I just want to access the Sonos 1 App using an old Sonos amp but it keeps reverting to the newer app?

If it is S2 you  need to revert to S1

No that doesn’t work as it keeps reverting to S2. Anyway sorted it now by uninstalling and reinstalling S1.

Sonos devices don’t ‘move’ to either S1 or S2, in either direction, without a person clicking a button. Neither will the controller auto-update from S1 to S2 or backwards, but it will download new versions of itself. Some people have decided to turn off their OS’ feature that auto updates apps on their device for the Sonos, so that they can ‘stay’ on one release. But it never updates itself from one version of the controller to another version, without someone doing so.
