Are sky and Sonos ever going to sort out the sync issue when going through a Samsung TV.Its now been 2 years of having Dolby plus switched off. I turn it back on every few months to see if anything has changed. If no one can be bothered to sort this, its going to be hard, but might be the time to ditch Sonos as the family wont let me ditch sky. Rich 

Hi, I have an existing system with Arc and two Ones. Ordered a Sub that arrived today, but the Sonos app wont let me add the Sub :( In Settings there is a greyed out option ”Add Sub”, when clicked I get a popup message: ”App update required. Update the Sonos app to the latest version. Functionality may be limited until update is finished”.I have the latest version available in the App Store (14.19) already.  Clicking the ”Update” button in the Sonos app leads to a ”Searching for updates” message that loads for about 30 seconds, then an error message with error code 1101. Any ideas? Anyone else having the same issue?

I have 2 SONOS Play:5 speakers and want to play music from an external input. I am not connected to WIFI or router so I have 1 speaker playing external input but how can I transmit the audio also to the second speaker ? Can I do this by connecting 2nd speaker with 1st one by using network cable (and still ignore connecting to WIFI or router) ?  If 1. is not possible then I can add the speakers to the WIFI but it is a bit annoying if I am back home that I need to configure them back in my home WIFI. Are the speakers capable in remembering two different WIFI networks ? How do I manage this ?Thanks for feedback. Rudi

Hello everyone, Im looking to get a confirmation on a setup id like to have. I have at the moment:Apple TV 4K (atmos / eARC HDMI) Videoprojector 4K (eARC HDMI)Thingking of gettingBeam gen2 (atmos / eARC) The thing is i want to make sure that i will get the atmos sound with the 3 setup together. Im not sure how to connect everything, i know that i will have to use HDMI as atmos doesnt work with airplay wihtout homepod. So the connection that i thought of is as follow:Plugging the Apple TV to the videoprojector via the regular HDMI port for the videoPlugging an other HDMI cable from the Apple TV eARC plug to the Sonos Beam (eARC) Will this setup allow me to have the atmos sound ? Thanks for the answers.

I've had my Beam 2  Samsung tv, and sat box, for a few months and it all starts up as it should. Occasionally though  I do not get any sound out of the Beam it connects to the TV speakers insteadI have to turn off tv and sat box and unplug TV ( not sat box), wait 20 seconds, plug back in and all is ok again.Anyone? 

i recently installed a mesh tp-link to my home network. I have connected the  sonos boost ,playbar, one, one sl to the new mesh wifi network. It works fine for a few days then most all sonos products drop off and only the playbar remains.  I’ve gone through re setting up to the new mesh network at least 5 times , it all woks for bit then drops off products over time.  Any help appreciated, should I disconnect boost? and just use the new tp-link is that the cause of the sporadic dropping of products ?  

All my Sonos have lost connection bar a Play 5 - All others are saying not compatible with S2 Controller - I dont have an S2 controller and never have upgraded.  Is this the forcing you to change policy ?  I have looked and says re-connect using S1 - I have S1 and there is no option to add devices!!   aaaaaagh

I always have trouble with my Sonos 2 system when I migrate from my summer cottage to my winter home. My computer travels with me: Dell XPS 15 laptop.Running Windows 11 Home.All Music files are stored on my computer.First, Sonos couldn’t find any songs. So I removed the music folders and tried to add them back with a more detailed path. Now it cannot find my computer so it can’t add the folders.My system is a bit of a mess in that I have music stored under 2 different Users. (That’s a problem for another day.) So I think I need to add 2 Music folders.Why can’t Sonos see my computer? I have the app on my iphone too, but that’s no help. Could Sonos possibly be looking at the wrong wifi network? I cannot see where to check that.Please help--thanks. 

I've just added a roam to my setup.  It works great, but I've noticed the dolby atmos isn't appearing when listening to music that used to show it. Is there any reason for this?

I just bought a Sonos Roam to add to my current system of Ray, Ikea Symfonisk Lamp and Ikea Symfonisk Frame.The current system has worked without flaws for 3 months, no problem setting it up. I easily connected my new Roam to the system, and it worked fine the first evening.However, today it is completely broken. First, the Symfonisk Lamp just disappeared from the system. After a lot of hassle resetting it, I managed to get re-add it, but then the Roam stopped working, and eventually disappeared. I reconnected it, then the entire System disappeared from my app. After cutting power to all units and restarting my phone, all devices were apparently working. However, now only 3 of the 4 devices will play at any given time. It seems like the unit I am farthest away from will simply stop playing, but start playing again a few seconds after I approach it, and other units than the Roam randomly disappears and reappears in the “system” section of my app.What is happening here? I woke up to find that half of my speakers are showing “incompatible” under my S1 app.Controller says there’s an update, but it won’t let me update. I get an “Error 9”.For kicks, I tried to reset my Sonos Move and repair it with the S1 controller. No such luck. The controller won’t let me do anything until it updates (some options grayed out). Stuck here and need some assistance. I REALLY hope I’m not going to have to go through and reset all these speakers.  Any advice or guidance here outside of replacing half my system with S2 compatible speakers? Not ready to do that just yet. Just want everything working as it should. I believe “update automatically”, which I don’t ever recall enabling, may be the culprit.  TIA and please advise. 

Why can’t I play albums I purchased off of amazon.com any more on sonos play: 1 speakers?  This happened two weeks ago.  Now I get an “amazon music station” and maybe one or two tracks.  The rest are tracks from other albums, often similar musical genre.

Hello Community,I’m trying to figure out a way to connect my PS5 and Xbox series X to my Sonos Arc at the same time via a splitter but everytime I go and seach for a splitter they all say they do not support Sonos Arc. Is there a solution to this?  I don’t want to go and unplug my Xbox HDMI cable everytime I want to use my PS5 and visa versa. Any help would be awesome or even a suggestion.  

I have three Sonos Play:1 speakers which are sometimes used individually, sometimes grouped.  When I group two or more speakers, on the desktop app I cannot control the volume of individual speakers, only the entire group.  The small pop-up window with the individual speakers is visible but the volume sliders do not work.  This is only a problem on the Windows desktop app - the app on my phone is fine. But it is a problem on both Windows laptops that I have.  And it appears to have arisen only in the last few days.Any thoughts?

The update to 14.18 seems to have broken the volume controller on the desktop app (Windows 11).  While I can still adjust the overall volume of a particular group with the top slide, the pop-up sliders that allow me to control the volume of the speakers within the group individually are no longer functional.   I have confirmed that all of my speakers, as well as the apps on my phone and desktop all updated to 14.18. The sliders are working normally on my phone.

Hey guys,i just got my sub mini, correctly added it to the system (beam gen2 + pair of ones) but the sub doesn’t play anything at all. Even with the sub level set up to +15, there’s no sound at all coming out from the sub.  tried probably everything, hard reset, connecting via Ethernet, removing & adding again, checking all setup options inside the app, eventually talked to the support but they also couldn’t help. Have to admit I’m pretty disappointed, and looking at other treads on sub mini issues I’m starting to wonder if this is still the memorable Sonos quality (that you pay for) or some mediocre audio brand?

Morning, Yesterday my Sonos system developed a strange issue. From the desktop app (which I use a lot while working from home) I’m now no longer able to adjust the volume of different speakers independently. I have 3 ‘rooms’:Kitchen (a single Sonos One) Living Room (1 x Sonos One paired with 1 x Sonos One SL, 1x Sub (gen3) Hallway (a single Sonos One)I used to be able to mute and adjust volume of these 3 rooms independently but now when I group them the volume and mute are greyed out. See picture attached (no idea why today hallway is deciding to be selectable). I suspect I’ve accidently pressed something in the iOS app but nothing jumps out when I look through it (I hardly ever use the app). Any help would be great, thanks all in advance! 

I used to be able to search amazon prime from desktop or android app and select individual songs to play from an album or add the whole album to the queue.   I can still search and find the albums, but attempting to play a song results in the playing of the whole album, or completely different music all together.   It is almost like searching pandora for a specific song and getting similar songs in that genre.What changed?

Can I connect a Sonos Connect (ZP90) to a subwoofer amplifier instead of a stereo amplifier?  I only want the low freqencies so I can use a wall subwoofer with my Sonos Ones.

I tell Spotify on two different Pixel 6s to play music on my Play:1 speakers and it thinks it’s playing but no sound. Same if I ask Alexa to play via Echo. I can see SonosZP on my network. I dropped speakers from Alexa and Sonos app, I have unplugged and plugged in again, same result. Any ideas?

14 Nov 2022. Alexa on my beam has stopped playing streamed or playlist music whereas my Alexa devices are fine. Anyone know if there is a Sonos problem?

Can anyone tell me how to import playlists from Napster to Tidal? I’m in love with my SONOS, but would dearly love finding a way to save these playlists.Many thanks.

We're having a huge problem with both our speakers. After the TV is shut off (a Sony), and after about five minutes, we get three VERY loud squawks--so loud I jump. The Geek Squad has been out three times but can't fix the problem. Any ideas? This happens on the Arc and the larger one.
