I have money left on a Sonos gift card that I wanted to apply towards a purchase with the remaining amount paid on a credit card. I could not process the order and the website said to contact a sales associate. The associate informed me that Sonos cannot combine payments which means that I am limited to using the gift card on products that cost less than the available balance on the card. So, anyone who has a Sonos gift card that is less than any product they sell effectively loses the entire value of the card because they cannot combine it with another form of payment. How is this even possible?
Sonos support has gone way down hill, I’m about to throw away $3500 worth of speakers in the trash:Sirrius XM no longer plays, constantly dropsSpeakers randomly drop for no reason and I have to add back in as new devicesSonos Playlist just disappear and I have to recreate or add backGet your * together Sonos, enough is enough. Just close up shop already.Support says my system is old and I just need to replace everything, I think I will replace everything but without Sonos. Either Home Pod or Denon. Denon looking really promising. Audio quality on Apple not great.I will be making an X video of me smashing $3500 worth of Sonos speakers.Stay tuned, oh wait if you are Sonos you can’t stay tuned-in as connections just drop out.*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Since S2 exists if problems with the app on all of my devices iphone 10 - 12 iPad Air it takes long before the app has started up it takes long before I can see the content (grey) of my home. many times I can not move the volume slider so I need to kill and restart the app.this all is very frustrating. pls help.
My current WiFi router is several years old but was powerful when I got it, and I’m wondering if a new router might actually make my Sonos less stable. The old/existing router is graded like this: 2.4 GHz 800 Mbps, 5GHz: 1,733Mbps. Since Sonos speakers use 2.4, will updating to this router make my Sonos less stable? The router I’m thinking of buying is graded as: 6 GHz: 2402 Mbps, 5 GHz: 2402 Mbps, 2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps? The old one offers: a/b/g/n/ac and the new one: ax/n/b/g + ax/ac/n/a (+ax 6 GHz).Why upgrade? The old router is perhaps five or six years old, and designed for Asia and Europe, not the USA. Its 5.G channels are 36-48 only, not channels like 165 and 136 that are best in my apartment. I have had constant channel interference issues with my 7 Sonos speakers, where they often disconnect from each other. I have changed channels on my router between 1,6,11 on 2.4 GHz and tried wired to router and not wired. Thoughts welcome thank you.
Want me wife added to account so her phone can play Spotify lists when I’m not home
I wrote this message to the CEO and after two weeks NO response at all !!At least an apology !First let me mention that I have in My Home an extensive Sonos system in almost every room.About three Weeks ago I noticed that you had a sale on the “ Arc “ for $ 719 ( Super Bowl Sale ) but unfortunately when I went to buy it the sale was over.I called the sales dept. and ask them if they can extend the sale so I can purchase it but I wanted to use My AMEX Rewards points so I will need to get a gift card and convert the points, because once the points are redeemed for a gift card they cannot go back . They say that was OK and especially asked that Sonos can accept an AMEX gift card and they said emphatically YES and received an Email stating our conversation.Knowing how sometimes the answers We get are not right , I called again twice to make sure if I transfer points from AMEX and get a gift card I can use it to purchase the “ Arc “, I got an Email stating that The Sonos rep will wait unti
HiYou may believe that music sent to Sonos via Apple Airplay 2 (AP2) has better fidelity than being sent via Bluetooth (BT). In truth you are right…but how do you know?Is your opinion based upon actual listening experience, published technical limitations of BT vs AP2 or just what you’ve heard by word of mouth? Until recently there was no way to make that determination using a dedicated Sonos indoor speaker; as Sonos didn’t offer an indoor speaker that supported BT.Sonos after years of resistance (or maybe just waiting for technology to better itself) has finally placed BT capability in its indoor speakers the Era 300 and Era 100 series. Those speakers use the BT 5.0 codec. You might ask why not BT 5.1, 5.2 or the latest 5.3? The short answer is that BT codecs above 5.0 at present are “speed bump” improvements for distance, pinpoint location accuracy and/or better battery life to name a few. The actual audio/fidelity of the music heard over BT does not improve (at least not at present)
I have old generation 1 equipment operating on S1 app (playbar, subwoofer, 2 connect amps, play 1 and play 5. One of the connect amps powers 2 passive speakers. I plan to get new arc for TV upgrade so I think I will need to get 2 amps to achieve system compatibility with S2 app. My question is will old sub , play 1 and play 5 work effectively on S2 app or do I need to replace those speakers as well. Finally will upgrading old subwoofer enhance overall sound. all sugesstions are welcomed.
many, many times trying to get through. Most recent today. on joining i was told 20 minute wait - really? - now at 29’34’’ and beginning to lose the will to live. regret buying the product when you have such lousy support.
I am getting the message of [ “Unable to play “Sonos radio” access denied ] this morning. I saw this was an issue a few years ago and it fixed itself. Is anyone else experiencing this right now? Does anyone know how ling it takes before it is back to normal?
I have recently have had someone play music from my sonos in the middle of the night. Everyone was asleep so it wasn’t anyone in the house. Can someone that doesn’t have the app somehow access my sonos speaker through AirPlay? If so, how do I prevent this from happening.
Upon validating on ID.me, the US/CAN Military discount is noted as 25%, but upon checking out, the total 25% discount isn’t reflected.
Since i is both legacy and current models in my home, I use the S1 controller app. Lately, however, I've been encountering some issues with my Sonos system, and I wonder if this has to do with using S1. The issues I encounter are:1. Play 5 gen 1 units can no longer access my NAS Music Library. But, if I play my library through, say a One or Move, then group the Play 5 units with it afterwards, then okay it works. 2. Date and Time settings can not be set anymore. Even after checking "Select Time from Internet", this setting is not saved. Consequently, Alarm settings don't work. 3. When playing a song from my NAS Music Library, the subsequent song plays but continues to show the previous title, album cover. To show details of the current song that's playing, I have to close the app and reopen.I wonder if support for S1 is no longer 100% to slowly push users towards ditching their legacy units and replace them with new models?
HiQuick question if I may? I recently bought a wall mounted jukebox and connected through my sonos set up (2 play 1’s, sonos sub and sonos beam) via a sonos port using speaker out on jukebox. The jukebox is basically a rebuilt windows touch screen pc. The jukebox has a Karaoke function and I wanted to know how I could introduce wireless mics to the system also if any ideas please? Someone suggested using a splitter on the port but I fear this would blow the port phono in as the wireless mic phono receiver is battery powered. Thanks in advance
My order was filled on Feb 29th, 2024 and the status moved to “allocated” immediately. 2 Era 300 speakers however were backordered and were expected ship from March 3rd, 2024. Ironically the Era speakers were shipped ahead of the other products (Sub, Arc and 2 Era 300 stands) on March 2nd, 2024. How is backorder tracked and tagged? What do these allocated statuses mean? Would it stay in this status until their inventory has these products to ship? Would the approximate ship date change in the process? Right now clueless as to how this whole thing is unravelling as I am eagerly waiting for my home theatre set
Before I pull the trigger on this idea, I think I should perform due diligence first. Why?Back in December 2022, I picked up what I thought was a Sonos Beem (Gen 2) from Amazon and later a Gen 3 sub for use on the Living room TV and Blu-ray in my apartment. When the Beam was automatically registered as part of my system, however, it reads as a Beam (Gen 1) in the Apps and on the website to this day.I recently needed to check something via the website about my system and found the Sonos beam was eligible for upgrade via the upgrade program. I understand there is a discount toward a beam gen-2 for example. This leads to my Question: as I understand it; I can keep my current Beam (gen 1) and get a true Bean (gen 2) at the upgrade price, correct? Why? I have a failing soundbar in the bedroom (not a Sonos soundbar) so I could use the Beam (Gen 1) to replace it.
I have spent my entire day trying to use my 6 month interest free pay pal credit account and the order keeps being rejected even though it’s approved by Pay Pal Credit. I have not received any reasonable answer from Sonos and the customer service team has provided no response to why this order has not been processed. I am paying in full in the amount of $1750 and fully approved yet the system has rejected my payment 6 times. Has anyone ever tried this and does anyone have a solution. Thank You Frustrated 😩
Hello To All of You👋 I’m just wondering….what Sonos/Ikea collab YOU are most happy with(and perhaps why),and what product from Sonos/Ikea collab do YOU use the most? For me the product that i’m most impressed with is the Playbase. Such an nice sound and the shape makes it blend in my interiour. But right now i will say the Roam is the product i use the most during a day in my life….play radio from my bedside table. On the other end of the scale….the Play:1. It’s not a sound i was comfy with, and i passed it on. Of the products i own right now it will be the Beam Gen2. I feel it is kinda shy in the sound. The product i least use i will probobly say the Fives, but that is more of an placement-issue than a use-issue. They are in my home cinema room rather in my bedroom where i normally use the Era 100 for music. Have a Nice Day☀️
I updated Sonos just prior to 2/9/24. About a day later when I had time to listen to music, I noticed many of the songs would not complete before jumping to the next song in the queue. In addition, I could not select the speakers I wanted to use. I contacted support, they did diagnostics, promised an email, I made several follow-up calls to support and they kept promising a resolution would be sent by email. I have contacted them 5 times since 2/9/24 and to date I have received no resolution. I have rebooted the entire system and updated my music library too many times to count. What do I do when Sonos will not give me the promised resolution to this problem? I have 7 speakers in total.
3 days ago, I logged into Sonos.com and could see all of my system listed.2 OneSLs - eligible for upgrade1 Beam - eligible for upgrade1 Roam1 ArcSL1 BoostToday, I only saw the Roam (which isn’t plugged in or working and being replaced under warranty) and the Boost. I used Customer Support chat to ask why I no longer could view these products. What followed was nearly 4 HOURS, 2 support people via chat and 1 phone call. The chat support had me factory reset my Arc and it snowballed from there. So many hours later, my system works again.. HOWEVER, I still cant see the devices in my “system” on the website or app. I wanted to take advantage of the 30% upgrade. Though seriously questioning why I want to give Sonos any money at this point.Phone Customer Support said Sonos Sales had to fix the System issue. I feel like I am chasing my tail. Anyone had anything similar? What was the cause? The fix?
I just took advantage of the upgrade program but I am wondering what to do with the old products: does Sonos offer a recycling process?
I am trying to upgrade my Beam soundbar but I can’t work out where to activate the credit. The Sonos page says to sign in and go to the upgrade page but I can’t find it.
I have 4x One SL’s , a gen 2 Beam & a Roam , all of which need / are running on S2 . . . I have just bought for the garage a 2nd hand gen 1 Play 5 which needs S1 . . . I have had no joy setting up a split system . Any suggestion ?
I have been trying to place an order for 1 month now, yes one month I have called, emailed, tried online and tried again, opened 2 cases, tried and tried again the order vanishes in the system. My upgrade coupons for 30% have vanished. the response from sonos - and i quote my email directly “At this point we would suggest purchasing through our store locators Store Locator (sonos.com) since the transaction is being rejected by the system and we cannot make it go through. “ wow - awesome resolution after 1 month - thanks 10 thumbs down
I remember it used to. Is there a legal reason for this limitation? And Will it in future?
