I have the latest version of the iOS app on an iPhone and iPad. My speakers are running the latest firmware. However, I do not see either the alarm management option or the set location option (for SVC weather support). Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there a fix?
Those settings are under the System Settings (gear icon). Next to “Your System”, tap on “Manage”. If you don’t see the settings, restart the app until you see it pop up.
Yep, I know where they are supposed to be. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ve force quit it. Doesn’t show up.
Also my other Sonos speaker groups aren’t showing up most of the time. But voice control is enabled on them.
I have the same problem with alarms (don’t use svc). I’ve rebooted, reinstalled, upgraded, can’t get it to show.
The app is a buggy POS. I’m waiting it out hope that they fix whatever bug is causing this eventually. Alarms still work in the desktop app so it’s obvs the new app.
If you are using a DNS-based ad blocker, that might be the source of the problem.
With the latest version of the iOS app, I was able to get the weather option (and the alarm management and the sleep timer) to appear by:
- Force-quitting the Sonos App
- Switching from NextDNS back to my ISP’s DNS provider
- Turning off Private Relay (probably not needed)
- Restarting the Sonos App
I was then able to turn back on NextDNS and the options remained. I read somewhere that Sonos is using features flags to enable/disable features and I suspect that the feature flag file is being hosted by a server that’s blocked by my usual DNS settings. It’d be nice if Sonos would tell us what sites to put on the allow list.

I am a nextdns user as well. Was able to get alarms back a few days ago by switching to cloudflare temporarily. Switching back to nextdns was ok for a while but they’ve disappeared again and won’t come back after issues with the app updating (I had to delete and reinstall as it wasn’t working )
Did you update today? I did, but the included queue functions aren’t there for me. Same for you?
ive whitelisted Sonos domains and looked through blocked entries but I’ve got nothing.
I saw the new queue features also. I’ll see if all of these things stick around now that I’ve gone back to NextDNS.
I had already whitelisted *.sonos.com in NextDNS, so my guess is that whatever CDN they are using to serve the popups in the app is also hosting the feature flag file and it doesn’t have a *.sonos.com domain name.

Yeah you nailed it, your guess looks correct. Switching to cloudflare and starting the app brought alarms back - as well as the queue functions and sleep timers that were not there when I updated today. Back on nextdns and all is good for now. If it goes away I know what to do. Thanks for this.
