Play 1 Speaker Defect / Popping

Hello everyone,

as you can read in this topic

 two of my 4 Sonos Play 1 are defective. Even at low volume, the woofers start to pop. I was about to start unscrewing and replacing them, then I read here that they will probably be replaced. Is this still the case?

I would definitely contact Sonos Support first before any attempt to take them apart.
