I am looking to buy the Sonos vinyl record player.  I would like my record player on one side of the room and the speaker on the other side.  I do not want to have to run wires through the room i.e. under the carpet.  Is there a Sonos option to wireless ly transmit the record player to a Sonos speaker?

I have Sonos arc at the family room with its wifi password. In addition I have two Sonos Roam in bedroom with different wifi router and password. My question:If I started listening with the arc in the family room, and I want to continue liststening to the same music, how can I do it with different wifi?thxM.

Long time fan, first time poster. (And I know it says Bean, not Beam, above. Why can you edit the post and not the question?!) Two (2) Samsung QN85A TVs - one connected to an Arc and another to a Beam (Gen 2). Stream apps through AppleTV 4K (Gen 1), connected using eARC w/ HDMI 2.1 cables.  When using the above with the DIRECTV Stream app, often, very often, there will be no sound when turning everything on, or changing a channel. If I flip around a bit, it eventually corrects itself, but something isn’t right. It should all just work. And it does, albeit insanely inconsistently. See others having similar issues. Any ideas? (Need DIRECTV Stream for to follow my regional sports teams, otherwise I’d dump it.) 

I’ve got a brand new surround system consisting of the Arc, Sub 3, and two One SL for rears.  I’m using an LG C1 OLED and a Sony UBP-X800M2 blu ray player.I have the blu ray player set to PCM for audio, downmix is set to surround and but rate is set to 192.  On the TV I have the HMDI audio set to PCM and eARC is enabled.I am running hdmi from player to the tv, from TV to soundbar.When i fire up Interstellar which has a DTS soundtrack I’m only getting Stereo PCM displayed.  I understand that the Arc has limited DTS support, but shouldn’t I be getting multichannel PCM feed into the Adonis?Do I have something set up incorrectly?

Hey all - hoping for some help..I have a sonos beam 2 hooked up to the tv, and the back of this same room I have a sonos 5 plugged into my record player. They are set up as seperate rooms.what I am wanting to do is get a PAIR of sonos ones.. I will then put them in the back of the room toeard the corners. I will create a pair and set it up as a home theatre to my soundbar (I am confident this will work) what I then want to have is the option to play music from my sonos 5 which is laid down on its side (which apparently makes it stereo although no obvious stereo effect obviously !) - and have stereo music coming from the paired ONES.  I hope that makes sense.. in my head I know what I mean, keen for your thoughts ! thanks 

I can not find nor is there a single tradition Power Button on my Sonos Roam. Can’t find any help here either. Back to Best Buy for a Bose. Too Bad!

I have spent hours reading all the different questions/answers on this forum regarding this topic but none have corrected my issue. So I thought if I gave some specifics of my setup, there might be a breakthrough! TV is a Samsung Class 8 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV (Model: UN82RU8000FXZA)It does not have eARC but does have ARC which is connected to the Sonos Arc via high speed HDMI. The audio settings on the TV are set to Dolby Digital + and the ‘Enable Dolby Atmos’ button is on. According to the TV menu, this is how the settings should be if I want to receive Atmos. I’ve tried Disney Plus and Amazon Prime movies that show they are broadcast in Atmos but the most I can ever get to how on my Sonos App is that they are playing in Dolby Digital + and I’ve never been able to get the ATMOS logo to appear. I’ve tried numerous movies and shows to be sure. Any thoughts? i purchased the Arc specifically for Atmos and now am disappointed. 

Hello:  While my sound bar usually works great with my older Samsung TV using the optical out cable, it recently stopped working with my TV.  It does however work with my Sonos app when playing my steaming services, just not on TV.  When I try to deploy “TV” sound from the Sonos app now, nothing in the sound realm changes on my TV and I am stuck using my tv standard sound.  When I go into my TV settings to choose “Optical output” or “Optical sound” it is not an option now as this menu item is greyed out and I cannot access it.  I can also not do a “reset” sound because I do not have a tv remote and am using the TV navigation on the side of the screen and it won’t allow me to access the “reset sound” selection using the manual navigation.   Any thoughts or tips on how to get it working once again?  Thanks!

Hello everyone,thanks for reading the post.I need your help and opinion for our new setup. I am setting up the TV (LG G1 55) and an audio system. I would like to mount a sonos system and add two B&O beolab 8000 speakers. I would like to use all sonos + B&O speakers both for watching TV and listening to music.An initial idea of the setup that I think could work is as follows: Assumptions:- The sonos elements on the TV side will be connected via RJ45 network cable, the rear ones via WLAN.There are points that are not clear to me:In TV mode, can I have problems with sound delay? The sonos Port will automatically turn on the beolab 8000? or will I need to turn them on with a remote control? Will the sonos Port automatically regulate the volume of the beolab 8000? Wich cables I would need? There are specific Almando preamplifiers for B&O that are usually connected to the Sonos Port, do you recommend to use one? or you don't see it necessary?Do you think the setup is correct? do

So Sonos crew, i wonder if you can help?First problem, I have 2 sonos one that i have made a stereo pair, the problem i have is that if i talk to my right speaker, and ask it to play music via spotify, Alexa advises that the device is off line. If i give the request to left speaker, the instruction is followed out, but sometimes with a problem.That problem is that even though Alexa says she has understood what i have said, no music plays. However if i say “Alexa, Pause” and then “Alexa Resume” i then get the music.Any one have any ideas? Cheers Neil 

As the title says. My alarm is turned on, but, isn’t playing. Also, I set the sleep timer, and it doesn’t turn off. Music plays just fine otherwise.

I want to add some outdoor speakers to my system ideally 4 in 2x separate areas. If i purchase a Sonos AMP 1 will that work just the same as the new version - thinking it’ll save me a fair few quid.  thanks

It’s random, happens 2-3 days a wek, but the addition of a Beam 2 seems to have created this issue.Hisense U7GBeam 2Apple TV 4KBefore the Beam it never happened.Any ideas? 

Within the last 2 weeks I have bumped into a very frustrating issue. I use Plex to access my stored music on my home media server. It is all ripped as Apple Lossless (M4A). I can login to my collection via the Sonos / Plex service, see all music artists, etc. However, when I attempt to play a song, nothing happens and I eventually see a message: "Unable to play "[SONG TITLE]" - unable to connect to Plex"I have tried to following steps:Reboot modem and switch. Logout and reauthorize Plex service Double checked all setting in Plex server and confirmed Remote AccessYet, I am still unable to play any music.HOWEVER, if I use Plexamp (or the Plex app) and then select one of my Sonos speakers to play, it does work.I have called Sonos support twice, and first-level support is unable to offer any fixes other than the steps already followed. I am also being told that I will receive and email to coordinate a second-level support call, but the email never comes.Any help or ideas to solve are MOST

Hi all and apologies if this has been raised previously.I have recently purchased a fabulous LG C1 tv and the picture is amazing.I have also had some work done mounting it on the wall and the electrician has provided two hidden hdmi leads in the wall. Devastatingly there isn't an optical cable buried in the wall which now would leave me with it visibly attached to my playbase. my question is, Is there a connector that will convert optical to hdmi then I can use existing cables?I can see the sonos converter cable won't work with the playbase.I also have a sky q box but Netflix and Amazon prime are far superior on the tv so ideally would want the sound coming directly from the tv than just the sky q box.hopes this makes sense and any thoughts appreciated Wayne

A year or so ago I got my system setup to work, eventually….then moved, so ended up with a new router. Now I can’t get it to work no matter what I’ve tried (router settings, restarting Plex, etc). Plex is running on the My Cloud NAS, and everything works great from Sonos, I can see My Cloud as a source, play from there, etc. I can see both the HD and the Sonos speakers in my Network Folder on my laptop and they all have the same subnet. But not matter what I do I can NOT get the Plex server to ‘see’ any Sonos speakers when I try to Cast using the Players icon at the top (this part used to work).I feel like this must be a gateway thing, but it seems set up right, UDP is enable, it doesn’t appear to be NAT issue.Any ideas? I am also posting in Plex, but thought someone here might know something.Thanks.

I have a fourteen zone SONOS S2 system connected to a Xfinity XB7 Modem that has the Xfinity Generation 2 Pods connected. The Xfinity XB7 modem has the Wi-Fi selection set to automatic and it appears to be using channel 6, which is the same channel that the SONOS system is on. I have eleven SONOS components connected to TP-LINK managed switches that have been configured for RSTP / STP.The system can play music from my SYNOLOGY DS1821+ NAS which is running the DSM 7.x operating system. I have a SONOS specific account, and all music has been ripped in the FLAC format. The SONOS S2 system is using SMB3. On various iPhones (8 and 8 Plus) and an iPad Air whenever we open the SONOS app the SONOS playlist may not be visible. If I force close the app a couple of times the Playlist will reappear. This will last for a short period of time and then it will disappear again. When streaming music playing through Sonos randomly it plays a very loud static noise. It does this randomly about every 5 minutes or so. Static only last a second. It over takes the music and comes through all my sonos speakers. I have a playbar, sub, and two play 3’s grouped in the same room, and a play 1 group in another room. I have the playbar connected by Ethernet cable to the modem. Every other speaker is on WiFi. They have good connection with the router as they’re no more then 20’ on the same floor from router.Anyone know the cause of this and how to fix it?

I have a long playlist (3,295 songs) that won’t load completely on my PC where my music collection is stored.  It loads ~ 3,149 each time I try, almost to the exact # of 3,149 each time.  When I try to load this playlist via my iPhone, I get an error message “Unable to browse music.”  I can load other smaller playlists via my phone and completely via my computer, so the issue must be with the number of songs.  I found on the Sonos website that the official Sonos limit is 40,000 songs on all playlists, which is what Sonos will sort.  The total songs I have on my iPhone and computer via playlists on Sonos is about 5,000, so I'm nowhere near this threshold. So what’s the problem here?

Xfinity/Comcast installed a new router. Everything is working fine except Sonos. I did not change any settings. I have the little white Sonos box and it is plugged into the router. I can see that Sonos is connected to my wi-fi network. I am running Sonos 2.I am able to play songs through Sirius but when I try to play a playlist from my Music Library (organized in itunes), it says server not found and it cannot see my computer. I know that the computer name is correct.What’s wrong?Thanks for any help you can give me.

My Symfonisk seams to playing music a split second faster than my Sonos One, this cause the music to be out of sync. does anyone know a fix?
