What to get

Hi everyone.I'm building a Sonos system for my TV room. The TV is large (a 77-inch OLED Panasonic), but the room is quite small (about 13 square meters). Initially, I wanted to limit myself to just the Arc Ultra soundbar, but then, after researching online, I became curious about adding a pair of Era 300s.I tried moving the sofa about 20 cm away from the back wall, and I think I could fit the pair of Era 300s in this space (between the wall and the sofa), on their dedicated stands. It's not ideal for the room's design, but at least, since they're not wall-mounted, everything is reversible. So, to my question: the room is small, and I'm not looking for realistic explosions and extreme bass: could a system like the one described work very well, or would the overall sound be unbalanced, with a sort of "hole" in the low-frequency region? To be clear, would I be building a castrated system?My problem isn't budget, but rather a concern about not saturating a rather small space.Thanks, Robert

I currently have one Era 300 (used for record player with line in), two Era 100s used as surround with my Beam Gen 1. I am torn between what to do for an upgrade. I want to stay around the $500 price point. Any suggestions or recommendations? My ideas are buying the sub mini, or buying the Beam Gen 2.

Hi everyone,I’m trying to decide between the Sonos Arc and Beam Gen 2. I can get both for roughly the same price (Arc is actually €50 cheaper), and I’m finding it hard to choose.A bit about my setup: TV: 65″ with HDMI eARC Room: Medium-sized living room Use: Mostly Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, movies, and music Here are the two options I’m thinking about: Beam Gen 2 + Era 100 pair + Sub Mini Arc standalone bar and later add  Sub Gen4 Arc + Sub Gen 3 or 4 now, and maybe add Era 100/300 as rear speakers later I’m looking for good movie immersion, clear dialogue, and solid music performance without going overboard.Given my TV and room size, would you go Arc now or Beam + surrounds? I currently have a Beam (gen 2), sub mini and 2 x SLs as my surround sound system. It also doubles up to play vinyl on occasion through an amp.I have a bit of money to upgrade but it will be step by step, so my query is really where will I notice the most difference? Should I upgrade my Beam to an Arc Ultra or the SLs to 2 Era 300s?thank you

hi,as you can tell from the title, I do have an unusual house design where i can’t (and honestly don’t need) a full setup of a home theatre. However, I really want to have a good music focused setup where i can play music and enjoy it everywhere in my first floor (by the way, the house already exists and i can’t make any changes).so, I’ve been thinking of getting the arc ultra for the tv (shown in blue), and when i play the tv the other two speakers (shown in red) will be turned off cause there’s no point of hearing the tv around the house. i want them be grouped only when playing music though.main questions are: is the ultra arc too much for the living room area? is it too much for a floor like this to have ultra and two additional speakers like era 100 for music purposes only? is one enough? do era 100 speakers even sound good when ultra is playing? is ultra enough for the whole house? all these questions and me not knowing how to approach this is only because of the unusual house de

I live in a 2nd floor wood frame apartment.  I’ve a Beam 2 and 2x Sono ONE Gen2.  I like to replace the two ONE’s with a SUB.  Can anybody recommend one?  Doesn’t have to be brand new.

Hi everyone,we’ve been updating our showroom and wanted to bring in some background music to create a more welcoming atmosphere for customers while they browse. We’re considering Sonos because of the easy app control and flexibility, but we’re not sure which setup would work best in a medium-sized showroom with separate display areas.Has anyone here used Sonos in a shop, showroom, or similar business space? We’d love recommendations on which speakers to start with, how well they handle continuous daily use, and whether grouping different zones is simple enough for staff to manage. Hello, we are new to buying Sonos and we are struggling with how many speakers, placement, and which speakers can or should I choose(Arc 100?  Arc 300?.  The room is a great room with very high vaulted ceilings(10 feet to 22) and is 38’ by 22’ approximately 832 sq feet.  We will be placing a TV in the middle of the 22’ wall and are considering using a Arc Ultra sound bar under the TV.  We only have sidewalls in the space and then back wall, which is 38 feet away from where the TV will be.  In the perfect world, I would love to only have two speakers on the back wall(38 feet from the TV), as my wife really doesn’t want anything mounted on the wall or ceiling if possible.  My question is, given this room configuration, if we purchase the ultra soundbar and did ARC 100 or 300, would these sound approprirately?  Is the space too large just for a sound bar and 2 speakers?  Ive read that 2-3 are needed for a size 1000 sq feet or more.  Just so you know, we are not especially picky about havi

I have a 20 x 20 living room with a TV centered on front wall. I am looking to create a good (doesn’t need to be superb) surround sound experience by using the TV and in ceiling speakers. Would prefer to avoid using a soundbar and in wall speakers. Could add a Subwoofer if recommended. Does anyone have input on this setup and placement of the speakers in the ceiling. Should there be two in front and two in back? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have high end stereo equipment and I have also used Sonos for years (since Sonos debuted).  I am looking to move all of my existing music which includes vinyl, CDs, and iTunes (from an old iMac) into a single, centralized location).  I have seen where some companies claim to be Sonos compatible streaming equipment that would allow me to upload all of my music into a single stereo component (some of the music is not found anywhere else to stream).Has anyone chosen to do this and, if so, I have 2 questions: Q1: What equipment did you use?Q2: Did you have a good experience  with streaming from that equipment wirelessly / bluetooth to play on your Sonos device(s)?

Hi!I just upgraded my old Playbar with an Arc Ultra. I learnt the hard way ☹️ that my old Play:3s cannot be used as surround speakers with the Ultra. Poor research; I only blame myself… So, I will buy a pair of 100s or 300s. Of course, I crave the better Era 300 with Dolby Atmos and am leaning towards buying those. In addition to films, series and watching sports, I frequently listen to music in this setup. However, the part of the living room where these will be placed is not very large; 3.5m from sofa to TV and approx. 2.5m between the sorround speakers. I think I will need to wall mount the speakers and there are not that much space around them. See attached picture.  Any thoughts on whether the Era 300 is «overkill» in this setup? I can afford them, but am of course not eager to throw away the money if the 100s will give more or less the same sound experience given the rather small space I will use them in.  

Hi!My speakers system right now is Arc, 2xEra 300 and Sub gen 3. I’m want to buy Arc ultra, and i thinking it is worth to take Sub gen 4?Someone know how it will be play with Arc ultra, 2xEra 300 and Sub gen 3 and Sub gen 4? Or better sell sub gen 3, and leave only sub gen 4?

Hello, the house has the Sonos Bridge for SonosNet with tons of Play:1 and Play:5 speakers along with Connect:AMP in SonosNet, which none of these devices are AirPlay 2 compatible.  Ok.Besides using the Sonos S1 app directly for Apple Music, i would like to see if i can use the Apple’s native Apple Music to stream music to the Play:1, Play:5 and speakers connected to Connect:AMP.  I’m looking for cost effective solution to create a “group” with AirPlay 2 compatible Sonos speaker with certain Play:1 speakers (as a starter) at a specific room, basement study room, so i can play from Apple Music app to this group.  Of course, i may need to adjust my groups depending on where i want to play music from Apple Music app to different parts of the house.  Total hack solution.Looks like the Roam 2 (cheapest that supports AirPlay 2) cannot connect to SonosNet.Can someone suggest “cheapest” way to create group using Sonos speaker (just one) with AirPlay 2 support, with existing (older non-AirPlay

I’m planning to add a Sonos Arc Ultra mounted to an 85” TV in my large master bedroom. Off to the side of the bedroom, there’s a small covered patio where we are able to see the TV.I’d like to add a speaker on the patio so we don’t have to crank up the Arc Ultra just to hear the TV outside. I already have a pair of outdoor speakers on the patio powered by a Sonos Amp, but since that setup still runs on the Sonos S1 controller, I can’t integrate them with the Arc Ultra (S2-only). That’s fine — the Amp system will remain separate. The new Arc Ultra will be used only for the TV in the bedroom. The patio speaker would not be used as a surround, just grouped with the Arc Ultra for TV audio. I do have AC power available outside. Question: Which Sonos speaker would be the best choice for this setup? Should I go with a Sonos Five, or is there another speaker better suited for this?

Living room about 15m2, I watch streaming Movies - music. What do you recommend to buy? SONOS Mini subwoofer or SONOS ERA 100 pair.

hi guys i have just bought x2 Sonos roam 2 speakers what other portable Bluetooth speaker would you suggest buying to complement the roam 2 speakers i was thinking the move 2 ? Im very new to the Sonos world thanks in advance 

For years there has been only problems with my sonos system. I’m so close to chucking it all out the window. The last hour: Playbar works, unable to add livingroom speakers, try ten times, playbar disappears from system, app goes completely blank, livingroom re-appears, unable to pause, playbar reappears in app but without sound, and on and on and on and on ad infinitum et absurdum. Where can I send it all for incineration?! 

Hi,I am updating a 475 sq ft covered patio where I have a barbecue area with a high table, a dining area, and a living area. Next to the high table I'm placing a TV. The ceiling is 9 feet high. There are walls on the left and top side, while the right and bottom sides are open.What Sonos setup do you recommend? I was considering a soundbar for the TV, complemented by two Era 100/300 speakers hanging from the ceiling in the two lower corners (blur crosses). There is little to no rain here, and very low humidity. Thanks!  

Previously used Connect to connect TV using 3.5mm audio out on TV to RCA input to connect, worked wonderfully! Connect was many years old and bit the bullet finally! Using the proper adapters, has anyone used the Era 1 to connect their TV? Does it then play throughout the entire SONOS system? Or only on that speaker that is connected? Needing new device to connect TV, and dont really need a soundbar for the one im connecting to! Any suggestions from member currently doing this?
