I am setting up a new S2 system in a 2nd home. The system is all connected and working fine and I am trying to attached an established music library on a NAS drive which I used on the S1 system before for years with no problems. It is a big library with over 25,000 songs. When I attach to it I am told that I am connected and that it is scanning the library. After a few minutes it fails with a message that says: “//xxxxxxx/” is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on, or the path may have changed.” … meanwhile I am connected to that file share with no issues from various PC’s on my network. Sometimes it fails in 3-4 minutes, sometimes it runs 20 minutes and fails. The Buffalo NAS drive is always online and connected and has no issues.I have tried following the ridiculous advice: unplug all sonos devices, the nas and reboot the router and then when the router is back online power up the sonos and NAS devices and try again. It makes NO differ

I used my iPhone to play my music library over a Play3 speaker, but this latest time it could not see the Mac computer that had the library. I launched the Sonos controller on the Mac, and first it said “We found Sonos on your network”, but when I clicked “Let’s connect” it couldn’t find my system and it didn’t see my music library on the Mac. I rebooted the speakers, the router and the Mac and confirmed that everything was up to date. I checked the firewall settings and they are correct. I updated the Mac to OSX Ventura, uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos controller- no change. I can see the speakers using the Sonos app on my iPhone. I know Apple sometimes adds security features without warning- I can’t figure this one out.

PROBLEM: When I ask to Google Assistant to play some song uploaded on my free YouTube Music account or on my local NAS it can’t.STEP by STEP action:I have only one Google Account on my Android Device.First of all I set up Google Assistant to control Sonos throught my Google Account (on my Android Device).Then I connected my free YouTubeMusic account to Sonos App and I set YouTube Music as my preferred service on my Android Device.Then I uploaded some songs on my YoutubeMusic account. If I ask “Ok Google play porcelain of Moby on Sonos” it reply “Ok I’ll play porcelain of Moby from YoutubeMusic on Sonos…. I’m sorry the content is not available on Sonos”.I also tried to remove the YoutubeMusic Account from the Sonos App then I uploaded some songs on my NAS and paired Sonos App with NAS (I can see it on my Music Library on Sonos App). Hi, with the announcement of the new era speakers I was wondering if there was a way I could integrate the Era 300 and use them as rear speakers for an existing Sonos Arc - Sonos In - Ceiling (rears) and Sonos Sub.I would love to integrate the era 300 speakers but I don’t know if my In-Ceiling would be now unusable.Hope my question is clear and thanks in advance. 

I’ve been using my SONOS 5 (gen 1) with my turntable for years without issue (3.5mm wire from turntable with built-in preamp directly plugged into the speaker). This past weekend I picked up an Airport Express so I can AirPlay to the speaker too. I have the AirPort and my turntable connected into a 3.5mm splitter and that splitter plugs into my Play 5.Now when I play my turntable, the volume is MUCH lower than it should be. To the point where I’m at 100% volume and it sounds like it’s at 50%, if that. If I disconnect the wire from the AirPort, the volume goes back to normal. I’m not sure what is going on here. I’ve looked at the app while doing this and the Level doesn’t change nor does the volume of the speaker itself.Has anyone run into this type of issue before? Right now the only way to “fix” it is to leave the airport disconnected from the speaker while playing my records.

After using Alexa on my Arc the sound does not revert to TV - can anyone suggest a fix please? 

I have a Sonos 5 Gen 2 and a QNAP NAS drive with a music library on it. For many years it’s been happily operating as a Sonos S1 system, connecting through SMB1 to the QNAP media streaming service. A few months ago a QNAP update pushed SMB2 onto the NAS drive, and the S1 system wouldn’t talk to the NAS drive. I’m using the Sonos interface on a PC and I’ve uninstalled S1 from the PC, so only S2 is present. I’ve updated the Sonos 5 to S2 to try to get is working with the SMB2 on the NAS drive. It would start indexing the music library folder on the NAS drive, but bomb out quickly with the message “musicserverpath is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on, or the path may have changed”. I eventually tried emptying the media folder on the NAS drive, adding just a couple of folders of music, and then it would index OK. I added about 20 more  folders, and it would index OK. Added a further 20 and this message appears again when I try to index.

Is there still a known issue with the Android Sonos app where you get in a constant “reauthorize” loop with Apple Music?  I’ve tried everything I can think of to try but each time I go to Apple Music in the Sonos app it says I have to reauthorize. I then follow all the steps, successfully reauthorize, but then it once again tells me it needs to reauthorize. I do not have any iOS devices so I can’t use that as a workaround.

Hi thereI purchased 2no One SLs understanding I’d be able to have 2 speakers in different parts of the house playing the same music.Hadnt quite banked on all the login/app/set up stuff, but ok.Plug them in and let the app find them…...It couldnt. The app told me to connect an ethernet cable. (not supplied)I found one and did this. It works and plays music that I dont have much control over, but ok.But the weirdest thing is the app continually asks me to sign into a gmail account that I dont own. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with my own email address but it wont let me do anything in the app unless I sign into this account that is completely unknown to me. So i’m stuck choosing music from a restricted selection of some random app.To add to the mystery if i try to activate wifi so i can move these speakers away from the ethernet, it does so, but the music doesnt change if no ethernet is connected.Great product! I hope you can give me some tips cos they’re close to going back in the

Hi everyone I finally bought a one sl and tbh am not happy with it. It sounds great. BUT: the connection seems a nightmare. It doesn’t connect automatically when I walk into the house. That i can live with.  But when I stream music straight from the Spotify app it cut off the first few seconds of every new song i select. It is better if i go through the Sonos app to access Spotify but then I can’t use the volume toggles on my phone to change volume. Meaning: fish phone out of pocket, unlock, find sonos app, open app and THEN change volume.  by far the worst though: when I go from listening to Spotify to sth else, say youtube or insta and then back to Spotify THERE IS NO SOUND. The track is running (time count running) but silent. So: get back in menu, disconnect, reconnect and then it works again.   First world problems, for sure. But my old JBL blu tooth speaker was MUCH easier to live with. Didn’t sound as good, to be fair.  as always with these things, the problem is probably me. Bu

Wondering if anyone knows what’s the size of the tweeters and woofers inside of Era 300 and Five. From the Sonos website, I found that the Era 300 has 4 tweeters and 2 woofers but I would like to know how big they are. Same question for the Five's 3 tweeters and 3 mid-woofers. Hello! I am considering getting a home theatre set (Arc + 2 Era 300 + 2 Sub), and am wondering when I’m not watching movies, can I use just one of the Era 300 speakers to play music via Bluetooth or will I always have to use the entire home theatre system? Thanks y’all!

I have an arc connected to a tv and wired to a router.  I have 2 Sonos, One’s and surrounds, and a sub, all of with are not wired.  Until four days ago, everything was fine, then the One’s and sub stopped playing and ungrouped from the arc.  I tried multiple things to get them to regroup and play, but the only thing that worked was to disable the arc’s wifi.  As I’ve read, this is not the optimal way to connect surrounds.  So why would enabling the wifi on the arc cause the surround and One’s to ungroup and stop working?

My SONOS speakers are constantly dropping off my Airplay list as an option in Apple Music.  It will try to connect that give me the minus (-) symbol in Apple Music and not play on the speakers.  Restarts of router and speakers often helps but I’m getting tired of this issue.  My speakers NEVER have a problem if I use the SONOS app to the same speakers.  It’s something with the implementation of AirPlay in my SONOS system.  Any ideas?

Hello.We bought a house recently. The previous owner gave us a good discount on her Sonos system [not that we really wanted it, but we really did not want holes and useless cables in the walls].The sound bar under the TV connects to the TV via the optical cable and works well. The two ceiling speakers are silent. There is a Connect:Amp in the basement.I am looking for guidance on what to do now, please. I am clueless. Do I call Sonos? What’s the number?I have WiFi but, obviously, it’s not the same as the previous owner had.Please treat me as a complete newbie, because I am. What do I do?Thank you very much!!! 

Hi,I’ve recently been getting into collecting vinyl and would love to be able to play my records through my sound system (consisting of a Sonos Beam and two One SL’s). I haven’t yet bought a record player, but was wondering what options were available in terms of selecting a record player, and getting it to connect to my sound system. 

Not sure what has happened recently.I've been using the Sonos alarm function on the S2 app without an issue for a while. After the latest update from the play store, the alarm notification / interface overlay isn't there anymore. I no longer have the floating box that let's me close or snooze the alarm.Once my alarm goes off, I have to open the Sonos app and manually find the room playing the music and press stop.Any ideas what happed to the alarm interface? How do I get that working again? 

Whenever I try to search for “Purified Radio 123” (where 123 is the podcast number, with the current one being 343) within the Sonos app, I get a result from the Youtube Music service but when I click on it, it takes me to the artist’s page (Nora En Pure) which DOES NOT list the episodes.Youtube Music does have all the episodes when I search from their app. Without being able to use the Amp via bluetooth from phone directly, I cannot stream these episodes. This seems to be an app bug which did not exist with the Bluesound I had prior. Please fix or provide a suggestion.

I only have the Roam speaker. Trying to download the app and need specific app name in IOS app store. I just plan to use the Roam while playing golf, so need a simple app. Or, do I need a Sonos app at all? have no subscriptions and don’t plan any. What is simplest way to stream music from my iPhone?

Hi hopefully someone can help/assist? All day today my Sonos system has been glitching, dropping rooms, skipping tracks, and endless error messages about cannot play selected track…while the track is actually playing! Very frustrating and Sonos is closed. I’m running the S2 app and unplugged all speakers and replugged them all in to no avail. Thanks in advance! 

Hello, I know this has been asked before, but I don’t see an answer. The songs in an album are being placed in a random order when I say play the album. I haven’t tried other ablums, but the metadata is fine. There is a song order field that contains the song number. The songs show up in the queue in a random order because the order differs each time I play the album. It doesn’t matter if I play the album, add the songs to the queue or copy the songs from the album into the queue. They’re always randomized. This another frustrating “feature” that doesn’t really work and can’t find any solution in the documentation. Thanks.

In the Calm app, depending on your language, the content is different. For example, in my case, I have setup my account to be in French. So the meditation sessions are in French. Any way to have that in Sonos? Changing the language in the Sonos app does not change the content for Calm. :(

Hi I’m looking to see what I need and any recommendations for equipment? I’m looking for Arc and Sub plus 2 x monitor audio ceiling speakers as well as ceiling subwoofer? What other equipment do I need? I also have wired internet connection to amp and anything else that needs it. Ty
