using a CD player when these carols should be streaming. Has anyone had the same experience? Merry Christmas!
I have some MP3’s in the File Folder on my iPhone. Is there any way to stream them to my ERA 300’s?
I have recently purchased a Beam Gen2 and a couple of Era 100s. My existing system is S1 so I need to upgrade if I want them to all play happily together. This I am failing to do. I have removed my 2 s1 only Connects but when i run the s2 Update it finds the system but is unable to update it.If I run the S1 app it tells me to check for updates, when i do this it takes me to the play store S2 App entry. The “system compatibility check” option is greyed out. If I run s2 it will find my s1 system but says it cannot update the system.I have been in touch with Sonos Support - the upshot of which was the 2nd line guy wanted me to reset my s2 components and add them one by one. This of course will result in me losing all my playlists. - which the Support guy said was the normal update approach.Help!
SO has there been another update which has turned everything to **** again, or is this my own personal hell?My D:\ is inaccessible no matter how I try to trick it.
I am planning to change my setup on the Sony Bravia A80J. Currently, I have signal issues, likely caused by the Hue Sync Box, so I want to remove that and connect my consoles directly to the TV.The problem is that the TV only has two HDMI 2.1 (120Hz) ports:HDMI 3 (eARC) - Currently used by the Sonos Beam Gen 2.HDMI 4 - Currently used by the Hue Sync Box.I need both of these ports for my gaming consoles to get 120Hz. To make this work, I am looking for a specific HDMI switch that has an eARC extractor/pass-through function. My goal is to plug the Sonos Beam into this switch rather than directly into the TV's HDMI 3 port, effectively freeing up that port for a console while still getting audio. I don't mind losing full Dolby Atmos support; standard Dolby is fine, as long as I can still control the volume with my TV remote.Could you let me know if there is a switch that allows this specific configuration?
