can I wire 4 bose 791 speakers to amp?

I’ve just purchased an Arc and 2 One SLs to connect to my new Sony Bravia XR55A90J TV. When using the tv as the source, I only get sound from the Arc.  I can’t discern any sound from the Ones. When I play music via Airplay from my iPhone though, the One SLs play too and I get great surround sound. The Arc is connected to the tv via the HDMI eARC port and via Ethernet to Wi-Fi. The Ones show as connected in the Sonos app.I’ve used Trueplay a number of times and have disconnected and reconnected the Ones but nothing changes.

Hello,One of our sonos one box just stopped working. We don’t know why it doens’t work anymore. We saw that the light on top of the box didn’t light up anymore and then we noticed it didn’t works. We bought the box in november 2019 at the BCC store in Veenendaal. We already went to the store but they told us they couldn’t help us because we were past the guarantee period unfortunately. Is there anything sonos can do to see what’s wrong with the box? Kind regards Randy Hulsken & Laura Diepeveen

Can anyone recommend a good HDMI Arc over Ethernet extender?I want to go from the TV to the Sonos Amp via Ethernet and have it work well. It looks like alot of the HDMI extenders don’t support ARC.

Hi,Suddenly Sonos can’t add albums or songs to the queue.See the inserted image.I use Tidal as music service. I have rebooted my router and my Sonos devices. My Sonos devices are connected to the router with an ethernet cable. The Sonos app is updated.I don’t what else to do. Any suggestions? Is the problem to be found with Sonos, Tidal or my network?Thank you in advance.

Morning all,In getting support on another Roam related question, I started to consider wifi strength and possible RJ45 connectivity. There are many devices out there that indicate that they are wifi only but in reality do support a wired connection e.g some Roku boxes, even my treadmill that has essentially an inbuilt android tablet in it.Adding a Ugreen usbc to RJ45 device can often introduce a wired link to replace a wireless one.Does anyone know if that is possible on a Roam unit?Reason to ask is that I’m off to a location that has notoriously poor wifi services but were rooms do have RJ45 ‘s outlets at the desk and room level. It could be a nice insurance policy.Very interested to hear if anyone explored that route. Many thanks

I have noticed if I have music playing in one room of the house and in the middle of the song I group it to another room the audio sometimes only plays out of one of the stereo speakers even if I see it online, once I power cycle the speaker everything is working as expected. I do have multicasting and all the IGMP proxies setup on my router. Could this be because there is a lot of information being transferred at once to the new grouped speakers that the multicasting doesn’t keep up? I don’t seem to notice this when I pause the music and group the speakers to then un-pause the music.

I have a Sonos Arc + Sub Gen 3 + 2 SL One system.  Post updating to 14.18 and retuning Trueplay, the following EQ settings seem to work for me.  It will be good to know the settings that worked for you (to try experimenting!)Bass +3Treble -3TV Level 0Music Level 0Music Playback FULLSub +2Height +4Loudness ONTrueplay ONNight Sound OFFSpeech Enhancement OFF

Googled everywhere and can’t seem to find a definitive answer:I run a projector with input from a laptop thus my audio output options are 3.5mm jack and/or RCA output. If I picked up an old ZP90 could I run the audio wired to the ZP90 and then from the ZP90 wireless to my Sonos Speakers and would this work without the sound delay to the video coming through the projector?A Sonos Beam just doesn’t go well with a 110” projected image on a blank wall whereas Vertical mounted 5s or 1s either side of the image are perfect.I’ve previously run audio via 3.5mm jacks directly to a single Play 5 (which then wirelessly links up another play5 and Sub) but this is far too much overkill when I could better use some play 1s instead ( but as everyone knows they don’t have any audio wired inputs ).

Why can I no longer use browse on Apple Music? I use to be able to see Top Playlists, Top Albums and etc. I do not want to have to go search each time.

I got a brand new pair of Sonos One SL’s only a month or two ago and have just had an ant colony error out from inside it.  I’ve been in touch with Sonos and they’re denying me a replacement because they say ants aren’t mentioned in the warranty (lol, of course not..why would they be mentioned) and their other excuse is that besides the ants, the postal service won’t ship the speaker back because of the ants (what kind of a bizarre answer is that??) and therefore they won’t honour the speakers warranty. I’m actually quite shocked by the customer service I’ve received.  I’m going to contact the ACCC and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. My wife is also in species discovery and has some friends who happen to specialise in ant identification (pure fluke but amazing) so hopefully I can get the species identified pretty quickly.  I can see I’m not the first person to experience this issue, however Sonos appears to haveclosed the previous conversations down already. Anyo

My playbar will go in and out of connection with the network, staying connected only for about 30 seconds at a time.  Any suggestions given the below? It’s connected via WiFi - 5Ghz with a strong signal in its location If I restart it, it will always reconnect for a good 15-30 seconds and then drop out Device is about 7 years old and issue started 4 weeks ago Hasn’t remained connected for more than a a few minutes in weeks Works totally fine for playing TV sound, but won’t stay grouped with other speakers (as it is dropping off the network) Paired with a Sub There are 8 other sonos speakers in the network and none have this issue Steps I’ve taken:plenty of restarts ensured cables are securely connected using a different power outlet I’ve successfully assigned a static IP from the router (device will connect only with the reserved IP I’ve assigned.

Hello,I’m in the process of getting a new construction home built. I’m wondering if there would be any issues putting Sonos ceiling speakers ~18 inches away from a coffered ceiling similar to the coffered ceiling on the perimeter of the living room below image below? Does that give enough distance to avoid any issues? For context, my home layout is very similar to this open concept with the living room and kitchen / dining being an open space like the image below. Thank you!

Successfully removed my bridge Successfully set up the Sonos system on my TP link mesh  everything was working well on S1 (thanks Airgetlam) Checked compatibility of my Sonos units with S2. All fine. downloaded and installed S2 on my phone followed the instructions including switching off and on each unit and my router App confirmed all good Everything showing as incompatible in S2 - rooms, all of the Sonos units  So nothing works on S2. This is a car crash. What have I done wrong? Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi all.I currently have a Gen 2 Beam with Alexa voice control connected.Am I right in thinking that  for 2 rear speakers, the One SL (pair) are identical in terms of performance, and having already got Alexa via the Beam, there would be no point in spending the extra money that a pair of One's would cost?!?Thanks in advance.. P.s. I plan to add a mini sub at some point after a pair of rear speakers to complete a surround set.

I have Amazon Prime Music on my Sonos App and yesterday when going to play some albums (including those I have purchased) the app no longer displays the tracks on the album. Previously they all listed. If I click the album it will play the album and you can skip to next song etc but you cannot select to play from a list as you could before.I use the SONOS S1 app due to older equipment (Sonos 5’s and amp) and cannot afford to upgrade everything.Anyone else have this issue?

Have an interesting issue, easy setup. Multiple Connects, connected directly to a power amp. No DSP….No processing. When all zones are grouped together a few of the players are out of sync….by a half a second. Causing an echo from room to room. The resolution is to ungroup all the zones and regroup them. This seems to fix the issue for a day or two. To me, its almost like a master timing issue? Anyone else ever seen this?

I have used spotify with sonos for a long time now, but for some reason spotify cant play on all my speakers specifically my two Play 1. When i start a playlist it keeps skipping songs and says “unable to play song, connection lost”. Usually after 3-5 skipped songs it will start playing. Both speakers are wired, and have been working for a long time. I have rebooted the speakers. Re connected spotify to sonos app. Router reboot.Everything else seems to work just fine, all other speakers (Arc, Sub, Play5 and one/sl) are working perfectly.

Just recently whenever I ask Alexa to play one of my playlists it responds that it is playing “<playlist name> and similar songs”.  It then proceeds to play similar songs only and none from my playlist.  Any idea how I can stop this?

I can play pandora, Spotify, Tunein, but cannot play SiriusXM.At one time it worked sporadically but now not at all.”UNABLE TO BROWS MUSIC.”

Moved into new house that came with sonos amps and wired speakers. All amp lights were white. I performed factory reset to add to my sonos system, and mute button flashes green with led off. When I press any button, mute button goes off and led is yellow. Continuously tell me me can’t find device. Can’t find the amp that I did not factory reset either. Any suggestions?

The Sonos app is constantly turning on by itself and running in the background. I can choose the option to stop the app once I see the notification that it's running, but it starts again after a brief period of time. Galaxy S22 & 14.18 is the app version.

Recently there seems to be an issue with the S2 Desktop app.  I have tried to fix it with a Sonos Technician (case# 04350051) but they couldn’t fix it, and suggested I try and escalate it for a more advanced investigation. What seems very odd is there is no way to advance and ‘report an issue’ other than calling Sonos, and after spending over an hour yesterday on Sonos chat, some of us just have the time to sit on a phone. Hence why I’m highlighting the issue here. The issue is (and it’s only an issue with S2 Desktop app), whenever rooms are grouped the volume control and mute controls of the grouped rooms often stop working. The only way to get them working is ‘ungroup’ and the individual rooms then have working volume/mute controls. It’s not an IP issue (Sonos tech checked that) and several diagnostic reports sent to Sonos. It’s only on the S2 Desktop app, and only happens when using grouping.  Could this be looked in to and update fix be released. Thanks

Frustrated as I cannot get a clear answer on whether or not Sonos can work with the Starlink router and/or if there is a work around?  I live in a rural area and Starlink is my only hope but Sonos customer help says Sonos does not support satellite internet.  Any help on a way to make this work would be greatly appreciated.

A little over two weeks ago I took delivery of a new Submini to integrate with my Beam (gen2). Last Friday I started to set up the Submini and immediately had problems. After Inputting my PIN number the SONSO app responded by saying that the PIN I had entered belonged to a different Submini and asked me to check. I double and triple checked both my Serial number and PIN number, which were all being entered correctly. So I tried again many times to be told that my PIN was wrong. So last Friday I emailed SONOS customer service. I heard nothing after 72 hours, so I again emailed SONOS customer services on Tuesday this week and again have heard nothing - not even a “we have received your email and will get back to you in due course.” So I was just trying to see if someone from SONOS could reach out to help? Many thanksKevSkye
