I have an LG tv and a Sonos Beam in full surround sound config. This forces the TV to change the Sound Out menu to “HDMI ARC” When I change the Sound Out menu to “Internal TV Speaker” it immediately changes back to  “HDMI ARC” This is not good for watching TV at night. This means that the ARC signal is Sonos led. Is there a way for the ARC signal to be TV led?   

I am looking to purchase the Sony 77" Class - A80CK Series - 4K UHD OLED TV along with the Sonos Amp with 2 Sonance (in ceiling) speakers and 1 subwoofer.  I’m planning to use the Sony OLED built in (into the TV screen) speakers as my front sound and use the in in ceiling speakers as my rear sound, enhanced by the subwoofer. My concern is whether or not I will have issues with sound using the Sony Speakers along with my Sonos/Sonance setup? Is it as simple as connecting all devices to the Sonos Amp and I shouldn’t have any issues? Thanks for your direction!

Presently have a number of speakers and a sound bar connected to my SonosNet system.Considering purchasing the new Era 300 as an update to my  2 first generation, Sonos one’s. I understand the new Era 300 doesn’t support SonosNet.  Do I therefore have to remove all my speakers and sound bar from SonosNet to WiFi  to incorporate the new Era300?  If so, how do I do that.   Removing the Sonos Boost from the system will automatically allow all my speakers to find WiFi? 

Surround as in title won’t update. Running S2. Have rebooted both router and devices several times. Surround no longer working. Cannot remove surround since it needs an update. Update goes through “Getting ready” then jumps to “Finishing up” then to update failed.Any advice?

Hi all, I suspect I already know the answer to my query but hoping I missed something and I can salvage my existing system and use my turntable.Current list of products: Connect (Gen 1), Play:1s, One (Gen 1), Sub (Gen 2) and Playbar (Gen ?).Is there any way to use any of the aforementioned speakers with my Connect on either controller? Can I downgrade any of my speakers to make something work or do I need to find a Gen 2 Connect?

Does the Move usb-c input support line-in?

I have my Line-in source level set to 4 and I’m using a Pro-Ject T1 turntable with the Sonos Port, playing through a Sonos Beam and a Sonos One. I have the built-in preamp on my T1 set to Line so the sound is reasonably amplified, but the sound is staticky with almost zero low-end, it sounds very thin. Seems obvious that I’m doing something wrong here but i can’t figure out what. Any help would be much apprecated!

I have a playbar and two play one’s I’m trying to set up in a second room (Kitchen) to extend the sound from the TV in the Great room where I have a playbar, two play 3’s and a sub which are all working as they should be.  The second playbar (Kitchen) works fine but I can’t get the play one’s to connect to the playbar in the Kitchen. When I open the kitchen room in settings it doesn’t ask me if I want to add a play one, it only gives me an option to ‘set up surrounds’ which it won’t do since it doesn’t recognize the two play one’s. On the occasion (after factory resetting and rebooting the wifi, etc) the app recognizes a play one it puts in in kitchen 2 or kitchen 3 which is obviously not the same room as the playbar. Help!! I have factory reset the play ones multiple times, rebooted the wifi multiple times, even did a factory reset on the playbar and both play ones and tried to start from scratch and to no avail. My app still thinks the play ones are in kitchen 2 and kitchen 3 and I c

When I go into the Sonos app my device shows as “Not Registered” and therefore I cannot change anything.If I try to register it and follow the process it gets to “Linking your Beam to your account” and then tells me there is a problem linking and would I like to try again; this is ongoing…If I log into my account via a web browser, I can see the Beam device in my account.HELP!

Hi. Each time I add a new sonos speaker/soundbar to my system, my LG TV sees a new sonos server with each one, which show up on screen. However, none of these will allow me to play any music stored on my synology NAS. The music appears under music shares and all tracks are there but I get “this file not recognised”.  When I access music via my NAS drive server, all music will play. Several questions: Why all these servers for each speaker? Why can’t I access music through them? Can I get rid of them?Regards, Mike 

I have struggled with the Sonos One because it does not support high definition flac files (24 bit encoding, for example). I can’t play 100’s of tracks in my library due to errors like this: “unsupported sample rate 24b9600”in the Sonos app. (on Android) Is this resolved in the Era100? I would like to consider a full apartment setup of the Era… but need to know that my music library will work! (HDTracks and other audiophile vendors often provide 24 bit flac files)

Hi,I’ve just received a reconditionned Beam Gen 1, I’ve plugged it in to my SAMSUNG UE49KU6450 TV (on the ARC HDMI plug) with an apple TV and a PS4 on the other two HDMI plugs.On the Apple TV the screen goes black and the sound cuts for 1-2 seconds quite often, on the PS4 it’s different, I just get sent to the TV source (disconnected from all HDMI sources) and have to change the source back to PS4 but it’s pretty rare (I would say once every 5-6 hours).This did not happen before I installed the Beam, I disconnected everything, and left just the Beam and the Apple TV and I still have the problem, I also changed the HDMI cable of the Apple TV and this did not change anything either (I’m using the HDMI cable given by Sonos for the Beam).I’ve turned off the TV and unplugged it for a couple hours (as asked on another thread) and I’ve checked and there’s no updates for my TV and the Apple TV is up to date (the Beam is up to date too).Thanks for your help!

I would love to buy a bass mini for my sonos move . Can sonos consider doing this ! 

I'm having a new TV installed with a wall mount and am looking to have the original Sonos Playbar / Sound bar installed right below the TV.  Can you comment on what the best bracket to do so?  Can't find one on the Sonos site that lists this model.  Best Buy recommended the Rocketfish universal mount for soundbars.  Thoughts?Moderator edit: Removed hyperlink

HiLast week-end I had trouble browsing my Deezer music on Sonos, so i removed my family member account (the other accounts left unchanged).=> my member account was no longer displayed in the list of Deezer accounts in the Sonos appWhen I tried to reconnect my member account, the beginning of the process was ok. I could select in the browser my member account. But when switching back to the sonos App, I got an error message saying that this account was already configured and that adding it was useless. But my member account was still missing in the Sonos app.I tried to reinstall my Sonos app, without success. I disconnected all my sonos equipments before trying again, without success. I tried from the PC with Sonos Controller and got the same error message. Any idea/explaination?

I’ve just swapped my virgin hub3 for a hub5 and all was going welll until it came to setting Sonos up.The new router had a different name but I didn’t think that would cause any problems but due to the fact that whilst unplugging my speakers I must have dislodged the network cable out of the back of the one wired speaker on my system it was a nightmare.I had to go through loads of screens settings where it connected each of my devices in turn to the new router via wifi. I wasn’t sure why it was doing this as I didn’t realise the network cable had come out until I’d spent ages reconnecting all speakers to the router’s wifi.Then afterwards I noticed the speaker network cable had come out so I plugged that back in and now that main speaker is showing up in the router as being connected via ethernet. But even though I’ve powered the other speakers off and back on again, they are still showing as being connected directly to the router via wifi - I would have expected them to join the Sonos

I would like to connect Sonos Beam gen2 to a Mac and projector. The projector has two HDMI sockets. Ideally I would like to hide the HDMI cable in the wall, using HDMI modules that I fix to the wall. So in end I’ll connect a HDMI cable to the module and the beam, in the other end I connect a HDMI cable to the module and the projector.  If I connect one HDMI cable from the projector to the Beam for sound, and another one from the projector to the laptop for visuals, will that work?  I guess I can’t use standard HDMI modules like this, I need Arc, is that correct? Do you know of any modules that work with HDMI arc/Beam?Many thanks,Henrik

Hope someone can help. I have an old Play one in my bedroom I use for sleep music at night. Worked fine for years. I have just installed a new router and hence new Wifi network in the house and of course now the Speaker is no longer recognised on the network. How do I get this back please as all the options for network settings I can see in the App seem to be greyed out? Thank you.

Has someone experienced pairing APPLE TV 4K with a couple of SONOS ONE only for audio movie reproduction? Are there synchronism problems?Thanks

Is there any simple way to connect an Amazon Firestick to the Sonos Five? As far as I can tell, it’s not possible without a lot more kit because the Firestick only sends to bluetooth and has no line output. If I’ve got that wrong, please tell me...

Now that Era 300 means that Atmos music can be cast directly to ARC, Beam (Gen 2) and Era 300 without the need for a TV (Thank goodness)... Will it be possible to play local surround sound music to these devices too? I have a collection of multichannel flac files that I would love to put in the local library and cast to these devices without a tv. 

Looking for some indication that Sonos is working on M1/M2 support for their desktop app. And BTW I sincerely hope Sonos is planning on feature parity for the desktop app as well.  

What is wrong with the volume differences on my Beam2 between watching TV and then Music?  My TV volume must be at max, but then listening to music later will absolutely blast you out of the house.  I must say that Tech. support says my problem is “noted”, but I doubt there will be a fix.  :(

My home theatre consists of Arc, Sub Gen 3, Sub Gen 2 and 2 Play 1s for the rear. Do I go with the Era 100s or the Era 300s to replace the Play 1s in the rear. Sound, not cost, is the prime concern. 

Thanks in advance for any help here. I’ve never had a problem setting up any Sonos products before but for some reason, when I try and set up 4 in my house (there are no others) it will only connect to one of them, and on all the others I get the message saying “Sonos has been added but may not appear in the systems tab”. I’ve reset the router 3 times and all the Sonos products multiple times too but the problem persists. Any ideas please? Thanks again!
