I’m using the updated S1 app and suddenly it can’t access my shared music folder on my windows PC.I’ve tried to reconnect to the shared folder, but the S1 app doesn’t accept the network server name because it has an underscore character in the name. Hence, I can’t connect to the music on my PC.It was working for a long time until now, so has something changed in the S1 app about allowable characters in shared server names for the music library? Any advice/insights greatly appreciatedThanks in anticipation,Peter D :-)

When I first got my arc for 2 years ago I had a problem. Sometimes the sound just disappeared. After a updated everything was ok. But now after firmware 14.20 this seems to be back. Only difference is that now it is enough to toggle tv on and off. The first time I had to pull the plug. Hopefully a new firmware update will fix this issue soon.  I think there is way to much firmware problems with my sonos system, and I start regretting my latest purchase, two fives and a sub. Her I have problems with trueplay which only works on left speaker and sub 😢 

Hi I have 4 Connect Amps sitting side by side but only one free port on my hub. If I connect one unit to the hub should I then daisy chain the other 3 to the first unit with hard wired ethernet cable or just rely on the wifi as they are all next to each other?

I have Sonos in two houses (A and B) and separate equipment. I want the two houses with the same app and I have understood this should be working automatically after setup depending on which WiFi I am connected to.But it doesn’t work in the last step and I don’t understand what to do to make it work (and I am also not sure if I have done the first two steps correctly). This is the situation:I have set up a Sonos system in house A using iPhone with Sonos Account A (I have both an iPad and a Macbook there and they also work fine). I have then taken my iPhone to house B and created a Sonos Account B, factory reset my Sonos products there and everything is working fine. When I go back to house A again and connect to that WiFi the Sonos app doesn’t work - what should be done in this last step?Thanks in advance!Klas  

When I upgraded to a Mac mini and transferred everything over from the old Mac, the sonos app on our Android phones won’t sync with the Android app on my desktop. Can’t see the music libraries, can’t see any custom Sonos playlists that I created on the desktop, etc.  I also have a bunch of iTunes playlists on my desktop that Sonos doesn’t see, no matter how many times I point to the new music Library on the mini.

I have music and audio books stored on my NAS.  I previously ran a Samba docker container so I could share this content with my S1 system and SMB 1.0.  Though I didn’t use it a ton so it may have been broken then; not sure.  I just upgraded to S2.  I can index my Audio Books and Music folders with Sonos directly on the NAS (not the docker container) but only some books play back; others consistently fail.  Not sure why.  Anybody know of limits of file size?  These are all in the same “Audio Books” folder.  The files that work are smaller (200mb or so) but small files have also failed.  I can access that share with the same user account Sonos uses and copy the file so I don’t think it is a permissions issue. Separately, I run Owntone on my network (iTunes server).  But apparently it doesn’t support DLNA.I have Plex but am hesitant to enable Remote Access.What is the best way to expose my Audio Books and Music to Sonos?Any good docker containers of DLNA servers that I could run that Sono

I am working with the low voltage installer currently on a plan for speaker placement. I will be putting in ceiling speakers in various places, but the one area I need some clarification on is the main living room.My planned setup is as follows:TV, Arc Soundbar, Sub and x2 Wall Speakers connected to a Sonos Amp as surroundCurrently on the plan all speaker wiring is home run back to a panel in the basement. I had planned to put multiple sonos amps in that location wired to ethernet. Can I do this with the TV surrounds as well? It is unclear to me if they need to be physically connected to the TV/Arc or if being on the same network will allow me to pair them up as surrounds. This obviously changes where I would home run that speaker pair to.Thanks!

I just got my Sonos Move and I can connect using my Android via WIFI but I am unable to connect using my Mac via WIFI, and I would like to be able to listen to Apple Music from my Mac

Hi there! I have a special situation: I am an exchange student and this week bought a Sonos Roam for in my room. I had assumed it would be no problem to connect to the wifi here in my university dormitory here, because every room got their own small router.But, as it turns out, it does not work. I always get stuck at the step where my Roam has been installed on the network, but that I have to restart my Roam so that it will become visible in Systems in the Sonos app. It never appears though, whatever troubleshooting steps I go through and however long Sonos is searching for the Roam.Eventually, I installed my Sonos on the network of the hotspot of my laptop (for which my laptop just uses the room wifi of course). So the problem should not be with my Sonos or my phone, I would say, but only with the router. Does anyone have any clue why that would be? I have two Playbars both bought from the same shop a few weeks apart in 2016, connected via Optical cable to two TVs.  One with a new Samsung TV worked immediately with the TV remote to control the volume of the Playbar.  The other was on an older Panasonic TV and the Playbar volume never worked with the Remote.  The TV sound came out of the TV speakers and the Sonos Playbar, but you had to control the Sonos Playbar volume levels through the Sonos App.  I assumed this was due to the age of the TV. However, I have now moved the Samsung TV to the other room and connected it to this 2nd Playbar and the Remote still does not control the Playbar volume.  It still has to be controlled on the Sonos App.  I am now thinking there must be an issue with the Playbar. They look identical on the system, same version, hardware, series ID.  The only difference in setup is the one not working on remote hasn’t got Trueplay tuning set up as everytime I try that, it errors saying I’m not moving enough eve

Sonos Move won’t charge and orange light remains on constantly.  I am unable to turn off/reset either.Am I ok to remove battery whilst orange light remains on?

Hoping someone can help here. I have a Sonos system of 7 speaker (3 x OneSL/Play1, 1 x Five, 2 x Beam, 1 x Move) plus a Boost that I’ve put together over a  number of years. Never had any issues (apart from teething problems with the Move) - and the system has served us well. Now suddenly connection to the speakers is flaky, sometimes they show as disconnected, sometimes they are not even listed in the app. . I’m finding this very frustrating, as are my daughters cos Dad can’t seem to fix it! I,ve power cycled all speakers and even followed the steps in the app to fix the issues but still keeps happening! This has been ongoing for about a week now - no issues before that,Attached pictures show the various states of the system app in the space of around 10 minutes this evening 

Sometimes when I go into the app it try’s to refresh but doesn’t find my system even though I’m on the correct WiFi network. Then after a while, it will say “unable to connect to Sonos. Let’s fix it”.  does anyone else experience this and are there any preventions/fixes?  

I’ve not be able to find instructions on how to connect the Amp wirelessly or if it is possible. I have a theatre room upstairs and my modem is downstairs. I have one Amp, which is going to power two sets of wired speakers. I just need to know the correct way to connect the Amp to the network wirelessly. 

Anyone know what I can do about cracking audio in a room just my Sonos One?

When I turn up or down the tv volume level a voice comes over saying “volume increased or decreased on arc hdmi 1, so I’m wondering if that voice can be turned off? 

Is it possible to distribute analogue input from my music system via the Sonos Amp to the ARC and Sub, please? Although I bought the Amp primarily to power the surround speakers in a Home Cinema setup I was told it would also be able to send to the ARC but I cannot see how to achieve this.

Can any Roam SL owners tell me if device plays a sound when you power on and off? I have a Wonderboom and it makes a loud sound when it powers on or off which can be intrusive eg. for a meditation class. Thanks!

Bought second hand a Sub and did the factory reset, with the Ethernet cable I managed to finally get the Sub connected to my system but it will not function until I link it to my account. However no matter what I do I cannot get it to connect to my account. Why? What's the trick, what am I missing here?

My ZP90 has stopped operating.When I select it on my computer I get a message to update it I select not to but it insists on trying to updateNothing I do will allow me to use my ZP90

I have my Beam +Sub with a Samsung TV  Beam works perfectly because it’s  connected via Arc To the TV.  sub it’s connected with a solid white light status and the app says they are linked properly but there is not sound from sub. Sometimes the sound comes for few seconds and goes…. i already did everything recommended in this forum about deleting the sub and add it again…. Turn off and on…. Check for updates…. Hi. How can I use the new Spotify Playlist functions in the Sonos App? I’m talking about the new Spotify playlist feature where a Spotify artificial intelligence supplements the current playlist with additional songs automatically. This function is not able in the Sonos App. And vice versa the volume fine tune slider from the Sonos App is not available in the Spotify App 😞

Recently the iOS S2 controller app was updated. In the past if a device was unplugged, it just didn’t show up. Then when you plugged it in it would be found. It was like this for ages, with S1 also.Now if you unplug a device it shows up as “not connected”, and even if you plug it back in it remains “not connected”. There is now a lengthy process to re-connect.Luckily for me, for now, the S2 controller on the PC still works the old way – I can unplug and re-plug. To add insult to injury, it also says it can’t find a Sonos Connect. Well, I decommissioned that a year ago, and of course it isn’t supported by S2 anyway. The fact that it spends many minutes trying to reconnect to it is annoyingI went to the web page, and it listed all my devices correctly, but said they all needed to be update to make the S2 compatibly.
