I’m trying to figure out how to stabilize a Sonos system (16 zones made up of 28 Sonos speakers) spread out across 4 floors of a house. Individual zones generally work well, but as you group more zones together for a party, issues increase such as big delays getting music to play and operating transport controls, UI errors like “can’t play song,” and speakers randomly dropping out and coming back. Most zones are individual speakers, though some have 2 speakers, and there are 3 TV rooms with Sonos soundbar/rears/sub. The homeowner has spent many, many hours with tech support and tried all kinds of different configurations (Wifi, SonosNet, etc). The network is made up of (4) Eero Pro 6, all wired with Ethernet. WiFi is fast with 400Mbps down in all rooms.  There are 3 more Ethernet cables through the house that could be used to wire Sonos speakers. The Eeros also have spare LAN ports on them. Questions:This is reaching the upper limit of 32 total devices supported in a Sonos system. Will

Curious if anyone else has seen or heard of similar: For the last several updates I have been unable to successfully install the update to my surround Play:1 speakers or Sub wirelessly.  I am uncertain which update this issue started, but probably before the S2 19.14 version as the first couple times it happened I didn’t realize this would be my new reality.  All my other S2 compatible speakers update without any issues.My surround system consists of an ARC, two Play:1 speakers, and a Gen1 Sub.  Prior to the last two updates, I was only able to update the surrounds & sub by connecting them to my network via ethernet cable.  On wireless update, the update process would return either Error 30 or Error 1013 for these three speakers.What I discovered over the last two updates, 14.19, and 14.20.1, if I remove the Sub and two surround Play:1 speakers from being part of the surround sound setup with the ARC, and instead have them as stand alone or unassigned speakers, then they will updat

We got our Beam 2 installed about a month ago.  We have Direct TV and a Samsung Smart TV. The lip sync is OK when we’re watching recorded programs or movies using the DVD player.  Live TV is almost always off on at least one station, sometimes on all stations.  I’ve tried rebooting everything.  Sometimes it will improve for awhile, then revert back to being way off.  We’ve had the Geek Squad out to the house and they couldn’t resolve  the problem.  They suggested that we call Direct TV and perhaps get a new Direct TV box.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  We’re getting pretty frustrated.

I’ve had my system for several years.  When it works, love it.  But it is very high maintenance and always has been.  I can never just open it up and start playing something.  When it’s not error messages due to path to music folder that breaks for no known reason, it just won’t play w/o resetting the controller, every single time.  I can’t just play music, it gets really old to go through this monkey dance every single time I want to turn it on - which is daily since I use it to help keep some of our rescue dogs calm.  Why am I forced to reset my controller every single day in order to use the app?  I tried support chat but just looping in unhelpful AI responses.  No thank you.

Hi all,Been using Sonos for about 7 yrs now. Currently use it in 4 rooms in the house. Have a boost and all devices are static IP via binding.In our master bedroom we have an Arc, SUB G2 and two Ones.All working fine until today. App said 2 ONES offline. So reset them, re added, all well. Over the next few hours the sub and two ones fluctuated between offline and connected.As of right now, it’s all working, one ONE is still showing as offline but it’s clearly not as there is audio coming out of it.Any ideas????

Hi, I need help. I have a big delay between sound and vidéo. I have a projector who is connected with hdmi on fire tv stick. And my sonos five is connected with aux cable to my projector. My delay is about à couple seconds. I try the synchronisation audio of fire tv stick but absolutly nothing changed. I love my speaker and I want it to work correctly 

Hi I would like to have a wall mounted volume controller in some of my zones instead of looking for my phone. Is this something that can be wired to the amps or is there a wireless option also? Thanks. 

Hi all, I am sure this is a dumb question but I hope you can help. I’m a legacy Sonos customer with an old connect hooked up to a vintage Sony stereo receiver and technics turntable.i want to move to a Sonos amp for a 4.1 surround setup and maintain my old turntable as part of that.what do I do about my preamp situation if I have an old receiver? Can my old receiver act as a preamp or is that a dumb idea? Or should I just buy a dedicated pre amp and sell the receiver? Or something else?After some research I’m not that concerned about losing the analog sound by eliminating the receiver (it also has a tape out if I wanted to maintain that), but I’m not sure what best practice is for moving from a modest analog Phono set up to a sonos amp phono set up. I can’t find a lot online about keeping an old receiver as a preamp with the AMP, which tells me that it may not be the best approach. But I don’t understand why?help!!Edit: I should maybe add that I don’t care much about streaming turntabl

I have a Samsung TV that sends an IR signal for volume control out to the room. It has worked flawlessly for years, including 3 years in it's current house and set up. About 2 months ago, it stopped working unless I stand up in front of the TV to reflect the IR back to the IR sensor. While sitting, or off to the side, it no longer works. Sonos said that set up was not supported, they only support an IR remote, and that it might work for years and then stop, which it did.Anyone else have a similar setup, have a similar issue and find a solution for it?

Hi, I have two play 3 speakers paired in my kitchen and had a power cut, once the power was back on only one speaker worked. Tried the reset options but still no joy. I have play 5 speakers paired in the conservatory, living room and play 3 speakers paired in the dining room all are working fine. Can you help.regards. Dave

Hello,I am currently using the Arc with the original Sub and 2 Ones as rears. I ordered 2 Era 300s to replace the Ones. Will I lose any functionality by using the original Sub with the Arc and the 2 Era 300s?Thanks 

Each time, I or my wife open the app we get different rooms showing up, most of the time one of our 4 speakers disappear.we have 2 Play 1’s a Play 3 - all older and a TV speaker think it’s a boom. We are using the latest app and it’s not like they are. not connected as if you shut down and restart the app they reappear but it’s so frustrating.  Any idea why this is happening?? If have rebooted the speakers, removed and reattached them to the app and it works for a few days and then they start to disappear again - nothing seems to be a long term fix.

I’ve a paid subscription of Amazon Music in Portugal, but as it seems, the Sonos integration is not yet available. Any idea why? Copyright issues? Yet another pissed off customer. I am trying to send a broken Move [Dead Battery)  conveniently out of warranty by three months even although it’s sat in storage for a year .back to Poland for a 30% discount code on a replacement.I printed out the forms sent to me by Sonos customer service These were a shipping label and 3 waybills. I dropped them off at the designated shop . The owner checked it was all there. Told me the problems she had with UPs Ive now been sent an e mail from the wife with a photo of the box dumped on the porch and asking for an invoice that I know nothing about.im now out the country for another 6 weeks so can’t deal with it ,I’ve tried to open the support page by putting the number they gave and told me to keep ,but it does not recognise it .So what do I do now ?I was looking at updating a few of my older system , but if this is the back up you receive I think I will go elsewhere.   

I have GROUP called Main that includes my:1.TV ARC/L&R Play Ones/Sub in Family Room 2. Play One in KitchenWhen watching TV in Family Room with full TV audio playing I often say “Hey Sonos play on MAIN” while in earshot of the Kitchen Sonos 1. I’m finding that I must say “Hey Sonos switch to TV Mode” for the entire MAIN group to stop playing music and start playing the TV audio; for some reason it defaults to music on the “Play on Main” command. I finally discovered the “Switch to TV Mode” command here on the forum and thanks for that BUT: Is there a way to make my DEFAULT audio to always be TV (vs Music) when I say “Hey Sonos play on Main” when the TV is already playing and I want to include the entire “MAIN” group with that same TV audio? BTW turning the TV off/on again will default to TV audio on MAIN group and incidentally “hey sonos stop” in the kitchen first causes the TV to go on mute with unmuting NOT flowing to TV audio in the group/kitchen; both less than desired intents. 

My TV setup is the Arc, a Sub and a couple of Ones for the back channels. Every now and then I wander into my kitchen which is just far enough away that the sound does not carry well. I’d like to add another One to the system that effectively replicates the TV sound (center channel, specifically, as that’s where the dialogue seems to be most of the time). I can create a Group for this, but every time I turn the TV off and back on, the group breaks. Is there a way to create a permanent group for the TV sound? The Arc is the key component here I think, connected to the TV by eHDMI.

Hi, I have a problem with AirPlay. The system works correctly with the Sonos app but when I want to send something via airplay, the iPhone says it can not and the Mac to change the permissions to "Anyone on the same network". But I already have those permissions like that.What can be the solution?

Up until the weekend my Play:1 was functioning perfectly. It has been powered on for months and used weekly with no issues. On Sunday I unplugged it to take it out into the garden while it was a nice day but the app would not see it. I have power cycled the Play:1 and the router Moved next to the router Hard wired with an Ethernet cable Downloaded the Windows app to try that Reset the device and attempted to setup as new I cannot even join the SONOS wifi when trying to set the device upI can see it on the router, I can ping it’s IP and the MAC matches the MAC on the bottom of the device. I suspect the firmware has failed on the device, can I force this again over the Ethernet with a rescue tool?

Hi guys,Although I have a subscription of Amazon Music service, I don’t seem to be able to integrate it on my sonos app.That makes me feel a bit uncomfortable since I’ve pre-ordered the ERA 300 and I’m hoping to have services that support ATMOS and Spatial audio from Day 1.Also, the question is when will you expand the integration on the sonos app and if I can use airplay (using the amazon music app directly) to stream atmos on Era 300.Thanks in advance,Jose

I have an Amp connected to in-ceiling speakers and a Beam. Everything is currently configured as a home theatre with the Amp wired speakers acting as surrounds. This is all in our living room in the main area of the house. Is there a way to have two setups on that system? One for use as a home theatre, and another for music (that would use the ceiling speakers more fully)?

I’ve just got a Sonos Roam SL - how do I use Alexa with it? Unlike on the Sonos One speaker I can’t see a little microphone?Thanks

Long story short… my Sub was amazing when I first got it in July of 22. However the last month or so the wow factor has gone. I couldn’t feel it or hear it like I could.I called Sonos and spent an hour or so on the phone. They concluded it must be faulty, but they couldn’t detect an issue.I went out got a brand new 2nd Sub, run them as a pair and it’s still underwhelming. The songs I played to show how good the sub is to friends, now sounds ordinary. No way would I want to show this off now.  I’m running an arc, 2x One’s, 2x subs all with latest updates.  any thoughts?

I have a theater room set up with a sonos arc, a sonos sub and four (4) sonos ones,  I use all four (4) sonos ones as surrounds speakers however there are times when I am watching sporting events when I would like to use my four (4) sonos ones as main speakers in my theater room. I have been researching on how to do this for weeks but with no success. Is there any way in which I can set up my sonos ones to have this flexibility?  Thanks,Stephen

I’m just asking if any tech experts or indeed any nontech LG owners can help.I have an LG 2019 tv. Also an apple 4ktv and Sky Q box. I had a Beam gen 1 and now a Beam gen 2.On receiving my Beam2 I decided to add my play 1s as surrounds. This was when the lipsync issue started, with video arriving before the audio. So audio delay settings on Sky, TV and Sonos app were ineffective. I then decided to use only LG native apps, not sky nor Apple TV. Still issue was present. By a process of elimination I found that there was no issue with the LG speakers - apart from the fact that they sounded hideous😳. The audio delay was coming from the TV - HDMI -  Beam route.I tried all the usual things, rebooting, resetting, swapping cables, etc.I then tried to research this through all online resources/forums etc  I could find. I came to 1 conclusion and 1 answer to this: 1, the conclusion, this is not that uncommon, particularly with LG, and not just Sonos.
