I have been struggling to restore my Music Library located on a WD Home Cloud to my SONOS system since WD issued the notice that the support was changing last August in an email.
I have followed the instructions supplied in the two associated links, Answers 34991 & 50881 to the letter.
The basic configuration of my system is as follows:
Internet router with WD Home Cloud plugged into 1 port, and SONOS Connect plugged into 2nd port. and 5 various speakers connected via wifi
Followed the instructions for IOS products, using Mac (IOS Sonoma 14.2.1), iPhone (IOS 16.6.1), iPad (IOS 17.2)
Using the SONOS App S2 (Version 15.11)
I have even altered my Folder structure on the drive to reflect the instructions that have been given as follows:
smb://WD Drive/Media Files/My Music/
I created a local user as instructed for example, Localuser with a password LocalPW01
But after every alteration or change to settings, I am unable to add to the S2 app my music library.
The WD Home Cloud drive I can access on my Mac, IPad’s & iPhones etc but unable to access via SONOS
I have to admit that I am relatively new to Apple IOS systems, and as a consequence while reading lots of previous posts and questions struggle to apply guidance to my own configuration.
Also I am aware that many people have raised the same issue or very similar previously so I apologise the repeat issue being raised but I am desperate for some solid guidance
