Working with a large system consisting of 16 x Sonos Ports feeding a Symetrix Audio System with automatic signal sensing, whereby the Symetrix switches over to Sonos when it detects a signal coming out of the phono output. Has worked perfectly fine for the last 18 months then started playing up around the end of September.Managed to properly troubleshoot today and worked out that the Sonos is outputting a momentary signal exactly two minutes after the Port is paused/stopped but I’m also suspicious that it’s sending out this same signal at other random times as the client has reported the Symetrix switching sporadically for the last 5 weeks. Have a feeling this is down to the Idle/Eco mode  that was advertised as being rolled out on all Sonos products in 2022 but just wondering why it outputs a signal when going into idle mode and if there’s any way around this? From other posts I’m led to believe that it isn’t possible to disable Idle Mode so wondering how I’m going to fix this without

My family room system setup has one Arc , two surround One SL all connected and working fine.   I bought two Sub Minis yesterday.   I was able to add and pair Mini 1 with the existing system.   Added Mini 2 also BUT unable to assign to existing system .   I get error message saying  “ A compatible Sonos Speaker is required to add Sub Mini and make sure speaker is powered on and connected to wifi “.     But Arc speaker is already working fine with Sub Mini 1.     Why same Arc is not compatible with Sub Mini 2 ?   Thanks for your guidances.

hi guys i recently bought a LG G2 and connected it to my SONOS Playbar (7 years old). things seemed well for a day or 2 but it started to get intermittent issues.very frequently, when i turn on the power for both, and i turn on the TV, the there is no sound from the Playbar (output from TV is set to Optical Output). when i press the tv remote, the sonos only flashes the white LED when i Volume Down, but no light nor sound when i press Volume Up. Controls also not working from my iphone Sonos app when this happens.then i go to the tv sound settings and change it to hdmi, and back to Optical, the sound comes back and everything works as it should. Both devices are on the latest firmware.the optical cable is connected properly (no issues on previous Sony TV).could i have damaged the optical cable during the change of TV? what could have caused the above issue. or could it be the Ethernet cable that has issues? Thanks!

So my Arc setup is connected RTX3080 → LG C1 eARC → Sonos Arc + 2x One.How do i get (upmixed) surround sound like 5.1 from PC Browsers like for YouTube/Spotify websites?Games work fine no matter Dolby Atmos or 5.1 LPCM.

Since couple of weeks (after update?) I am unable to stream from Spotify to Sonos Connect. Using Spotify in Sonos app has same result.I have two Connect’s, both connected via LAN, both show the same behavior.  Streaming to other Sonos devices works fine. Streaming from other sources than Spotify works. When grouping Connect with a Play:1 streaming works on Connect.Reassigning Spotify account and restarting complete network didn’t solve issue. Anybody else with same issue?

I initially wanted a FIVE for my living room, but in the same area i have TV setup - so NOW im actually thinking of upgrading my TV  to Beam + Mini sub. So my Q is, would the Beam + Minisub be sufficient, making the FIVE somwthat obsolete when just listening to music? Or does the many amplifiers in the FIVE make it superior as stand alone?

I have a Playbar connected to a TV via optical connection. It is in a surround setup with two rear speakers connected through a newer amp. I noticed today when I put my ear to the playbar it sounds like there is audio only coming from one of the 9 speakers in the middle. Is this normal or is there anything I can do? Thanks

I was chatting with Sonos Support to try to resolve an issue with one of my speakers getting out of sync. The individual mentioned “group coordinator” but there isn’t any setting for creating one or even much mention of one in the sonos support / documentation. My system worked fine until a recent update and then one of my Sonos Connect devices gets out of sync with a couple of nearby speaker pairs, one connected by wifi and one connected to my home network via ethernet.Help appreciated.Jim P

I am looking for a high quality DAC/Preamp that will play nicely with Sonos. In particular, it would be great if it was “Works with Sonos” certified. I see based on that site, that the Onkyo, Pioneer Elite, and Integra A/V receivers have this capability. However, those are way overkill in terms of features for my 2 channel setup and often have less than stellar DAC chip implementations anyway.Quite by accident I discovered that Meridian actually integrates “works with sonos” in their high end Dac / Digital preamps - which is great! But before I go buy one of their units, are there any other similar “high end” vendors that also integrate with Sonos?

Hello, I would like to connect spotify to my sonos application but I can't find the application in the "add a service" search. However I managed to sync my soundcloud account.  Thank you for your help !

HiFor some years I have had my Music Library on a NAS, but that one is scrapped now, and I want to have my Music Library on an 1TB USB3 connected M.2 drive on my M1 Mini. I have my Apple Music on the same disk (different folder of course), and this is working well.Shared folder added to Sonos Controller is: /Volumes/Ext_M1_1TB/MusicExt The folder is shared for Sonos as Custom. When I Scan, nothing seems to happen. I have tried to have the app open for some hours to see if it was scanned, but the Music Library in the App keeps empty.Any ideas?br Lars

When trying to change my default service, YouTube Music was missing from the list even though it is one of my services. Thanks for any help!

Hello, My parents property has a Sonos network, I have noticed that when I go to their house, use their wifi, then return home I cannot connect to my home Sonos. I am ‘on’ their Sonos system too (I.e. I can control their system when I am there using my phone and their wifi).  However, regardless of whether or not I control their system while there, when I return back home and try to use my system the app simply displays the ‘Unable to connect…Let’s fix it’ error. I run through the steps, it tells me ‘We’ve found multiple systems’ (mine and my parents). The only option from here is turn it all off and on again - annoying. my wife’s phone / iPad that hasn’t been to my parents house does not have the issue, connects to our home system fine.  I can also still see the speakers on AirPlay and play to them so I’m pretty sure it’s an app / iPhone issue? I’ve tried to turn off ‘private wifi address’ on my iPhone as shown in a similar issue but this hasn’t worked. it’s worth noting that overnigh

A few weeks ago I’m alone at home minding my own business. Suddenly my Sonos system starts playing a song (“Faith” by Stevie Wonder) without my intervention. It plays for a few seconds and then the volume goes up to max. Panic! We live in a flat and have Sonos in several rooms. Poor neighbors…After a few seconds i got myself together and I managed to open the Sonos app and press “pause”. Directly, the music “unpauses”, I “pause”, it “unpauses” and then I turn down the volume to a minimum and then nothing. At first, I suspected that some intruder had gained access to our WIFI and started going over the security logs of our Unifi (Ubiquiti) system. Nothing suspicious there. After that my guess was that one of the neighbors that I know has Sonos in their homes mysteriously had connected to the system. I called the neighbors and asked if they had tried to start “Faith” by Stevie Wonder at that particular time. Nothing.A few days later, I told my wife (who is working as a dance teacher) about

As abovei have recently purchased a sub mini I intend to pair it with my Sonos amp which is in my server rack under the stairs and feeds a pair in ceiling sonance in our kitchen however while the sub will pair to wireless Sonos Ones in another room it simply will not pair to the wired ampi cannot run an Ethernet wire to the location of the subpreviously I had a sub gen 1 running wirelessly with this same setup in the same locationam baffled - any suggestions ?

As of today I get errors when trying to play anything from PocketCast: An error occured while adding tracks to the queue (701)

Hi. I just bought two Play:5 gen 1 - just for the sole purpose of use their upgrade option. The seller had accidentally activated the upgrades on both. After calling the Sonos support we were that the update option had been deactivated and that it would show up on on my account after setting up the speakers on my system. I am able to see the devices on my account, but no upgrade option. The seller had a third device of which he also had the option deactivated. That device shows up at his account with an upgrade option. But the speakers i purchased is now (of course) gone from his system. What to do?

We have used our phones and Macs with our SONOS Beam successfully for 2 years, and we haven’t changed a thing. We use the music stored on our Macs, which still works perfectly with SONOS. We have used the S1 app on our phones with Tunein only to listen to the radio. Our phones will no longer connect to Tunein. My phone is an iPhone 6S, which will not run the newest app. My wife’s phone is an iPhone 13, which has the newest app. Neither phone works with Tunein. After each unsuccessful try, we get the message that our phones are no longer connected to the Internet, and we have to reset our network to get them back on.

I have a digital-only preamp and would like to play vinyl through my system. If I connect my record player to  the analog in on my ZP80, I cannot get it to pass through to my digital preamp, even though the preamp can see a connection. Do I need to do any special config to get the ZP80 to input an analog  source via RCA and then output it to the toslink connector? Thanks in advance!

Hi, is there any reason on why I can’t stream music using Apple Music in my Apple Watch to my Sonos Beam soundbar?. This works perfectly with my iphone, but for some reason the Sonos device does not show up in my list of devices when I try to play music from my Apple Watch Ultra. I also tried with my wife’s Watch (Series 6) and we got the same result :-(.Is this a bug with the Sonos Beam device itself?.  (Adding more to this, Im able to stream music to my LG TV, which also supports Airtplay, so this should be an issue with the Beam soundbar.)

My sonos amp will no longer run the automations on Apples home app.  It was working perfectly for about two weeks then suddenly stopped.  Wifi is strong, I have several apple tvs near by to work as hubs and all of them have apple music set up fine.  Apple made me remove the sonos amp from home app then putting back on.. still nothing.  They told me to talk to sonos. Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance.

Need some clarity. Setting up a new TV and Sonos system. ARC soundbar + AMP driving 4 in-ceiling speakers (setup as pairs of L/R rears)How do I connect these without a router? The ARC is going to the eHDMI input on the TV. How do I connect the AMP? Can that go to the Optical input on the TV using the Sonos HDMI to Optical converter?

Hello. We have several in-ceiling speakers connected with a Sonos Connect. Every time there is a power outage, the in-ceiling speakers stop working. In the app, it says music is streaming to the Connects, but no sound comes out. In the past, I’ve had to restart the amp and the Connects and then wait sometimes 24 hours for sound to come back. But on the most recent outage, I am not able to get sound at all. Like I said, the app is showing music to be streaming, but no sounds comes out. Thanks for the help!

including turning off tv speakers, i just got arc and sub.  set was a breeze but i did have to use the optical cable.  set up went fine played tv ok, switched to spotify ok.  in the evening turned on tv and sound was skipping.   turned set off and next morning I did a reset,  after reset tv (regular cable and streaming) and spotify working ok.  turned everything off for awhile then played spotify for a few hours.   Went to TV (stream and regular cable) and skipping restarted.  does anyone know what is causing this?

I made the mistake of trying to setup a separate Sonos account for work (as we were experimenting with setting up a Sonos system there). I gave a separate email address and created a separate password. On my S2 app (on my iPhone), I logged out of my personal account and logged-into the new work account. Everything seemed fine. That is, until I tried logging out of my work account, and back into my personal account. When I tried to login, the S2 app stated that I was using an incorrect password. I changed the password, but the same error message continued. I went onto my browser and logged into my Sonos account via the Web (with the new password), and everything seems fine (my entire home system is still showing up there, etc). But the S2 iPhone app simply won’t recognize my password (which is a big problem, obviously). The “tech support genius” at Sonos simply suggested deleting and re-installing the S2 app to my phone, which I’m obviously hesitant to do (because I really don’t want to
