Now that I have my new Frontier Fiber with Eero Pro 6 mesh connected and all my Sonos are up and running do I need Boost anymore?

Depends. How are your speakers connected? Are any Sonos devices wired, other than the BOOST? Which Sonos devices do you have?

Does your system work well with the Boost? Then why change it?

All my Sonos speakers are connected wireless off the new Eeros and seem to be working fine. All appear in my Sonos 2 app. All playing music throughout the house.

Yes, it did work okay to well when i had the old school dinosaur modem/router (10+ years old). I have the new Eeros Pro6 with 2 Eero mesh. The Eero router only has 1 port for wired so I have a 4 port switch off of it and all 3 are being used. I don’t have the Boost connected to the switch, but the Sonos seems to be working fine without it. I do have a 8 port Netgear switch if I needed to switch out the 4 port. I have a total of 15 Sonos products, including Move and Port. All working off the new Eeros.

If all Sonos devices are connected to the eero network, and not SonosNet, then the BOOST is not doing anything, and can be turned off.

I’m currently troubleshooting my two Boosts post S2 app update. Things are a bit confusing and conflicted after the app update, but I think I’ve got most things working now. Except for my Boosts!

System background:
[home] Beam gen 2, Eras 300 x2, Sub gen 3, Boost, plus Roam gen 1, Wi-Fi router, nothing wired

[summer home 1] Beam gen 2, One x2, Sub gen 2, Boost, Mesh, nothing wired

[summer home 2] Fives x2

I can “see” my Boosts via the Sonos web login, (https://login.sonos.com/) but don’t know if my systems are connected to Boost?! (see pics)

I haven’t succeeded with a software update either, or at least not at “summer home”.

Finally, I just read this morning that Boost has reached end of life, so I’m not sure if that only means no more sales… or that we’ve lost Boost support at Sonos.

My routers are in a cabinet out of site, no where near my Sonos speakers, so dragging a Ethernet cable isn’t an option. Besides, that’s the whole point with Boost.

Any Sonos staff that can comment?!
