Will I be able to adjust the volume from the remote control of my Humax Aura 4K recorder (SPDIF connection) if I plug the Sonos Ray cable into the Humax instead of plugging the Sonos cable into my Panasonic 4K TV.

So I’ve read a few of these issues, more hopeful I was thinking of However…. my issue might be other devices. So… my Sonos is fine when playing things from Android TV, no issue, however my Virgin V6 Box is another matter… there is definate delay there. Some music artists look better at lip syncing that this thing.My question is, is this a problem with maybe the HDMI cable that connects to the TV from my Virgin box, as in would it make a difference? I do have an XBox one, but it’s wired a bit behind things upstairs so want to move that as a last resort just in case….

Basically every other time I turn on my TV the Beam(Gen 1) will not connect with the TV. I then need to unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and plug it back in for it to connect, or doing the Tv setup in the SONOS app also helps with this issue. If I try to fix it within the app, I also need to do the TV setup two times, the first time it will say there was an error, but when I try again it works. I usually just end up removing the cable and putting it back, since that is much quicker.The annoying thing is it happens basically just every other time I turn on the TV. Both the Beam and the TV are running all the latest updates, this has now been going on for about a year. I have tried resetting the TV but that did not help.I have also noticed that when I turn off the TV, sometimes the LED on the Beam turns green, sometimes it stays white.I'm using the HDMI cable that came with the Beam to connect the TV, but maybe changing the cable could help.TV model: TCL 50P815 Running Android TV

Pretty sharp group here - so I will throw out a novice question. Forgive me if this is TMI. I have a pretty solid home system but will be moving into my girlfriends house. Her place, no sound system - so the A/V is up to me. I have had my Playbase for about six years and love it. I added a Roam SL just before Memorial Day to replace a dead Bluetooth travel speaker. All of the devices are on an isolated Wi-Fi network and are within 15 feet of each other and the router. We have three iOS controllers- fifth gen iPad, iPhone 13 Pro Max and an iPhone 6S.Some days all of the controllers see the Playbase/Roam pair which is nice.Other days not so much. If lucky on those days at least one controller will see the pair while the others only see the Playbase. Start playing music on the working controller and magically after some period of time the others controllers will see the pair. If unlucky, all of the controllers will only see the Playbase and we have to go through the Support/Find Missing Products routine. If very unlucky, a controller will appear to see the pair and actually start playing music, but you cannot adjust the volume and if you even touch the Rooms button the Roam will stop playing and back to the S

I have 2 hard wired non-Sonos speakers that were working fine for almost a year and then one stopped working.  I reset the amp and then the one that wasn't working started to work and the other was silent.  On my app in shows no line-in connected but I checked all of the connections. Any ideas?

Hi  I am about to add 2 sonos 1s as a stereo pair to my living room. In my conservatory I have an existing system of 2 sonos 1s and a sonos sub. How can I configure the living room pair to use the sonos sub in the conservatory, but ensure the sub still works with the conservatory pair? Thanks for any pointers.

My setup: I have and LG tv ( it has eARC) and a appletv and a ARC.I use the remote from the appletv.When i turn on the appeltv it turns on my tv aswell. But lateliy the sonos arc dosnt start the sound ( audio return channel) the sound comes out of my tv insted.i can then mauely aktivate the return channel on my tv and then the sound comes out of my ARC. It have always worked,but for about a week ago it dit not work..I have not made any changes on my setup.I have tryed a power draine.With all the hdmi plugs pulled out of my tv.what am i missing?please help. P.S there have ben no update to my tv,i update the tv mauely.So no changes there.

I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 1) and two Sonos One SLs.I recently hooked up a new WiFi router and have a new network name so I began the task of migrating my Sonos system to the new WiFi. Which I’ve always found to be easier to just factory reset everything and start from scratch because the migration tools are tedious and flat out fail most of the time.Now I cannot get my Beam and One’s to pair for surround. All three devices show up in my System.I set them all to “Living Room” and for starters they all get their own living room. So I have Living Room, Living Room 2, and Living Room 3.Which is weird but whatever. The system prompts me to setup surrounds. When I do so this operation always fails. The failure error is generic and says something along the lines of setup failed make sure all devices are powered on and try again.What I’ve tried so far is…Factory reset all speakers, forget my current system, add my Beam, add my One’s, attempt to setup surrounds. This left me with a Living Room w

When I ask my Arc to play music it plays way too loud and I have to go back and tell it to play at level 3. I have seen older post where it should play at the last know setting but that does not work ie: last setting was at Level 3.  It always plays loud and I have to change the setting. I have looked but do not see a start up setting anyplace. Is there anything that can be done so it starts at a set level? 

Hi all, I have had all of my routers remapped and a new ssid added for sonos only but I can't add it to the app, does anyone have any ideas how I can do it.

ISSUE 1:My Sonos Arc shows up as a TV in the Alexa app. Therefore, I cannot add it as a speaker to a room. Trying to group together two Sonos speakers is my goal, which I had done previously, but all of the sudden I can’t. Music will play on one speaker or the other, but not both. I have recently moved home.I have 4 Play ones and a Sub all linked by a Sonos Bridge all a few years old.They worked fine in my old home.I tried to set them up yesterday after updating but its not finding any of them on the S1 app.I have downloaded S2 app but its nit compatible with a bridge.Will I need to purchase a Sonos Boost.Thanks for any advice.

Thought I’d take my Sonos Roam on holiday.    Didn’t work.  Couldn’t connect to WiFi as the hotel (Radisson), like most, uses open access WiFi so instead of a password, you sign in with room number and family name.   I kinda accepted that, though far from ideal, but I couldn’t even get the Roam to work via Bluetooth.   I had the hotel IT guy try various workarounds for an hour but he had to give up.   Does anyone know a solution for this?   Cheers. 

My main system is a Lyngdorf 1120 based system but For the Dining room i am thinking of getting a Sonos 5.  Is it possible to use it with wireless headphones  

I have had my system for a good year or so now but one day it just stopped working.  I have ask Alexa to tell the weather/ time etc but won’t play any music.  When I go into the app on my phone and try to connect to a device it comes up with this Amazon Music Error.  I feel I have tried everything, unplugging - resetting - logging out of app and back in.  Also now under Music & Content I can’t find Amazon Music?  If I play Sonos Radio through here it will play but my sono will only work through here through my phone not voice??

My amp keeps restarting. It is connected via HDMI Arc and we are watching a show and it restarts so the tv disconnects the. Stops the show then when it reboots it reconnects and stops the show again. It also has stopped while the some knife talk is at about 1:20-1:30 and restarts every time.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Amp is under 1 year old.diagnostic number 377583551

Hi all, I just purchased a Sony Bravia xr-65x90ck and I’m unable to get it working with my Playbase. I’m using an audio optical cable to connect the two, and the cable light is red, so the connection isn’t the issue. I’ve seen older threads from users with similar issues, but nothing newer that references the most current televisions. Does anyone know the correct settings for the television/playbase?Also, we use any Apple TV for all streaming etc. We also have a Nintendo Switch on a separate HDMI port. No sound on the Playbase from either one.

Hi all,I bought an Arc + Sub Gen 3 bundle last week. Unfortunately since I’ve started using it, the standby noise from the Sub has been unbearable; I know there’s normally a slight hum/whine with almost all electronics, but this is loud to the point that it’s distracting me from the other side of a quiet 8m room. I have to switch it off or physically unplug it each time I stop using it for a while, which is… not a great user experience.I’ve tried factory resetting, disconnecting from the Arc, using different wall sockets, swapping the power cables between the Arc and Sub, everything I can think of. I used to get lock screen controls on my iphone to control the sonos system. Now they are gone. Not sure exactly when they disappeared, as I’ve updated both Sonos and IOS devices numerous times. A super convenient feature, which I’m really missing. I can see this issue has cropped up before, and the solution was to delete non-sonos airplay devices from the ios device. To me, this isn’t a solution. I would like to cast my phone audio to other devices. This WAS working. I can’t get a concise explanation as to why Airplay and Sonos aren’t working well together! Anyone know how to get this working?

I have a Beam gen 2 that I want to add my 2 ones ( that are are on s1 app) for surrounds just for a Saturday night movie to s2 and then return the ones to s1 app. Is there an easy way to do this?
