Sonos move and S1

Just a quick check if the Move is still compatible with S1, reading the general table, it should be, but based on the Q&A of the product, it shouldn’t… Is it a new version which is not compatible with S1 anymore and the table is not up to date or it is just a mistake in the Q&A?

Thx!

Hi @Shal

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Thanks for flagging this, as that is an error. Sonos Move most assuredly does support both S1 and S2, but comes pre-loaded with S2 meaning that it can only run S1 if added to a pre-existing S1 system.

I found this error in the FAQ on the main page for buying Move - is that where you found this misinformation, or did you find it somewhere else? If somewhere else, please supply a link, and I’ll get that page changed too.

Thanks again for reporting this!

Many thanks Corry, that was indeed in the FAQ https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/move

I am running S1 where I will mainly use the Move so all good to downgrade it to S1 even if it is pre-loaded with S2.

Thx again!

I’m not sure if this is a question or not, but if it is, then yes - good to go!
