Having noticed the sonos beam 2 volume cannot go louder after it is turned on. However, after a while it can go louder. What is the problem?

In most cases, the Beam returns to the volume previously set, since it’s waking from a ‘sleep’ state, and not turned off.
Are you talking about streaming music, or TV?
Is your Beam connected via ARC on the HDMI, or optical from the TV set?
There are certainly some remotes, and perhaps TVs as well, that reset the volume for you, what TV and remote are you using?
