Grouped Zones audio Delay

Have an interesting issue, easy setup. Multiple Connects, connected directly to a power amp. No DSP….No processing. When all zones are grouped together a few of the players are out of sync….by a half a second. Causing an echo from room to room. The resolution is to ungroup all the zones and regroup them. This seems to fix the issue for a day or two.

To me, its almost like a master timing issue? Anyone else ever seen this?

I’d try a reboot of all the effected devices, to force a reload of the OS and a reset of all the electronics inside, since they’re responsible for maintaining sync with each other.

If it recurs again after that, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.
