Hi Everyone. I have 3 nos of Sonos Amp  and 1 nos of Sonos Arc connected to Wifi network (Not Wired). 2 Sonos Amp and the Sonos Arc are located in Living Room (and connected to Living Room Access Point). And 1 Sonos Amp is located in Dining Room (and connected to Dining Room Access Point). All the sonos device are located very near to the access point and so wifi signal strength is not a matter of concern here.  Sonos Arc is connected to TV via HDMI Arc port.

All Wifi access point are Unifi U6 Mesh. All the access points are powered by a single non-managed POE switch which in turn connected directly to the Router. I have used the defaults settings of the Unifi Network.

Now the end user is complaining that there are intermittent pauses while streaming music on the Sonos amp. While searching of possible cause, I came to know that there are several threads about possible incompatibility for Unifi Network and Sonos System. But I couldn’t conclude anything from them. So can anyone help me out or recommended the possible cause and solution for my Sonos / Unifi System. Thanks in advance.

Hi @pateldivyang84

Without a diagnostic, there isn’t much I can suggest other than general troubleshooting steps. A Unifi Mesh should work with Sonos, considering the network and mesh are set up to communicate correctly between access points.

I’d suggest starting with the basics as, while it may seem there isn’t any cause for network issues, there’s always a chance for wireless interference and you’ll want to take the necessary steps to reduce wireless interference.

Since you mentioned streaming audio, I’ll assume it’s Music Service related, and our article on music service audio stopping or skipping should help.

For networks using mesh equipment, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team for live support, as there may be changes to the network they can suggest in real time after looking into any diagnostics you submit that will help resolve the intermittent audio issues.

I hope this information helps!
