I was playing an app from my IPad and the blue light started blinking. All the sudden the iPad was kicked off and a song from someone else’s device started playing and I couldn’t control it. I reconnected my IPad and it didn’t happen again.
please help.

Not really enough information to be sure, but usually a blue LED ( from the LED states FAQ) means a connection to your Era 100 came in via Bluetooth (including a new Bluetooth connection). This ‘new’ connection would normally interrupt either a WiFi or AirPlay 2 connection, since it is ‘new’ and presumed to be from a source the owner initiated.

How were you playing from your iPad before? Did you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it? They would likely to be able to give you specifics about what signals were received, as long as it was within the length of the storage for the diagnostic.

I was connected via blue tooth even though both are in my wifi. I will reach out to Sonos support. I was going to sleep with no other devices being used. I figured it was a neighbor but not sure how they could have got on without pressing the Bluetooth connect button.
thank you.

What App were you using?

If your neighbor has ever been in your house, it is certainly possible they ‘connected’ with your Sonos via Bluetooth.  So later, when they played something, your Sonos would have recognized it as a valid Bluetooth signal, and as a ‘new’ source, started playing instead of your content. But that assumes that your neighbor had previously connected to your Sonos, as in order for a Bluetooth signal to be recognized, there must be a button push to ‘authorize’ the first connection. After that, it’s automatic. It’s why you always need to ‘pair’ a Bluetooth device the first time, but it connects on its own subsequently.
