sub mini will not connect wirelessly to wired amp

i have recently purchased a sub mini 

I intend to pair it with my Sonos amp which is in my server rack under the stairs and feeds a pair in ceiling sonance in our kitchen 

however while the sub will pair to wireless Sonos Ones in another room it simply will not pair to the wired amp

i cannot run an Ethernet wire to the location of the sub

previously I had a sub gen 1 running wirelessly with this same setup in the same location

am baffled - any suggestions ?

Is Wi-Fi enabled on the Amp?

Have you removed the Sub gen 1 as the Amp's sub?

I completely forgot to switch the wi-fi on for the Amp.

All up and running now and sounding rather good.
