Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

Guessing this is already been suggested, but would be cool to come out with a pair of headphones wireless, of course that hook up to your Sonos speakers and whatever is playing at the time (a movie). Thanks
This was the headline to an email I received last month. I nearly spat out my coffee at the screen.Since their invention, speakers haven’t needed to be upgraded with software updates.Good speakers, and I do consider Sonos good speakers, only need to be replaced when the cones, or some other physical component, is knackered. A speaker isn’t a tech consumable with a lifespan under 10 years, a good speaker can be cherished and passed on through generations.Sonos you are a speaker company. You do not build hardware like computers, or phones - your software shouldn’t be entangled in an arms race for more CPU/GPU/RAM etc. so why the need for hardware upgrades? How much software is needed to drive a speaker?NASA put a man on the moon using less computing power. Your excellent audio engineers must be pissed off that your software team produce such bloated code that it effectively kills off their work. It’s a cynical business model that embraces redundancy to drive repeat revenue, locking your c
The issue hasn't been resolved, why have you tried to close the discussion? Hello,Sonos had a refurb sale and I missed it. I noticed that this sonos official account on ebay still has the deal going - https://www.ebay.com/str/sonosofficial?norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=&targetid=&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9009669&poi=&campaignid=20389321416&mkgroupid=&rlsatarget=&abcId=9317280&merchantid=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2a6wBhCVARIsABPeH1tE29tRUaIgtQVrHzjyLtx8XiINWpNMnzOsqvfcHMISqKINl2wYO-4aAlf4EALw_wcBCan anyone confirm if this is actually the official sonos reseller account on ebay? A lot of the negative reviews mentioned products not shipping and questioning if this is actually the official sonos company on ebay. *** Updated for clarificationWould prefer to buy from legitimate source to ensure I get a proper warranty. Thanks in advance.
My five speaker fell off the shelf and the case is cracked, can I get it repaired?

About 5 years ago this topic was dealt with (see below), but excuse my inexperience, I don’t quite understand the answer shown ie I cannot see where I have to make the change. Take pity on me, I am an S1 user. How and where on my S1 app to do I go? Many thanks. Is there a way to add all my songs on my iphone to the queue in one step? Browse to "on this phone" then a play all. Same question for the PC controller. I find it very frustrating to have to build a playlist.iconBest answer by jgatieBrowse to the library either On This Phone or My Music Lubrary, choose Songs, choose Play All or Shuffle All.
Can u se where my Play 5 is . ? If it be connected again!!?
What is the purpose of Bridge if it prevents updates from downloading and installing on Sonos products. The support site recommends permanently disconnecting the Bridge
Hello!A thing that might help out a number of people with larger or more complex setups to correctly and automatically group their Sonos gear logically together from an IP Addressing perspective, and possibly assigning specialized options as well, would be a very minor tweak to the DHCP Client on the Sonos appliances.Simply populate DHCP Option 60 (for IPv4, and Option 16 for IPv6), with text that starts with “Sonos”.Many DHCP servers have the capability to change their behavior for IP and option assignment based on values off of those values.Thank you for your consideration!
Hi,would be nice to have, as at least one manufacturer has, the possibility to add individual radio streaming links. Not bonded to any radio platform. Just one link for streaming and another one for the station logo.
Sonos no longer supports my smart phone software requiring me to get a new phone. Not very sustainable!
I have been using Sonos for many years, and have been very pleased with it.i recently decided to extend my (gen 1) system, and bought some Sonos items on EBay. It occurred to me today that I have introduced hardware into my network and how do I know if the firmware has been hacked (if that is even possible)? Is there any way to check the firmware, or any diagnostics I can run?Sorry if this sounds paranoid but there are so many scams around these days.
we bought a house that has Sonos one and our modem died so we put in a new one and now Sonos does not work. I went to troubleshooting and it says I should change the Wi-Fi but I can’t find out how? We plugged everything back the way it was and it still doesn’t work! We live in New Jersey! Any ideas as to where I can get help?
This return page doens’t work, always fails (I removed email and order number just for this screenshot).Could you please fix it?
Hi,Does anybody know what happened to the Sonos Certified Refurbished page for the Irish market? I’ve been able to access it on the American and UK store, but when I try to reach it from the Irish store page I get a 404.https://www.sonos.com/en-ie/shop/certified-refurbished The link in the footer also seems to not work.-S
Hellodoes anyone have a fix for sonos connection to Vodafone router?I’ve tried everything and have been told sonos cannot connect to Vodafone so I have to have it wiredany suggestions oleasecheersjon
Thought this was funny..a Sonos advertisement in between two update complaints on fb.
Can any one please help with connectivity issues,I’ve recently changed to Jurassic Fibre and i now have issues on a daily basis with my play 5 Sonos 1 and move , every morning I have to unplug all 3 and reconnect , this can sometimes take an hour or more as it can’t find my system , I also get the following notification pop up ……….Some Sonos products are using the WiFi from a range extender device. If you include one of these in a room group, you won't be able to play music in that group. To ensure playback in all grouped rooms, you'll need to permanently wire a Sonos product to your router. …………….It’s very random aswell , it worked this morning , but this afternoon my move is not playing even though it shows as playing on my app . Do I need to factory reset ? If so I’m guessing I’ll lose all my music / play lists ? Any advice would be much appreciated
Can anyone tell me if installing the Sonos Arc Soundbar above a linear gas fireplace on a mantel if you’ve had any heat issues? We are building and would like feedback. We are planning on recessing a Sony Bravia 65” TV and allowing 2” of space around it for ventilation. Then, putting a non-combustible mantel below to set the Sony Arc Soundbar on which is a 12” area including the shelf height. The distance from bottom of mantel to fireplace would be about another 7 ½“. The total distance overall we have to work with is 19” from bottom of TV to the top of linear gas fireplace which we are hoping a noncombustible mantel can be placed for the soundbar and be safe from heat issue. Would like feedback from anyone whe has done something similar. Thanks!
Recently purchased a pair of Era 300s using a 15% upgrade code. Three days later I got an notification of a campaign to double the upgrade discount.. naturally I felt a bit unlucky about missing out on that, as those 300's aren't exactly cheap!Sent a quick web note to Sonos, who responded with an immediate offer to refund the additional 15% - which was carried out promptly to my very great satisfaction.I found this gesture to be remarkably decent and I think it's fantastic that you empower your employees to resolve these things so quickly. Well done.Sincere thanks. Ps the speakers are excellent, they add much more control and clarity then my old Play1s, and their range and authority make them a better match with the Arc. My movie and music listening has been given a nice upgrade.
Who’s gonna go first? 😬 Let me know how it goes. Release notes Roam will now automatically switch to the best available access point when connected to a WiFi network with multiple access points. Bug fixes and performance enhancements.https://support.sonos.com/en-ca/article/release-notes-for-sonos-s2
I just received a replacement Roam portable speaker after the originally-purchased unit failed and would not accept a charge. I would like to enter the new device’s serial number in my account, but I cannot find a way to do so once logged into my account on the website. Can anyone help?ThanksAa
Today is not a good day. What I really want to do is reset EVERYTHING and start again. Others have asked the same question and yet nobody has so far answered it, suggesting it’s not necessary. Well, maybe this time it is.I have 5 speakers set up as 5 zones. They all run Sonos 2 software. I use an iPhone6 which my Sonos App no longer supports. I therefore need to move to Sonos 1 software. To move to Sonos 1 software I have to use the Sonos 2 App to downgrade each speaker (apparently). However, one of my speakers is not connected and when I try to connect it in the Sonos 2 App it first checks for an App update and then (because my phone is no longer supported) it can’t do it. And that’s as far as I get.So ... I would like to make my day a little better and take me entire Sonos network back to the beginning and start again. Is it really that hard for someone to tell me how to do that?Sorry for sounding ungrateful, but it really is a bad day and I miss my tunes.
I have two Nest Wifi Pro mesh networks in different houses. In one, Sonos works fine.In the other, most Sonos work, but one Sub and two Ones haven’t been able to connect to the network for months, even after many factory resets and other debugging steps with technical support. (They used to, not sure what changed.)On this mesh network, some of the points sometimes drop off the mesh as well, which can be resolved by factory resetting them and adding them back to the network. So I’m pretty sure Nest Wifi Pro sucks, unlike the old Google Wifi which had been rock solid for me.I’m thinking of replacing the Nest Wifi Pro mesh with a different brand to see if that resolves the issues. Any recommendations? I’ve read reviews, but they usually don’t cover what percentage of homes with that mesh system work with Sonos. And forums are full of complaints about essentially every mesh system when combined with Sonos.
