Hi there will my Sonos One Gen 2 pair connect with the Sonos Ray soundbar? I’m hoping to use them to connect to my TV for surround sound.

Since 15.2, Apple Music playback is far too loud and is preventing thousands (if not millions) from using their Sonos systems properly.  15.3 has just come out and it does NOT resolve this issue. Apple Music playback is still far too loud.Sonos support also do not care about the issue, will no longer respond to me, and have closed my ticket as being fixed.  See related thread -  

Hi,I have issues with my Sonos products getting disconnected - they show up as disconnected in the app. Sometimes the app fails to detect the Sonos system at all. After rebooting the speakers it runs fine for a day or so until the problems start again. I always thought this might be due to bad wifi because I was living in a small apartment in a big city and there wasn’t much I could do about wireless interference. However, I recently moved into my own house, updated all ethernet and wifi infrastructure - yet I still have these issues. The weird thing is that other devices on the same network run totally fine (streaming Netflix, etc.) and I do get a ping reply from all Sonos speakers all the time - so there are no “real” network disconnects/STP problems, etc. I used to have the same SSID for 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz Wifi, but recently splitted it, giving the 5Ghz a new name. Does ANY piece of equipment you connect to the line-in RCA’s on Amp require a pre-amp? It doesn’t really seem to be clearly defined anywhere.

Late in March 2024, my iPhone S1 app stopped seeing my Sonos devices.  I found earlier fixes that don’t help.  I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 17.4Settings->Privacy & Security->Local Network->Sonos S1    is ON and was always ONSettings->Sonos S1->Local Network    is ON and was always ONI toggled the settings, rebooted my iPhone, and deleted and reinstalled the Sonos S1 app, to no avail.The same settings and symptoms are true on my wife’s iPhone X.  Sonos S1 used to work, now cannot find any devices.I know it’s the controller because the whole system is seen and works from the Sonos S1 PC app and by Python sonos macros on my Linux PC and my wife’s Windows PC, but it’s cumbersome to not be able to control from my phone.

Recently purchased a Sonos Arc, I installed in on the wall and hooked it up to HDMI and started using it right away.  we didn’t have any internet yet so I did not set it up in the Sonos app.  Now that we have internet I tried to set up the Arc through wifi, I tried countless times and it wouldn’t take.  I tried via Ethernet Cable and was able to add it and create a system, well, for about 2 minutes until it went offline.  I tried and tried to get it back and it would not locate my Arc. So I factory reset the Arc as per manual by unplugging the power and holding the pair button until the light goes white / orange.  Now even with the light slowly blinking green I cannot detect my arc on the app unless there’s a Ethernet cable plugged in, and even when I try to set up with an Ethernet cable which I didn’t want to use, it still won’t finish set up.  My Sonos sub on the other hand, paired with ny wifi connection no issues, sitting in the app waiting for a fricken speaker.  Arc sound works g

Ok so I used to be able to play anything on myphone over the Sonos system which was great because I produce and mix music and sometimes I want to throw it on to hear a mix for reference. Sometimes I’ll make a video of a performance with my camera roll and I want to hear the audio and I would throw it on the Sonos system… lately nothing plays that isn’t “Pandora or iTunes “ etc… I can’t play the audio from a video anymore? I can’t believe they would just turn that ability off?! What am I paying all this money to have these speakers if they don’t play everything I want to play through them? It’s ridiculous… I see people talking about airplay and I am not seeing anything on my phone showing the Sonos… I see screen mirroring and up where the air play is I can select the Move but then no sound from the camera roll… I’m kind of angry about this and I dunno if I’m missing something so I hope I’m wrong here before I got out and bash these guys on social media lol anyone know what’s up?? 

Hey Sonos community,I do not know how many of you use Tidal, but here’s what I found/experienced thus far using Tidal. When I do a search for an Artist within Sonos my return is half or less what I get back doing the exact same search on Tidal directly.  Do you experience the same thing? For example try searching for “Zola Blood” under albums on Tidal,  you get back 7 albums. When I do the exact same search on Sonos via the Tidal integration that Sonos markets so  prominently - you only get 3 albums on the return - What gives?? Anyone have any ideas as to WHY??

Hi, I'm a total novice. I'm going to buy a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) and additionally a few Symfonisk speakers. I read on the Internet that they can be used as surround speakers and that's why I had a few questions: - Is it possible to make the symfonisk speakers play continuously, e.g. when I watch something without an atmos track (or also with atmos)? - Is there a limit for additional speakers and can I set their position relative to myself using some equalizer? - Will everything I play on TV be heard by the set I create? - Is it possible to use this set also as a sound source for a Windows PC?

I am fairly new to multi channel music but enjoying my use of the Sonos Arc and Era 300.As I read other forums I note that some people state that their equipment can tell them how the music is being delivered. For instance 7.1.2, 5,1.0 etc There may be more info as well like modulation etc. It would be nice if I could see this info so I can learn more about what I am listening to Is there a way to obtain this info?I have looked around the Sonos app but not found anything TIA Steve

Hi,I recently changed my wifi service from Shaw to Telus ( Vancouver BC) and after that I am unable to log in though the wifi is being detected by SONOS and after putting the password the system just does not connect. I have bought the same from IKEA - SYMFONISK speakers . and how do you a hard reset on this speaker?

I’ve seen a few responses on this that say move your system closer, but this is the system set up that I have had for over three years now and the issue just started about 6 months ago. My Connect Amps are connected via Ethernet to wired speakers. While playing they just “cut out” and then will start up again. Anyway to do a hard reset on the Connect Amps? I have sent diagnostics to Sonos this afternoon as well. Just curious if others have had this issue / have resolved this issue. Relocating not a solution given where all the speaker wire for the home is located.

How do I add the mlb app to sonos?

Just got my Beam Gen 2 and two Era 100 speakers home yesterday, and installed them on out TV.  Obviously, excited about the Plug-and-Pray process I was about to embark on, knowing full well it wouldn't work, but up for the challenge.After 3 hours of constant speaker resets, adding and removing speakers, etc. Etc. - still no surround sound, regardless of the sound source (Dolby atmosphere, etc.)  The speakers go through the process of creating the Surround group, and I get the confirmation in the app (and that great sound to confirm) then when you check the two Era 100 spealers in the System tab in the app, they show as not connected.  No sound, no connection - nothing.I'll close out that I'm not an audio wizard, but I have worked in the IT & AI industry for 30 years, and aside from the app being super not user friendly, I have gone down every rathole there is to resolve, and so far I have a Beam that works, and two expensive book-ends either side of my TV..…Any advice from you Sono

Hi All, I have a Sonos beam and I use Google assistant.  I would like to get the assistant to not repeat the command or describe what it is doing. For example if I say “Hey Google, turn out all the lights” it will say “Alright, turning off all the lights” and also do the command. Is there anyway for it to do just the command and not talkback and say “Alright turning off all lights”  My partner is going crazy and to be honest I find it a little annoying as well. Depending on what sound level it's on it's either extremely loud or very soft. Any help would be much appreciated. 

Hi,I currently have a Sonos Arc, and I’m planning to buy a couple of Era 100 and a Sub to build a home theater system.I would also like to use that system to play vinyl, and I could buy a Pro-ject T1 Phono turntable, both line in or bluetooth.What is the best way to use a turntable with an Arc+2 Era100 home theater system?

Es gibt dort scheinbar keine Suchfunktion, sondern man muss sich durch endlose Listen durchquälen (auf denen ich dann am Ende DLF Nova nicht finde….)?Auch über TuneIn habe ich keine Suchfunktion entdeckt, sondern wieder nur endlose Listen. Gibt es da einen Trick? Seemingly a common question, but inconsistent answers out there. I have a traditional stereo set-up: amp, wired speakers, wired subwoofer, wired turntable. Question is: can I add, in the same room, two ERA300’s and have everything play in sync? Or will the sound from the Sonos speakers inevitably be delayed? If it is possible to sync it all, what hardware to I need? (Current amp is a Cambridge CXA81 with fairly robust connection options.)  Thanks. 

I’m sure this has been asked here before…I moved my Sonos One (paired) from my Garage to TV Room, after adding wall mounts for Ones. In order to use the Ones as 5.1 (with my existing PlayBase/Sub/Fives) I have to unpair the Ones? What happens when I want to play just music in the TV Room, since my Ones are not paired anymore? Do I have to pair the Ones everytime I want to listen to music and unpair them when I want to use them as my 5.1?

When I click on add service nothing happens.It looks like it is trying to do something but there is not menu. I'm on Pixel 7a fully updated.

I just bougth a Sonos amp.  And for me it works great, while i have an Iphone.  However my girlfriend has an android phone.  And she’s using Youtube video, not youtube music as she listens to music you can only find on the “normal” youtube.  How can she listen on the sonos amp?     We have found a sonostube app.  but then you can’t login to youtube.  she has premium, to avoid the adds.What equivalent has sonos made for the airplay for android phone?  Cause shurely they have thought of this?  this is the 3rd gen amp. and this issues has been all over the internet for many years.  And since they are not adding bluetooth to the amp,(which costs nothing to add),  they must have thought of a better solution?  Or am i forced to return the amp, and get one of the competitors?  I would hate that, because i really like the sonos amp.  but missing a feature for all non IOS devices would be such a massive deficiency that it’s not useable at all. if half of my guests etc. can’t use it..

I have a Sonos Playbar connected to a flatscreen TV (Samsung) via Optical cable, and also connected to a TP-Link router via Ethernet cable (as shown in my included diagram).I essentially have 2 issues:No sound coming out from the Playbar. I checked that the connection is working fine, by connecting the optical cable to another, simpler set of speakers. There is sound output via the second set of speakers. I am unable to configure the Playbar in any way. I can connect to it via my mobile phone, using the TP-Link router as the ‘gateway’.   I first tried downloading the ‘Sonos S2’ app, which stated that the device is incompatible. I then tried downloading the ‘Sonos S1’ app, which insisted that I update the device. However I do not have a wired internet connection at this location.Hoping for some suggestions/guidance on what I might try to do next. I’m at my wits end. Thanks!
