Afternoon everyone, I’m building a 24’x36’ garage gym and want to build a surround sound system that will rattle your bones when lifting. I powerlift and want something that melts your face when you’re going for a personal record on deadlifts or heavy squats! I know very little about what setup would be the best to go with and was hoping for some guidance and recommendations on what you think would be the best for that. I appreciate any feedback.

Hi allI’ve given my son a Play 1 speaker for his room, but he uses a TP-Link as he can’t get a good connection in his room.  We’re running into problems setting it up as it keeps coming up with error messages.  Any tips gratefully received! 

Hi, Unfortunately I've just updated to the terrible new app and can’t find where to change from Dark Mode to Light mode. Also, the recent AMA, the Sonos staff kept referring to being able to customise the home screen layout to how you like it, but i can’t find any option to do that. i’m just stuck with this awful mess. regarding the light mode, sonos give instructions in the link below, but under my app preferences settings menu, i only have general and product setup, nothing about appearance.https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/enable-dark-mode-or-light-mode-in-the-sonos-app Thank you in advance :)

Hi, I have a Sonos sound system composed of an Arc, 2 One SL speakers and a sub in my living room. I recently (last few days) discovered the One SL speakers no longer are outputting sound. I opened the Sonos android app to discover that there appears to have been an update, and both my One SL speakers are showing as network unavailable. I factory reset the 2 surrounds and reconnected to my system (living room group) , but I still get no sound from either. Both are flashing green and show as having no network available in the app. Please help as this is very frustrating. This is the first time I've had an issue with my Sonos products since purchasing them around 3 years ago.If you need any more information let me know. Regards, Greg

I create Sonos Playlists with songs from Napster. When I play the playlist I will get an "Unable to Play...lost connection to Napster" message for some songs in the playlist. I will go into the Playlist and see that about 12-15 songs have a black icon next to them (no record cover graphic) and these are the songs that will not play. I have to go and redownload every one of these songs back into the playlist and remove the "bad" song with the black disc icon. It is exactly the same whether I’m on the Sonos (2) Desktop Controller or the Sonos (2) Mobile App. I now have about 500 songs that need to be deleted and reloaded. On top of that, when I search (Napster) for artists/albums/songs, I am now finding that huge numbers of them come up with ‘No selections are available’. Napster is now practically unusable - as is my Sonos system. I have tried: 1) deleting and reloading my Napster Account - no change. 2) Turning off my router for 2 minutes - no change. I am not the first person to post

I have a fairly full network of Sonos products with about a dozen speakers and various accessories. Multiple times my Sonos network has made a sound that sounds like an explosion. It’s extremely loud and the first time it did this I assumed that the speaker amps had shorted out and were now broken. The sound is extraordinarily loud and sounds like it would be damaging to the speaker coils. Afterwards, the system goes silent for five or 10 seconds and then it starts up again and seems to work OK. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?Bill

We've just moved and have a new Wi-Fi router, wifi name and password,  with a different provider.  I'm trying to set up our speakers on the Wi-Fi network in the new place and as far as I can see, the only way to do that is by doing a factory reset on all of the speakers (we have 5 speakers) which seems to means  losing all of our Sonos playlists.  Is there any way to set it up again on the new Wi-Fi, without loosing all of our playlists? It seems like a pretty major flaw to have to do a factory reset and loose years of playlists just to set it up in our new house.  Thanks!

I’m building a media wall with fire underneath & the TV, LG G3 65, sunk into the fake wall.My Arc is going to be difficult to integrate as it needs to protrude & height wise it’s pushing the TV too high.I could put the Arc above but it would still protrude & sound could be impacted. I could have a bracket to pull out the tv & Arc when watching but that seems like a faff. Im therefore looking at swapping out the Arc for KEF LX II or LX II LT’s.  I need to connect them to my Era 100 rears & Sonos sub mini.  Will the Sonos amp be able to do this and will I be able to use the TV remote for volume??any help/thoughts very much appreciated!

I have speakers in S1. Wanna combine the new frame Sonos from Ikea. I saw a funktion in s2 that you could downgrade to s1. By mistake someone uppgradera to the new app. How do I go from here?

My Sonos 5 stopped responding this morning - I have reset it and am trying to add it back to my account.  It connected in the app, then said that the product needed updating.  The process then got stuck saying unable to connect the device to my account, and i appear to now be in a loop.  When I look at sonos.com I can see the 5 there, but registered 4 years ago Just to note, I am using the latest version of the app and my Play 3 is working perfectly (as was the 5 until this morning)

I have bought 2 era 100 for the bedroom and they won’t link to my account 

I took the system update tonight and now my sub will not link to my account. I reset it and it gets found and connects but then won’t link to system. Unfortunately it has also updated my controller which is terrible. Any ideas? Every update seems to cause problems with my sub and surrounds

Hoping to get some help here,  since Sonos customer service is worthless.  I currently have the play 1 and play 3 speakers.  I just purchased the Five, with the hope of this working in conjunction with my Donner turn table.  1-will the turn table work with all of the speakers ( old and new)? 2-which version of the app do I use? Thanks in advance for the insight!Moderator edit: edited for clarity

Hi,I want to add some Sonos ONE or PLAY:1 speakers as rear speakers to an existing Home Theatre system and possibly a PLAYBAR as the centre speaker. I already have a Onkyo Amplifer with Floor Speakers and Subwoofer so I just need to know what, if anything I need to purchase to facilitate the above and how best to configure it. At first I thought I would need a SONOS AMP and run an audio output from the Onkyo to Sonos AMP but what I have read so far has just confused me. If anyone could let me know how best to set this up, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have a Connect S15 and a 3rd party amp.  I want to use Sonos Solance speakers but want to make sure my 3rd party amp will power them before I purchase.  Any reason that setup wouldn’t work?

Microphone, microphone light, (and Alexa), no longer functioning after factory reset and reinstalling under a new account. The main led light is functioning and the Beam itself is working ok, along with my 2 Play:1 speakers as surround sound.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I have an older Sonos Connect that hasn’t been used for a while. I have loaded it up and tried to connect to a new WI-FI network using the S1 App. After trying lots of things it wouldn’t connect. I have now managed to connect it via Ethernet and the S1 app detects it but it won’t play any music as it says it requires an update. When I try to update, it instantly says “Update problem”  Error code 1101. I have tried lots of things, my router settings are not blocking anything. Tried on my iPhone and Mac. Whenever my PC is turned on or off, the Sonos Era 100’s make a connection sound… This is VERY ANNOYING as it disturbs the household in the wee hours! I have checked Windows Startup Applications and Services and there is nothing there to indicate Sonos app/service is on permanently.I have 2 Era 100’s in a stereo pair configuration and I use both the PC desktop app and the Android Phone App with them. A similar question was raised 7 months ago however the “fix” offered does not work.Era 100 makes loud sound when connecting and disconnecting bluetoothEra 100 has an Idle Auto-Disconnect setting which will disconnect your Era 100 from a Bluetooth device after 30 minutes of sitting idle. This setting is off by default, but can be turned on in the  Settings tab under System → Era 100 → Bluetooth → Idle Auto-Disconnect.

Listing my issues here from my iPhone, are: the new app cannot play my albums on Spotify, they do not appear on my phone anyway. alarms, timers, etc. and you know that already  cannot play a radio, says it cannot connectI am now bound to use the controller on my MacBook to play my Music. I read something about 3rd party controllers for iPhone so I may try that and abandon the Sonos controller for iPhone completely, if that is an option?  This is so utterly confusing, why guys, why, did you push this update through the throat of millions of users, ultimately being aware that your loyal users would be unhappy and scream? 

When will SONOS be available on Alexa do Brasil for integration?

Are song information and volume controls available again from my iPhone home screen? That feature was the most important one, and I am hoping it returns. Thanks!

I have installed my sonance 6.1 system, and when I wire the subwoofer to all four wires- both right and left channel- the sub cuts out. It seems to work fine when I only attach one channel… at this point I have white and green connected and red and black are not. What would cause the sub to short out when all four wires are connected and why does it seem to work OK with only two? 

The desktop app not being able to rename devices or pair to them is just silly in 2024. Could we get the same admin and setup features on the desktop app as the mobile app? At least if the computer is on WiFi then it should be able to function the same as the app this feel archaic currently.

Whenever Sonos has a system update, they require that the Controller on macOS be updated. They provide the apparent means (click on Update) but always fail to complete the update. There is no error code, it just fails to complete. Always. The app will not proceed to play music - it insists on the update.The way I have found to deal with this is to get Sonos tech support to send me a link to the updated .dmg (installation image). I suggest that Sonos make this readily available so I don’t have to reach out to tech support.If you follow Support-Update Issues, it recommends to uninstall and reinstall. But, it doesn’t provide a link for reinstalling.If you follow Support-S2, it tells you how to upgrade an S1 system to S2. That process starts with “Open the Sonos S1 Controller” for iOS or Android. 1) that reflects Sonos’ reliance on mobile apps (and negligence of desktop apps),  2) it is directions to update any devices you may still have on S1, 3) it does nothing for the desktop controller

Hi, this is doing my head in, can't seem to get the Denon to push out sound to my new second hand Sonos Gen 1 stuff. I've got a Sonos connect, 2 x Play 5 (gen1) speakers. trying to hook up old Denon TT, CD, Tape and DVD deck through my denon amp to the new speakers. previously had passive speakers that worked fine. I can get turntable to play if I bypass everything and use 3.5mm jack from small pre amp and it sounds great, but I want it all to go through the AVR. Any help appreciated
