I have an arc and have just purchased 2 Sonos one SL's to try and create a surround system. Initially,  all went well, everything was connected and working fine. I then became aware there was no sound coming out of the ones and they had  a flashing green light. I factory reset them,  re-added them to Sonos added them as surround speakers and they instantly flash green as soon as they are set up. I have totally factory reset the entire system and yet as soon as they become surround speakers they flash green. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

It is great that the more knowledgeable members here are so generous with their time. Thank you very much in advance. I live in two different cities. During the work week I am in one city, and weekends in another. Currently my Sonos system is setup in my weekend location (I’m not well off, it sounds better than it is, believe me). I have an Arc, Sub 3 and a pair of Moves. I simply want to take the pair of Moves with me to the home I live at during the work week. I do not need to take the Arc and Sub, just the Moves would be fine. Is it as simple as going to the work week location, turning on the App, it won’t find a network that it knows, and then using the Add a Trusted Network function? I would guess if that is the case then you just add the Moves as products one at a time and recreate the pair?  If so, when I return on the weeke

I have a Sonos Five, Beam, and Symfonisk satellites in my living room. The Five is purely there to connect my turntable, so I do not want it to play when the TV is being used. Is there a way to accomplish this without having to manually toggle speakers every time we switch from the turntable to the TV?

simply trying to upgrade to the S2 controller and it keeps giving me the screen “Sonos Found on My WiFi Network” with the options of opening the S1 Controller or More Options. Their is no button on the more options tab to Forget my existing network so i end up in a loop with the new app directing me to the existing S1 App. All existing devices on the existing network are S2 compliant. Funny this is it has a button on the options to downgrade products to S1 but nothing to upgrade to S2Do i need to uninstall the S1 APP and start fresh? Sonos should make this a simpler upgrade for sure as some even say you can have a S1 and S2 network co-exist but i don't know how that would work when the new controller always looks and points to the existing S1.Just need some ideas how i can deactivate or upgrade the S1 to the S2 or should I just kill the S1 and start fresh.Although I'm not a tech nerd I am very analytical and can figure things out pretty good. Hello everyone, I’m building a home system that would integrate my TV and turntable, as well allow for streaming. I’d also like it to work over WiFi and be expandable (i.e. with a future multiroom setup), so I’m looking at the Sonos Amp. The idea is to run hook up both my TV and turntable, to just 1 amp (using the available line-in and HDMI ports) and my existing pair of bookshelf speakers, but I can’t seem to find anywhere how it does input switching. Can it detect when I’m playing a record or turning on my TV? Or do I set it up for 1 thing only and then have to go through endless menus every time you want to change my audio source?Also, can I then add wireless Sonos speakers to this setup without adding more Sonos Amps?Thanks for any advice on this!

I use my Sonos Amp in my home office from my Mac via AirPlay. This morning, I tried to play some music, and it’s not connecting. It shows up in the AirPlay menu in the Music app, but can’t connect. I can stream via AirPlay from my iPhone with no problem. I recently installed a new mesh wifi system, but that’s the only thing that’s changed in my setup. Any idea what could be going wrong or how to diagnose this?

Just upgraded to Virgin super hub which is working fine, good speed and better coverage in the house. I have managed to get my beam and sub working on new network but not my surrounds, One SLs. I have tried everything suggested, factory reset, rebooted router etc. they appear to be on network but Sonos app cannot link them to my system.  help! 

I know that the soundbar’s main purpose is “speaker” for TV. Still, I feel that in 2022 it would be normal for a device that can connect to LANs (both wired and wirelessly) to be able to work in more diverse situations than a simple TV - Beam connection.I also feel that  implementing  more features or allowing for more connections would be simple (and not costly) tasks - adding a new port and even updating softwareI’ll start with what I have (in terms of devices setup), what I want to achieve and what I can’t do (or don’t know how to do it). I have a PC connected (via a RTX 3080) to two monitors and one LG C1 TV (via HDMI). Hi,I have what appears to be the same problem as a number of other people in that using TuneIn stations as alarm doesn't work reliably.I have three identical Play:1 speakers that are used as alarm clocks, "tuned" to the same (very reliable) radio station. One works perfectly, one falls through to the alarm chime about once every other week and one does it about every other day. When that happens I can always stop the chime and manually start the radio station right away without problems.Playing music is otherwise always rock solid on all three speakers, whether it's the same radio station as the one used for alarms, other radio stations, Spotify or my local music library. I never experience problems starting music manually and I can also reliably use a playlist as alarm music - only TuneIn causes problems.The three speakers are set for different alarm times and the problem seems to be independent of the alarm time. I successfully used an Ethernet cabled Sonos Playbar, two Play 3s, two Play 1s, one PortWith a Virgin Media Hub4, smart TV Sony. The Playbar and Play 3s were joined as theatre set-up and the Play 1s are in separate, smaller rooms, as is the Port with a record deck. All played without problems using the Sonos app of course.T original Hub4 developed a fault and was  replaced with new Hub4. Now only one Play 1 and the Play 3s will ‘attach’ to the wifi and  function.It has not been possible to attach the Port, Playbar or one of the Play 1s to the system at all.I have spent a lot of time  trying  all suggestions I can find on the  Sonos official site, Sonos community and in general on the  the internet, including a factory reset of all speakers, to try and link the system back up with my wifi.I understand Sonos is trying to work round ‘issues’ with the Hub4. Any suggestions as to how I can get my Sonos equipment up and running again, it is just a few very expensive bricks at the moment. Is

So I am using the S1 app (v11.5) on my Android (v12) and normally when I’m playing any music from my NAS the Sonos controls will show in both the notification bar and on the lock screen. However, when I switch my music source to Spotify, it immediately disappears from the notification area and also doesn’t show on the lock screen. The only way I can see what is playing or jump to the next song is to re-open the application every time.Likewise, the moment I tap “End Session” to switch back to the playlist, the controls immediately pop back up in the notification area.

I’ve enjoyed the Sonance (White) outdoor speakers for a couple of years using the Sonos amp and never had any issues until recently speaker sounds like it’s crackling, they are mounted to the side of the house and protected in shade the entire time. There’s no need to turn it up loud because our entire house is filled with Sonos. Because it is a Sonos speaker I contacted them directly and we did a complete diagnostic, changed wires etc. then I was told there’s nothing Sonos can do so I have to contact Sonance, The maker of the outdoor Sonos speakers! It’s been awhile now and no reply. I really don’t understand why it would sound like this. I’ve never turned it up all the way. I am very much into sound quality and even tone. Someone please help. I just purchased a Move for my outdoor living area and noticed it required S2 Controller. My Home theatre system currently has a SUB (Gen2), Playbar, and 2 x Sonos One SL. I am using an Bridge and i have a old Connect that I am not using in my new home.  Sonos is offering me trade in credits on the Bridge, Connect and the Playbar (even though the Playbar will still be supported on the S2)2 questions. First, Bridge to Boost upgrade? Yes or no?  I have read the articles about connecting directly to my WiFi versus using the Bridge and creating a Sono separate network.Second, They had recommended that i upgrade the Playbar and are offering the credit, if i upgrade what would be the upgrade?  they have 3 sound bars (Ray - Beam and Arc) my thinking is the Arc would be my upgrade for a home theatre system i have using the Sub and the 2 One SL’s?

I find the Sonos support site most frustrating!!  It seems that every topic is discussed for every Sonos product!  What happened to the old concept of a user nmanual for each product?A simple question - can I control my Amp using Alexa?  I have spent a great deal of time trying to work through “Set up an Amazon Alexa device to control Sonos”, but without any success!!Any ideas?

Hi everyone. I am trying to setup my Symfonisk using the Sonos app. When setting up the app ask me to go to the IOS accessory settings to connect my Symfonisk with my wifi. While I click on the black button I get a window saying ‘searching information about your network’ ‘looking for my network name’. Suddenly I get a list of all the networks in my building, but mine is not on the list. Wich I find very strange because every other device that needs wifi can find my network, even my iPhone which I am using to setup the symfonisk. Does anyone have a solution?

Please help!!I have tried everything to fix my system, including having my AV tech come out and still issues.I currently have 2x beams 2x amps ,a port, a five and a move. We recently had a Linksys AX5300 (Mesh six) router installed sonos worked right for 30 mins then started skipping during music then each room fell out of system during a Sonos update which created a nightmare of being stuck in update on 1 amp and 1 beam which pretty much locked the system.I spend hours on the phone trouble shooting have hard wired the Five to the hub router and finally got all rooms back updated and on the system. (Created SonosNet with help of Sonos Support) after rebooting and resetting everything several times. Alexa worked for 5 mins after getting off the phone. I called back and the support person said the could only see the Five and the Move even though I could see all rooms. Now I can still see my rooms but music will not play I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Hi everyone.  I’m experiencing a random crackle from my outdoor speakers.  I can’t distinguish a patter for when this happens.  I can turn it up to almost max volume and it sounds fine.  It seems to happen after listening to music for an hour or so.  And when it happens, I can typically pause the music for a minute or so, and turn the music back on and it sounds fine.The other articles and forums have mentioned audio interference before.  To remedy this, I hardwired the AMP to my router.  But random crackle still happens.  I wired the speakers using 14 gauge wire.  And the speakers are less than 50 feet from the AMP.  I do have a google nest camera between the two outdoor speakers.  I’m also wondering if the crackle could be due to the speaker wires running too close to electrical currents.  As I’ve routed the speaker wires pretty close to the outlet that my TV and the AMP are plugged into.  Any tips, ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated!Thank you!

I use Apple Music through my Sonos and used it successfully in the past. What has started happening recently is that I select apple music, then get asked to re-authorise the account, which I do and get a message stating setup is complete, when I click on done, the Sonos message states it is unable to browse music, so I click back to the main menu to select Apple music again and repeat the same process with the same result. My phone that I have the app installed on is a Samsung S20 with the Version 14.12 of the Sonos app installed. I have deleted apple music several times from Sonos and re-installed as suggested by Sonos online support team and I use apple music fine on my phone with my Samsung buds but I can’t seem to get Sonos to recognise the apple music account any longer. Has anyone else had this issue recently and does anyone have a solution?
