Allnof a sudden i can’t control music via Alexa voice commands.  It’s been working fine for years across my 8 sonos One Gen2’s.   now i say “play The Beatles” and it just tells me i need to install the skill for my Sonos One. If i say “play beatles on Spotify” or “play music on Pandora” - same thing.   Of course i uninstalled and re-installed all the skills (Sonos, Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora” - made no difference.  all other Alexa commands still work fine (weather, home device control, etc). And i can play music thru the Sonos speakers using the Pandora, Spotify or Sonos apps no problem.  Only voice control via Alexa has died.  Sonos Voice Control works fine by the way.  It’s just Alexa.  anyone else?

Hi, I’m interested in the outdoor speakers by Sonos and Sonance. I assumed they would have wifi connectivity like all other Sonos speakers I have. It seems from reviews the Sonos/Sonance outdoor speakers are connected to the Sonos amp with speaker wire. Can I connect the outdoor speakers to power and stream music using wifi and avoid buying the Sonos amp? Mike

I have an older Samsung that I’d like to use with the Arc I just bought. I’m planning to upgrade the tv to a Sony when they are next on sale, but I’m wondering if the arc will work with my current Samsung, which is model number UN65KU6290F.It does have an hdmi arc port.Thanks

Is it safe and recommended to stack Sonos Amps?

I have been using Sonos for many years, and have been very pleased with it.i recently decided to extend my (gen 1) system, and bought some Sonos items on EBay. It occurred to me today that I have introduced hardware into my network and how do I know if the firmware has been hacked (if that is even possible)?Is there any way to check the firmware, or any diagnostics I can run?Sorry if this sounds paranoid but there are so many scams around these days.

Hi all!Is there anyone who use Sonos Arc with Lg c2 tv? I’ve got a problem and dont know if this is related to Arc or the TvI am not able to turn off HDMI-CEC function because the soundbar turn it on automatically right, therefore I cant change the tv sound output Could someone help me how can I solve if it is possible.Thx,Joseph

Helloi have an amp connected to 4 sets of in ceiling speakers that was working great and now suddenly when I put the volume past 70ish the sounds cuts out. When I unplug the right banana clips I can go up to 100 volume.  I understand this to be a safety feature so the amp doesn’t break beyond repair but I can’t fathom what has happened to the right cables to cause this issue. We had some construction work done and new lights installed but I don’t see how it could be related. Does the community have any ideas what the issue is in the connections/cables to cause this? thanks in advance for the help

we bought a house that has Sonos one and our modem died so we put in a new one and now Sonos does not work. I went to troubleshooting and it says I should change the Wi-Fi but I can’t find out how? We plugged everything back the way it was and it still doesn’t work! We live in New Jersey! Any ideas as to where I can get help?

Hi guys, I am sure you are aware of the problem regarding the issue with Alexa compatible Sonos Speakers not responding to commands via the Alexa Sonos Skill App.I have 2 Beams and a One. All three speakers were working perfectly with Alexa until approximately one week ago, and now they aren't. There is absolutely no response from any of the speakers or Alexa once a command has been given. I have been through the processes suggested on line and wasted a significant amount of my own time trying to rectify what appears to be a problem with Sonos or the Alexa Skill App, however the problen still remains. I spent a lot of money on these speakers as one of the main requirements I wanted was connectivity with the speakers and Alexa thus enabling me to control my other smart devices such as lights,  plugs etc. This has been going on now for around a week. Can you provide information to the Sonos community as to what is being done to rectify this problem.RegardsTom

I have 4 different Sonos speakers in my home.  I just added voice control to 3 of them but the 4th device does not appear on the menu and did not give me opportunity to add voice control to it.  Any advice?

I have a Sonos Roam.  I use it as a speaker for my iPhone15 and both are relatively close together and to me.  Sometimes there’s no problem.  There’s a blue/white light next to the Sonos name and I can connect thru Bluetooth and play my music without an issue.  But then I try to do it again and there’s a little red light on the opposite front area and it won’t connect - very irritating.  For instance earlier today I played music thru the Sonos just fine = then tonight, tried to reconnect and play again, - no more white/blue light, the red light was there, plenty of power/battery and it is listed in my Bluetooth settings but isn’t found.  I try to go thru the connections to the ‘system’ which doesn’t work.  Then just now it’s on and receiving the music and all is fine.  I just want to have it be a reliable speaker.

I recently started having serious lip sync issues between my Apple TV and Sonos Arc.  It has worked fine for almost 2 years until a month ago. The issue is most prevalent with Netflix but exists across multiple video services on the Apple TV. I’ve tried using lip sync on all the devices to no avail.  I am running through a LG OLED TV with the HDMI arc set up, with the same cables I’ve used for the past two years. All of the devices have the latest firmware and software updates, all have been rebooted all have been unplugged and plugged back in, deleted, and re-added, etc. etc. etc.  I am able to isolate that the problem is with the Apple TV. When using LG’s built-in, Netflix or Amazon prime TV app, the lip sync issues completely disappear. The built in apps suck compared to the Apple TV but the Apple TV lip sync issues are unbearable (and, frankly, unacceptable and surprising For “technically advanced companies“ like these).  Any ideas?

I have been playing Sonos music to my hot tub via a Sonos Port RCA output that is hard wired through a mini plug at the other end that is plugged into the auxiliary input for the tub JBJ speakers - worked great. But the hot tub motherboard burned out, and the new updated hot tub motherboard will only accept a Bluetooth signal to run the tub speakers (no more hardwiring).Question.  Is there a way to now send a Bluetooth signal to the hot tub speakers through the Sonos Port, or maybe some other way ?

Bridge no longer attached/ unplugged but still shows in S2 app. I've reset and moved 2 gen 1 5s to s1 app and that app works. but can't get rid  and can't update s2 b/c bridge still listed . Uninstalled and reinstalled app But still pulls old data. How completely reset and reinstall s2 app b/c keeps using old info? Only s2 device is arc sl + sub. 

Normally I would think Alexa on the Arc would be a cool feature, but unfortunately it’s driving us crazy!!  The microphone on my Sonos arc can pick up a whisper across the house. We have an open floor plan and an Alexa speaker in the kitchen, but when we are in the kitchen and ask it a question or to play music or NPR, we get an answer from the Family Room Arc. Usually along the lines of “I don’t have that functionality“.  Since we are speaking to the kitchen echo, I don’t want the Arc responding. We have the same problem when we ask Alexa to turn on the kitchen lights. [Upstairs, where we have echoes in every room, and even in the thermostat, we have no problem requesting a light be turned on or off.] But on our main floor when we request the kitchen lights be turned on, they flash on and off as the two devices respond simultaneously. That’s probably TMI. Regardless, we need to turn off Alexa in our Sonos Arc. Any help or directions in accomplishing this would be appreciated!

I could run my symfonisk speakers on my Mac Pro, have upgraded to a Windows 11 System and can’t seem to use them as my primary speakers.  

When I choose an album from Apple Music it doesn’t show all the tracks that I would see if I played it on my mac?

I have an LG tv and sonos Ray.  The remote was configured to that it recognized by the sonos system, however the volume/mute is not working anymore.  When I try to adjust the volume the it is registering on the tv but not actually doing anything.  Any ideas?

Hi everyone!I'm facing an issue with connecting a new LG G3 65” TV to a new Sonos Arc soundbar. There's simply no sound coming through the HDMI eARC port (port number 2), despite following all instructions carefully and confirming that sound should be working. Both devices are updated to the latest firmware. Here's what I've tried over a fruitless 8 hours, with no success:1. Reinstalling and resetting both devices to factory settings, multiple times.2. Ensuring the cable is firmly connected to the HDMI 2 eARC port.3. Disconnecting all other HDMI devices, including an Apple TV 4K (3rd gen), which was disconnected from the TV almost all the time.4. Powering off the TV and soundbar and unplugging them for several hours, then reconnecting everything.5. Resetting the TV's A/V settings (pressing the Mute button three times).6. Testing the soundbar with Bluetooth, the TV's optical audio output, and Airplay - in these cases, the sound works perfectly, indicating the issue might be with the TV

I’ve got an older surround setup and have recently purchased Arc, Era300s and Gen3 Sub. I’ve read that you can run two subs as a config for home theatre but can you mix generations? My older sub is a Gen2.I’m still weeks away from setting everything up .. I need to reinforce a wall for the bigger TV and it won’t stop raining where I live :(Obviously I’ll find out when I connect everything but I’d like to know while the discounts are active.

Hi everyone,I have recently purchased a Sonos Arc and note that the vocals are left-sided. I have read a few other brief discussions about this issue on here, but I would be grateful for more recent insight into the problem. I'm very surprised that it is not a more prevalent issue for people. I've researched the Arc extensively online and only a couple of people amongst a vast number seem to have mentioned it. I know that the central arrangement of the speakers are asymmetrical, with the tweeter to the left of centre. Annoyingly this is proving to be very prominent and distracting. I sit about 7ft away from the Arc. I've tried altering the equaliser settings, loudness toggle and trueplay process, but it's still clearly to the left. I doubt anything will compensate for the physical asymmetry of the speakers. Is this really not a big deal to most? Thanks. 

Buenas, tengo un sonos Connect:Amp y me gustaría saber si en la entrada de audio por cable puedo conectar un televisor o solo puedo conectar equipos de música. Lo he conectado alguna vez y si me funciona, pero me hace un rateo en los altavoces y no se si es un defecto del amplificador. El rateo solo ocurre cuando conecto la entrada de audio por cable. Cuando lo uso de manera inalámbrica me funciona perfectamente. Me podéis ayudar?? Gracias

Hi there, recently re activated my sonos play:5 (1st gen) from 2years hibernation. Connecting easy but device keepsstopping/interrupting the song every 20min for approx 10 sec. Then it would continue the song as if nothing happened. Any idea how to rectify this? 

Arrggghh I’m getting to a point where I’m ready to throw in the towel and give up my loyalty to Sonos. I own Arc, 4xPlay One’s, Sub Gen2, PortFor some reason the Sub decides to disconnect from the system EVERY day. Resulting in 30 mins of turning of routers, items resetting networks etc In turn I can then lose the surround speakers meaning I have to reset them all!I’m in the UK and the system is all connected wirelessly to the latest Vodaphone Ultra Hub.When it works, it sounds great, but it’s flaky connectivity is driving me to despair.Any ideas?
