Just bought an arc and the power cord doesn’t seem to fit very snugly into the back of the sound bar. Surely it shouldn’t be so loose & flimsy… what am I missing ? 

Good morning everyone,   I recently received the brand new Sonos Arc and I am currently having issues with lip sync when using any external player.   My setup is as follows:   Sonos Arc connected to Earc HDMI port Xbox one X connected to gaming HDMI port Tv set to pass through Xbox set to HDMI out Dolby Digital for home theater. Both HDMI cables are 8K rated and brand new   Is there a setting I am messing up along the line?  I had thought that the HDMI 2.1 Earc port was meant to resolve all of these issues. I would love to keep this product as its perfect for my setup but the audio sync issue is a deal breaker!! Any help would be appreciated!

I'm the owner of a Sonos Arc since a couple of days. I already had a stereo pair of One speakers. I took some time to add them as surrounds, as it did not work straight away. First I had to reset them otherwise it wouldn't work in the S2 app.I have a LG CX TV and use the E-ARC port. Everything is working fine except for the volume control with the LG remote. I've tried this, but it still doesn't work. Please help me out to make this work. Thanks. 

Hello Since the launch of the Sonos Arc; which now brings Dolby Atmos to Sonos Home Theater, the burning question has been whether or not one’s current TV will be compatible to pass the Dolby Atmos signal. The short answer is “yes” if the TV manufacturer claims that Dolby Atmos can be enjoyed over HDMI-ARC to a compatible speaker. Emphasis on “TV manufacturer claims”. The fine print of that statement is that the signal is compressed over HDMI-ARC. In order to enjoy lossless Dolby Atmos (uncompressed signal) the TV must support eARC over HDMI. As an FYI...the LG OLED C9 Series does support eARC. However, the HDMI port on the C9 series is only labeled as ARC which at first glance suggests eARC is not supported. Ah...but wait...LG decided to make eARC selectable (on/off) in the menu settings. I’m have been trying To get Dolby digital plus to work on my Sonos arc with no luck so far. My tv supports it and I have had it working through the native movie player on my tv and through my nvidia shield 2015 and 2017 versions. On occasion sound will play and it’s completely out of sink. But in the about my Sonos system section of the S2 app it will only show Dolby Digital 5.1 or I just wont get any sound. Im still not sure if it’s the arc which is the problem or my TV. Normal Dolby Digital streams from my PlayStation and Xbox work perfectly in Dolby Digital. But DD+ has been a disaster so far. Any advice would be appreciated.

First off, I am a huge Sonos fan! Been one for as long as they have existed. I was lucky enough to get a Demo model of the new Arc before it launched and was impressed by the upgrades from the previous Playbar. I knew then i wanted to grab one and add it to my growing collection. But at launch, they vanished and ended up on resale sites instead of in the hands of someone like me who actually loves the product and had anticipated a smooth launch that included actually getting one. None set aside for current users, none in stock at retailers and oddly nothing on the Sonos website. While listening the most recent earnings call, there were some interesting excuses as to why this happened and why the product is unavailable until mid October but no apparent solutions (yes, i am also an investor). This was shocking to me as Sonos usually has much higher standards than the competition. For this launch the blame was everywhere. From covid to manufacturing issues there was a ready excuse. Yet st

Can I have my Sonos beam to the right of my tv?

I have been having this issue since I got the ARC, basically audio drops when switching to different devices or exiting internal apps back to tv tuner.At first I thought audio was just dropping, but I now realise it’s the HDMI ARC connection that is the issue, as basically the ARC is losing the connection to TV and along with it the audio, weather this is an LG issue or Sonos issue I’m not sure.I can get the Sonos working again by switching off eARC and back on again in the LG audio settings.Even if this is an LG issue perhaps Sonos can work with LG to try and solve it.   

After parting with £800 for my new Sonos ARC and plugging it into my Sony Bravia AG9 with EARC, I was unhappy to find that when playing music certain tracks have the most awful thud on the bass beat...(sounds like someone thumping a wet Wellington) As for the app, I'm unable to use either S1 or S2, turns out my Android phone isn't compatible...(BlackBerry Dtek60) as much as I wanted and waited for this new soundbar to arrive, I don't think I'd have bought it if I'd known I'd need to buy a brand new phone as well to operate it. So now I have to borrow my partners iPhone to use the features.     

I recently purchased a 55 inch Sony A9G Master OLED TV and am trying to set up a surround sound system with my Sonos Beam and two Sonos One speakers. I was able to create a surround sound pairing in the Sonos app with the three speakers, and have the Beam plugged into the TV’s HDMI ARC port, but do not hear any sound from the rear two Sonos One speakers. The TV is set to Dolby Digital mode (not Dolby Digital Plus) and have eArc mode on the Sony TV on auto mode. When I go into the “Home Theater Control” area in TV settings, the TV does not recognize any audio system. My questions are:Is it possible to use my current setup as surround sound with this TV and, if so, what am I doing wrong? Is it possible to use the TV speakers in tandem with the Sonos speakers (ideally with TV speakers facing me, Beam directly behind me, and one Sonos One speaker on either side left and right behind me)? Not sure if this would be possible as the speakers would not be plugged into the TV directly (ideally w

I have a Sony x900F and use an Apple TV 4K for all tv watching.  I’ve read mixed reports about the Sonos ability to work with the X900F & ATV 4K combo, since the TV only has HDMI ARC, not eARC.  Has Anyone with this combo had success?

Can someone at Sonos please explain the rationale of the 4" distance between the Arc and the TV when wall mounting? I assume that it's to give clearance for the top-firing tweeters, but my TV is only 2 cm off of the wall- the Arc sticks out far in front of it. Wouldn't this mean that I could (in theory) do fine by mounting it closer to the TV? And if so, how close can I really get before performance is affected? 

I have Sonos Arc synced with a sub and two SLs. Some movies such as John Wick seem way too loud with low dialogue. This could be the movie just wanted to know if there was any tricks to solving this issue. I have an Apple TV and also fire cube. The Speech Enhancement is on and true play has been done as well.

Hi community,I am streaming content through my Apple TV 4k (5th gen) to a projector and my Sonos Beam. The projector doesn’t have an ARC port, so I use an HDMI audio extractor to split the audio off the HDMI using the Toslink optical connection (supplied). My viewing experience has improved significantly!However, I am yet to be able to control the volume of the Beam with the Siri remote and need some assistance! I have followed the instructions in the Sonos post without luck. The Siri remote does not have a mute button, so the TV remote learning process fails with the current iteration of the Sonos S1 app (I have a gen 1 Play 5, hence the old app). I have followed numerous troubleshooting steps in the “Video and Audio” settings of the AppleTV, tested the CEC and Remote settings with numerous variations without luck.I understand that I will have to use the IR remote function to control my Beam’s volume given that I’m using the optical connector. I got the Arc connected and set up with Alexa and moved the Beam to the bedroom. Arc won’t turn off the Tv using Alexa. Alexa is responsive but just nothing happens

I appreciate how the Sonos app will let me send “music” audio (from the app) to all the speakers in my surround setup -- but we also need this option when using video audio (via HDMI)!  I watch lots of music via YouTube/Facebook/Etc -- but the Sonos tries to play this stereo output as 5.1 which means 95% comes through the center (Beam) and none through the rear (One SL) speakers.  This is easily done for music, so it should be possible for video content too -- thank you!  

How do you know if Amazon Video is broadcast in Dolby Atmos?

My new surrounds sound great with Movies, however they produce no sound when streaming from Youtube, Pandora, or Google Play Music. I have not been able to find a work around. Any suggestions? My Setup:Sonos ArcSonos Sub (Gen 2) Sonos OneSonos One SL ​​​​​​​

Hi,I've just plugged my ethernet cable into the Arc and disabled the WiFi on the Arc. It has now bumped my Sub and 2 One Sl's from the grouping. It is having problems reconnecting. My question is - is it not possible to run the Arc on Ethernet whilst the rest of the grouping runs on WiFi?Thanks in advance.

Hello,I am thinking of placing the Sonos One SL rear speaker as they are in the diagram. I have Sonos Arc under the tv and Sonos Sub (Gen3) next to the systems. What do you think? Will this work for surround sound when watching movies? Million thanks in advance.

HiJust curious what the HDMI cable Sonos supply with the ARC is capable of, is it HDMI 2.1 spec up to 48gbps or 18gbps.The reason I ask is in the future I may swap out a few of my HDMI cables so they are all up to 48gbps, once certified cables exist of course. Thanks

I am trying to connect my 12 year old Sony Bravia TV to my brand new Sonos Five using a 3.5 mm male to male cable. One end goes into the tv headphone output jack easily but the other end would not go fully into the 3.5 mm jack of the Sonos Five. I applied a slight force but no success. What am I doing wrong?

My cat ate my cable. I do not see peplacement cables for the connection between the Playbar and the TV. Is this a standard cable or is it specific to the Playbar?

Something rather strange. I have to turn up the volume via remote on the TV before the PVR volume control  will work. On turning off and on the volume on the TV resets itself to 0 without the slider bar showing it. meaning I run out of slider to get the volume to work at all. Might be in the TV settings. I have ARC and speakers turned off as only relates to HDMI connection > audio is of ( makes no difference anyway) and optical output set to RAW. Weird huh?. Any thoughts ? - would really like to solve this.Thanks in advance. Mike 

Hardware: LG C9, Sonos Beam, Nvidia Shield Pro (2019) Problem: Slight audio skipping when using Nvidia Shield Pro (2019) for streaming content (Netflix, HBO Go, Plex etc.)  I have a 2019 Shield Pro that I run a plex server off of. I have the Shield plugged in through HDMI and the Beam as well through HDMI to my LG C9.  When using the internal apps, the audio is fine and does not pause or skip. However, when using the Shield to do the same streaming of content, audio skipping is introduced. This did not happen on my old LG Tv with the Shield connected.    I have the shield set to play only Dolby codecs, as well as plex. I have verified that I am getting Dolby Digital 5.1 when streaming with the Shield in the Sonos app.    Has anyone else experienced this? Very frustrating to have spent money on something I can’t use for its main purpose.
