Several times now I’ve woken up in the middle of the night or other times to hear a full volume hum/distortion “playing” on a room on my system. I’ve at least figured out that when it happens I have to open the Sonos app and press “stop” for which it does stop.  It thinks it’s playing something from the line in source but it’s not, it’s simply distortion.  I don’t even have anything hooked up to that source except for a portal to plug in DJ mixer once in a while.  .  This is terrible.  Any suggestions??

Sonos system: Beam x1, One x1, Play 1x1. Previously working well on standard WiFi. Have ‘upgraded’ wifi with TP-link Deco M5 mesh system. This system is now running 2.4GHz only, in “Access Mode’ and security to WPA/WPA2. Have tried to link both Boom and One numerous times. Manage to get as far as linking to temporary Sonos Network then get a final message “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Beam (or Sonos One). Move closer and make sure its powered on.”I’m right next to the speakers and (of course) it’s turned on.Speakers connect fine when connected by ethernet. Any help please?

I am looking to set up in ceiling speakers in my bathroom.  My current set up is on the old S1 system and I can’t/don’t want to upgrade.  Is it possible to use connectamp gen1 and any ceiling speakers (not sonance).  I understand I will need to power the amp and wire it to the speakers- is that all I need to do?  Any in ceiling speaker recommendations also appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi, since changing my internet service provider my sonos 2 app has been behaving very strangely.I have pretty much tried everything to get it working (going through all the processes) and still failing. some times it would show one room, sometimes another, sometimes (like now) it would fail to load altogether.where I am at now, is the windows desktop controller is absolutely fine and the app is failing to load completely. Weirdly, my wife’s app randomly worked fine yesterday for the first time in weeks and now won’t load today at all.  

I have a strange problem. In one room I have 2 sonos five in stereo. After trueplay is done, they are out of balance. I have to slide the balance 5 points to the right. If i toggle trueplay on off, it is very noticeable. with trueplay off balance is in center 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway to fix this without using the balance control? 

I have a beam gen 2 and the one sl in home theater setting. So when i have watched tv and turned the tv off, i want to start music by pressing the play button on one of the home theater sonos devices.It will not work, because it will flash the orange light ‘No playlist available’ or something like that.Is there a way to fix this?

HT/living room: beam + sub mini + one x 2Kitchen: one x 2Group both rooms so both will hear the TV but my understanding is that there will be a delay in the kitchen.   My living room and kitchen are quite close to each other so I’m sure I will be hearing the echoing.  Question is can I turn the living room’s volume to zero to avoid the echoing while I am in the kitchen?  I can see the tv from the kitchen but am far away that I won’t notice any video/audio syncing issues.. Thanks 

Hi The below is my setupSonos Arc BenQ TK700STi 4k HDR Short throw projector (QS01 ANDROID TV DONGLE) Sub Gen 3 SL one HD Fury 4k Arcana 18 GBPS NEWCARE HDMI 2.1Switch 8k 60 Hz FireStick and BenQ QS01 ANDROID TV DONGLE (that streams android apps)My issue is almost like the one we have in this forum with a title “ Sonos Arc, HD Fury Arcana, Google Chromecast with Google TV , Viwsonic projector: Stero PCM only”I have reviewed and followed (i think i did) suggestions particularly form “GuitarSuperstar”HDMI2 input to my projector : Firestick>HD Fury>output one to Projector and two to Sonos Arc --I get Digital Dolby 5.1 as Sonos ARC input,  with  TV ARC Routing setting to ON or OFF HDMI3 input to my projector : BenQ QS01 ANDROID TV DONGLE > HD Fury Arcana>Sonos Arc  --I get Sterio PCM  [Only if i turn TV ARC Routing setting to ON] otherwise no sound at allAny help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out how to set up my speakers with a receiver. I’m confused as to whether I need the Sonos Port or Sonos Amp. I have a projector + screen set up in my basement.I have purchased a receiver, the Onkyo TX-NR696. I have an extra pair of Sonos One speakers and would like to use those along the back, and purchase the Arc or Beam for the front and possibly another pair of One’s in the front, as well as the Sub. First, is this set up possible? I would prefer to avoid any drywall work or cutting to make this sound setup as work free as possible. How do I connect two pairs of speakers like that plus the sound bar and sub to the receiver? Any discussion is greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I have an Arc and two One SL's.  They were successfully setup with the OneSLs as LS and RS surround speakers. The RS One SL got disconnected and I cannot get it set up as the RS surround speaker again.I have rebooted it several times and it comes back online it is in the room as a separate system and when I try to add it as the right side speaker the app cannot find it.Super frustrating.  I have an eero mesh system set up as a bridge so I am hoping that at least is correct.I am about ready to delete the entire system from the app, delete the app, and start from scratch by rebooting all three devices and building the system again.  I don’t care about losing the settings as we use the system exclusively with our LG C1 and i’m tired of trying everything I can try on this.  I just don’t want to go through the whole set up again only to lose the speaker again.Has anybody out there experienced this and found a solution? 

HI, I currently have the Arc, sub and 2 Ones in my living room, I'm wondering if I can create another room ‘living room  2’ that uses the ones and the sub only?

I have an S1 Sonos system with 1 Play:3 and 1 Play:5. I have a Music Library Setup to my samba share at //servername/media that has been working just fine until I replaced my wifi router last weekend. I’ve re-added the share and I can navigate around within the share just fine from the Sonos S1 app. When I try to play music from it to my Play:5 I get an access denied error. I can play music from it just fine to my Play:3, and if I’m playing music from it to my Play:3 I can then group in my Play:5 and it plays on both of them. If I then remove the Play:3 from the group, it stops playing on both. Please help, thanks! -Ross

Hello,I just configured a pair of OneSL as surround of my playbar. They have been correctly paired with no issue. Then, I tested with some music from the application Sonos, I can hear it on the playbar, but not at all on both OneSL. I configured the surround mode as “complete” in the parameters, but nothing changed. I looked for this issue on the net and on the community, but found nothing, can you help me please? When I play some music from the application, should the speakers ungroup from the TV group? And if I watch something on my TV, they will regroup automatically with the playbar, right? Thank you in advance,Florent

My living room is 800 sq feet. With 2 Sonos One and a Sub I cover part of it . Increasing volume or going for 2 Sonia Five wouldn’t change so much as I willl have a size too loud and the rest too silent . With Sonia Era 300 and spatial audio , any possibility to place 3 or for units and have Trueplay  finding a way to fill the entire room una an optimized way ?? Hi. I have scoured all the boards here and the web and cannot rectify this issue. Everything on the Sonos FAQs cites is 10+ but with 13 all sorts of stuff changed. I have a library on a usb-connected drive on my Mac desktop. This library was connected to my system previously no issues. Upgraded to Ventura, cleared everything and tried to add the library back, it goes through all the steps then says “Sonos was unable to add the music folder. No paths could be added as a share.”firewall is open for sonosdisk permissions open.  file sharing open. can’t even get mobile app to recognize the computer to try and add it that way  Anyone else have this and solve it?  

Hi - I just bought the Roam - I will be paring it with mt Sonos One speaker in my main home. I also have a holiday home - what happens when i bring the Roam there? Do I need to de- pair it? Do I need a new app for the second location? Thanks 

I have 2 alexa echo in my kitchen, one using line out to the Sonos. When playing on the ‘group’ with both speakers the Sonos is half a second behind. Is there any way to fix this?

Are there service people Do your house in Manhattan and show you how to use an elaborate remote to control rather elaborate Sonos system that exists in the apartment that we just bought. I can’t seem to find a service person seem to find. A service person does anybody know of such a person who could come over and help us set up the remote new load is about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide and it is black. I hate to sound like such an ignorant person, but I’m totally at a loss about. How do use this remote, I gather you need a certain code from the company to attach it to the system. Any help very much appreciated. 

My home network is an Orbi router with three Orbi satellites, now all ethernet connected. I’m considering adding a fourth satellite, primarily for better coverage to hopefully make my Sonos network more stable. If I do, I would ethernet connect one each of two separate pairs leaving the other paired speakers on wifi. Or will the ethernet speakers somehow “take charge” of the non ethernet paired speakers?I also have a Sonos Arc soundbar that is ethernet connected to one of the satellites, which is also ethernet connected, part of a system including a Sonos sub and two Sonos Ones in the rear. I was told they all work together through Bluetooth at the direction of the Arc. So my question is, will the Sonos Ones used just for music elsewhere in the house, do the same.I hope all this is clear and look forward to your responses. Thanks in advance.  

if i use 2 sonos in wall speakers, a sound bar, and a sub can i link them all to on tv and room?If so what device do i connect the tv cord to and how do i connect all of them?

I have a Sonos Port and when I try to put it in Mono mode is goes for a very quick second and then goes back to stereo.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Music is playing when I try this if that matters.

Hi,I am hoping you guys can help me solve this conundrum.  Situation - I have 6 ceiling speakers (Not Sonos) in my lounge powered by a Sonos Amp. All these speakers are hard wired back to my comms unit which sits in my garage. This comms unit also houses the Sonos Amp. Currently I can play all my music/YouTube on these speakers.  I also have a TV (LG OLED) in my lounge which is not currently connected to these ceiling speakers and hence the sound output is not great. It’s a large lounge and open space with vaulted ceiling. The TV does have an Ethernet connection powered by a switch which again sits in the same comms cabinet. I would like to achieve the following - Connect the TV to the existing ceiling speakers.  If that is not possible, buy a sound bar for the TV however make the sound bar part of the existing ceiling speaker system if possible. What would you recommend as an option for me?  RegardsManny  

I just received two One SL as a replacement for Play One.  They have been added to my system. Does this auto register my products to Sonos or do I have to register serial numbers myself.How can I see what products are registered?  I have Beam, Sub and (2) One SL
