Hey all,So for Christmas I invested in a Victrola Stream Onyx and a pair of Era 100s for my Dining Room. They look great and sound great, but whenever I attempt to add my Backyard Play:1s (stereo mode) in a group, it only plays audio out of the left channel Play:1 in the Backyard. To be honest, I have noticed it with other audio sources as well too, not just the Victrola record player. It works fine in other rooms grouped when I play it on my Arc (w/ surround Era 300s and Sub), my bedroom Beam, my Move and even my Era 300s in the Garage (in stereo mode).The only solution I have found is to take my Play:1s out of stereo mode and treat them as their own speakers in the Backyard and add them to a group individually, but that seems so counterintuitive. Any thoughts, solutions or help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I get an error when trying to play the ABC News Radio station. It worked fine in the past and other ABC stations still play. I've tried accessing the station directly through Sonos Radio and via TuneIn radio but no luck. The error says that the station is no longer available. I checked the ABC website and a recent post shows that they have responded to similar questions and do not know of any reason.

I have just bought an Era100 and want to use it a the ethernet wired source to set up the “wired” network.  I have had issues with the standard wifi set up so this is a recommended path.I have done this but none of my other speakers are showing as WM:0.  They are all still showing as WM:1.Any ideas?thanks in advance

My parents have an older B&O sound system with multiple speakers, sub, etc. (don’t judge - it came with the apartment they bought a while ago). Originally there was a B&O television as well and the whole system was fairly well integrated. A couple of years later the TV broke and they had it replaced with a Sony TV. The installer used a Sonos Port which in turn was connected to a TOSlink-to-RCA converter to connect to the TV which kind of worked, but the sound relayed through it had a noticeable delay (mostly due to the TOSlink-to-RCA conversion I assume). A while later I bought them a Sonos Beam which is now their main TV speaker. The Port can be grouped with the beam and now the sound through the Port is not suffering from delays. However, when they click “Mute” on their remote both the TV and the Beam mute themselves, but the Port does not and sound continues to play through the B&O system (which the Port is connected to)So:Is there any way to automatically mute the Port

Is it possible to have a home theater setup with two Sonos SLs as the front channel speakers and then two in-ceiling speakers on an Amp as the rear channel speakers? The TV would connect to the Amp via HDMI. If this works, does the Amp need to be connected to Ethernet?

Hi,I've got a playbar, sub & 2 One’s setup for my surround sound. Been working for years, now all of a sudden, the system loses the sub & 2 One’s. I can reboot the devices and it’ll work for half hour, same if I reboot the router. I’ve removed them from the system and added back in, but still getting the same issue.I've done a diagnostics report - 1143481191Any suggestions?

I’ve noticed some strange ghostly Sonos playing, that shouldn’t be happening!If I ask Alexa (using the Sonos mic) to play something on Spotify, then stop it, then get in the car (which automatically starts Apple CarPlay and plays music from Spotify) the music in the house will continue playing too!I only noticed this because it was my wife who got in the car while I was still at home.I can’t imagine how, but is there a way I can prevent this from happening or is this a bug with Sonos, Spotify or Apple CarPlay? It has left me wondering how often this has happened when we are both out of the house!!I’m happy to run further tests/diagnostics to try and figure out the root causes. Thanks, Paul

Is there a way to set a compensation factor for the low sound volume from the Roam?In different rooms I have Arc with Sub and One SLs, Beams, Ones, Move etc, and in the hallway a Roam - all grouped together, with the same sound level, and they all sound just as much, except for the Roam which I hardly ever hear and could do just as good without. I don’t want to play especially loud with the Roam, just *as* loud as the other speaker combinations.

Hello! I'm considering buying a second Sonos 5 speaker so as to have a true "stereo" experience with my turntable. My question is whether this would be worth it. Does a second Sonos five, paired for stereo, make a major difference in terms of sound quality/audio separation? Or is pretty similar?   For context, right now I have Gen 2 Sonos 5 plugged into a Pro-Ject T1 turntable. Generally, the sound is great. The room isn't too big and I don't have complaints.  BUT...If there's a chance sound would be substantially improved, I might make the leap. The set up is such so that speakers would have to be laid out horizontally rather than vertically. I was also wondering about line in issues, as with a paired set, only one of the speakers would have the advantage of being directly "plugged in" into the speaker. Would this make left/right channel sound slightly different from each other?  If anyone has actually made the change from a turntable hooked into one sonos 5, and then added a second, 

Alexa announcements generated from Alexa routines do not work on my Sonos One (2nd Gen). Although, announcements do work from voice activated commands.Announcement through routines also seem to work fine on Beam and Arc, it's just my Ones that it does not work. Confirmed the Ones have alexa setup properly.This was a previous tropic, but that topic was closed, and no resolutions were provided. So, I’m re-opening this issue. SMB 2 and 3 supposed to be supported but always fails indexing a library on a NAS. Have to switch SMB1 on to enable indexing. Once done switch off and will load and play library.Synology DS723+DSM 7.2.1-69057 update 3Mac Sonama with S2 build 15.11.Anyone solved this? I read a post about it all working fine, but not for me. 100s of posts out there. 

Seems like this topic has been covered in various forms but still haven’t found a solution. Have a Sonos Beam 2 connected to the Samsung Frame box via HDMI3 (eArc). When watching any content on the TV the audio drops every few seconds.The strange thing is if I set HDMI eArc from “Auto” to “Off” in the Samsung settings the problem resolves. But then the next time I turn the TV back on it’s not connected to the Beam so this doesn’t really solve my issue.Anyone figure this out definitively?

I’m a little addicted to these speakers , and over the years have accumulated 10 of them. In one big room. Plus a sound bar by the TV  I’m told I should set them up as surround but that function is not working. Then I read that I should not do stereo pairs.  So they are grouped together in one room, and one is stereo paired.  I only did one because it said with that many speakers , do not pair them all as stereo. They sound awesome but I confess I’m not sure the best way to arrange these.  I know many of you guys are smarter about this and I am. So what do you suggest?  Thank you!

I just moved so I’m reconfiguring my system. I have a Playbar I used for TV and a Play5 and a sub for music. What I would like to do is buy a second Play5. I would have the Play5s on each side of the TV grouped with the Playbar and sub for theater, and have a second group, minus the Playbar for music. Can I do that? Everything I’ve read is either very confusing or a no! Thanks for your help.

Hi,I have a few Sonos devices in the house. Most work fine, but two Play:1 speakers upstairs have poor wifi.What are my options to improve it? Can I wire them into the network? Or will that cause issues for the rest of my Sonos setup?

It seems all my SONOS equipment can connect to my router on the “5G” network, except for my Beam. It’s still looking for a 2.4G network.  I’ve done some band steering on my router to create the 2.4G network and it seems to be happy; however, I’d like to have everything on the same band if I can (no biggie if I can’t).  My equipment seems to be up-to-date with software - according to the app.  I’m using the T-Mobile 5G Gateway as my Router/WiFi system.  Also, how do I verify if I have a Gen 1 or 2 Beam?I have the following SONOS equipment:2x Move1Arc+2 SL One+SubBean+2x SL One+mini-Sub2x Ports Thanks,Nick. 

Hello,I've been using Sonos for some time around the house but recently decided I’d like to streamline the sound where my DJ setup is. I got 2x Era 300, Sub, and ran it through Port. The idea was that I could get rid of my amp, wires, and bulky speakers. I set it up and it sounds incredible. That is until I tried to mix and learned about the built-in latency. I called support and they recommended getting the line-in adapter and going in directly without Port. That made the situation even worse. The lag is a couple of seconds at least.I’m hoping someone out there has found a solution to the lag...I really don’t want to return all the gear and start again with something else!

Hello,How i do connect SONOS ARC900 to ONKYO receiver TX-NR6100?

Hi everyone - hope someone mjght be able to help. I have a new Sonos Arc and am trying to get it to stream 5.1 content. The Arc’s working with a SUB and 2 x ONEs as surround speakers.  The Arc is connected using the ARC socket (HDMI 4) on my Sony TV - it’s not the newest so doesn’t have eARC.  I’ve tried content from Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video from a variety of sources, and yet ony one (Netflix on the Google TV app) will stream in 5.1. Can anyone help please?  So far, I’ve only been able to determine that the Sky Q box (UK set top box) is not able to output Dolby Atmos - though not sure about 5.1Many thanks. =====Netflix - MiB3Google TV app: 5.1 ✔️ Sky Q app: PCMApple TV: PCM Disney - Ashoka Google TV app: PCMSky Q app: PCMApple TV: PCM  Prime - Candy Cane LaneGoogle TV app:  PCMSky Q app: PCMApple TV: PCM 

I have a Pro-Ject T1 connected to a Sonos Port. I have several pairs of speakers throughout the house. I’m playing Jimi Hendrix Cry of Love everywhere. In each case the sound only plays through the right speaker in each stereo pair. The volume is fine, just no stereo pair when playing through the port. All other sources play fine. I’ve checked the balance on the Port and other stereo pairs. It all in the middle. I’m using the RCA cables that came with the Pro-Ject T1. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks,David

I’ve got two rooms with a single Sonos OneSL each.  The third room had two Sonos OneSLs in a stereo pair.  All the speakers are wired to ethernet.  Grouping the rooms worked flawlessly.I recently added a tv and a Beam to the third room.  The Beam is paired with the two Sonos OneSLs.  The beam was not initially wired to ethernet.  When this third room is put into a group, music will play throughout the building, but after some random amount of time the third room drops out of the group and will be listed in the Sonos app separately from the group.For the first week or two the Beam was not wired to ethernet, so I wired it up hoping to resolve this issue.  After about a month, the issue repeats each time I group the third room with another room.
