Listening to streaming music in game room through in ceiling speakers

I’m betting this has been asked before but I didn’t know the right phrase to use in the search to find it so I thought I would ask and hopefully this is an easy problem.

I’m working on finishing a room and I want to put in-ceiling speakers in it so I can listen to music through services like Spotify.  I think the Sonos Amp is the right product to work with this but the part I can’t figure out is how to integrate Alexa to control the music.

I don’t need anything fancy. Just the ability to be in the room and say, “Alexa, play X on Spotify” and the music would come through the speakers in the ceiling.

How could I do that without spending a fortune?  I was going to get a pair of regular in-celing speakers with a Sonos amp hidden in a cabinet to play the music but I can’t figure out the Alexa part without having something like a echo plugged in and out visible.  I’m wanting it to be as simple and as invisible as I can make it.

I thought I was see what some options might be that I’m not thinking of.

Thanks.

I think the echo is your best option.

From what I've read, the Sonos One might be the way to go.

The Sonos Amp and some of the Sonos/Sonance speakers would make for the best sounding. With these speakers you get the Trueplay audio tuning option and can use from one to three pairs.

Can't help on voice control as I only use the App or web-controller.

The Sonos One isn’t an in-ceiling speaker.

Certainly any device that integrates into the Alexa system, but you asked for low cost. I’d agree with @nik9669a that likely the least expensive integration is the Amazon device, which would accept voice commands, when properly set up, that would control a Sonos system.

I think the easiest way would be to connect the Echo Dot to the Sonos Amp via the Sonos app. Since Alexa will be able to control Spotify on the amp. Alternatively, you can hide the Echo Dot in the ceiling or cabinet near the speakers. That is, make it almost invisible, but it still needs power and direct visibility to hear you. And you don’t need separate expensive equipment.
