Well, I’m not a huge fan of change but, I’m in the midst of it since we upgraded my wife’s iMac recently. Her’s was running El Capitan (don’t judge me) because… it worked for what she/we used that computer for.I simply copied the 38GB Sonos library folder to a Crucial SSD drive and then ejected It from the old iMac and plugged it into one of the new iMac’s Thunderbolt ports. I planned on leaving that SSD plugged into the new iMac and redirect the Sonos S2 app’s path to that folder. No such luck. I wasn’t allowed to do it. After much frustration, I reformatted the drive while plugged into the new iMac and dedicated it as her Time Machine drive. (note: the Sharing/Permissions rigamarole didn’t really have an effect on creating access)My question is: IF I purchase a new SSD, format it while connected to the new iMac and then add the Sonos folder to it, do you think I can create the new path for the Sonos app to connect to it? I feel much of the problem lies with Apples OS but, I’m an old

Hi, we just got our Sonos port working with our Sony str-az3000es through the “works with sonos” option and can make the receiver turn on, go to the right input, and play music using the sonos app but are wondering if there’s a way to make the receiver turn off using the app? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

my sonos volume turns up too loud when i turn the television, I would like to set the volume on my sonos to when I turn the sonos on it is at the last set volume when I turned the Sonos off 

Ok, called customer services today and was on the phone for a hour trying to resolve and was unable to, all of a sudden Alexa has stoped working on my one, went into the app and a voice assistant was not loaded on, went through the first steps of adding voice assistant after selecting Alexa I get a spinning loading wheel then the message “there was a problem starting Amazon alexa, make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi. done the usual uninstalling/ reinstalling apps and factory reset my speaker and still the same. Any ideas?!

Hey lovely community, I just became a proud owner of a Beam Gen 1, my first Sonos product!! Wayoo! 🤩I got it to connect to my Samsung TV (not sure which model, but lets say around 5 years old) through HDMI ARC. I use a Chromecast TV on it with the chromecast remote because the Samsung is smart but not super smart (lacks some apps and remote is half broken). The sound works great, however the volume controls do not seem to work. I control the volume on my chromecast remote since the volume alider on my Samsung remote is broken, however the Chromecast remote is connected to the TV (i.e the volume interface is Samsungs). Sorry for the long explanation but does anyone know a fix to this? Any help is super appreciated! ❤️

I just got two sonos move to add my the sonos ray and the sub mini….the sound is terrible, it keep dropping outit interrupt all the time…i have to setup the sound of my moves lower than the ray+sub mini….is it normal?i wish i could return em and get the moves 2 but its been 2 months alreadyi cant even charge the speakers with my MacBook pro,chargerim very mad…..i need help with hte sound cuts

I have a W11 laptop which has my playlist on it.  I would like to export that playlist to my Samsung S22 Ultra.  I cant work out how to do that :(.

why when I install my sonos everything is done My Spotify plus amazon le.spotify connection is on the sonos app too. and when I ask to play spotify it always tells me that I'm offline. what am I doing wrong. it worked for a long time and after a change of router it no longer works. THANKS

I have gen 1 speakers running through  S1 controller.  Today I’m getting email messages and in-app messages to download “ the new Sonos app.” Anybody know if that app is replacing S1 or is it for S2? 

I currently own a number of Connect and Connect Amp devices and am having problems when streaming via Tune In. My devices reset on a regular basis. I could understand if this was due to a poor broadband connection but my download speed is in excess of 50 mb/sec which is more than enough for Sonos.I’ve been told that this is due to a combination of the Sonos devices not able to buffer in storage along with Tune In not buffering as well. Note that my system is flawless when streaming from other providers such as myradio.com, etc.I’m thinking of replacing all of my equipment with new devices although I have no need for any of the “enhancements” found on newer devices.Does the new Sonos devices have the ability to buffer to avoid the dropouts?

I rebooted my connect:amp to correct for audio cutting in/ out. It workedProblem now is tv audio is out of sync, @2seconds delayed.How do I fix this? Thanks 

Hello,I am wondering if the following setup is possible with Sonos. I have a bluetooth turntable, that would connect via bluetooth to the Era100 pair. From there, will I be able to also use the Arc soundbar?

I have seven devices running on Sonos S1, even some quite old ones, from the early days. I am an Sonos early adaptor and started with Sonos in 2009. I have multiple Play:5 1st gen and some newer devices, that despite they could run S2 still run on S1, because of compatibility.After I relocated from a flat into my new house, I am not able to get two of the 4x Play:5, that I own, back online again and connected into the Sonos mesh.With relocation the network infrastructure changed from one connected Boost on an unmanaged switch (AVM FritzBox 6360 with integrated Access point) to a fully managed infrastructure with managed Zyxel L3 switches (XMG1930 and XS1930) and dedicated Zyxel access points (NWA210AX), which allow fine grained configuration of VLANs, IGMP Snooping and also support RSTP and MSTP and fortunately also port mirroring for observing what happens. To avoid network loops and as I have a lot of concrete and steel in the house and SonosNet would anyway not work, I decided after

Looking to update my Sonos S1 system which includes a Bridge, Boost, and 2 Connects.  What do I upgrade to?

Is there any way to get the Beam to remember the volume setting for the TV separately from the volume setting for music?  We use it for music during the day, then for TV after the kids are in bed.  Often the volume was turned up for music/airplay/radio and is very loud when we turn on the tv.  It takes a surprisingly long time to get the volume down again with the TV remote.  It would be fantastic if it would default to the last volume setting used for the HDMi input.  Does anyone know of such a setting?  If it doesn’t exist, how do we make a feature request?  Thanks,Andy

The Sonos compatibility page says that these two of my Sonus devices – Play:1 and Sub (Gen 2) – are compatible with the new Sonos app. And that two devices – Connect and Connect:amp – are not compatible. So I purchased a Port to replace the Connect to have my Sonos system with the new Sonos app. But the new Sonos app says that the two devices listed as compatible by the Sonos compatibility page are actually not compatible.  System upgrade says that no upgrades are available. So which is it, compatible or not? iOS ver 16.6.1Sonos app ver 15.7.1Sonos S1 app ver 11.10.1

I have a new vinyl platine, but don’t own speakers excepts for a couple of Sonos 1….How can I stream the sound of that platine to the Sonos speakers ? Do I need the Sonos AMP to do that? something else ? Thanks :)

Can I connect my Sonos one to my LG tv to act as an additional speaker 

I will keep this brief.  I have just set up my playbase with 2 play 1’s as surround.  The current setup is via my Samsung TV and Sky Q box I have two issues.   My 4K Pannasonic player has no sound at all.  It is set up with an HDMI VIdeo/Audio to the TV.   It used to be set up when I had my old receiver via separate audio and video hdmi.  I have “told” the 4k player that sound should be a single HDMI but to no avail.  There  is no audio.  Equally I have “told” the TV to expect both sound/video but its just not working but I can’t see where the instruction has gone wrong. 2nd Issue is minor but annoying.  All the apps apart from one on the SKy Q box are sending sound to the playbase  eg Prime/Netflix.  However Youtube isn’t.  No sound from the youtube app at all.   I can access youtube via an app on the TV and there is sound.  Cannot work out why the app on Sky would be different/

We have a Play:5 speaker and sonos Connect. The connect unit is attached to a receiver, so that receiver transmits the Music two for tanning rooms. The plate five speaker is in the fitness center playing in the majority of the space.  We have been constantly losing connectivity using iHeartRadio. We are able to play Amazon music continuously without any interruptions. We also run Lorex camera system for security. Everything was running fine since May 1 when we opened and now a week ago the interruption of audio has started looking for any advice from the community? Thank you in advance.  IT guys have created separate networks for all cams, sonos players and everything else we have going on in the facility. We can’t figure this one out. 

Seen a number of threads on the topic of audio dropout on BBC Sounds, however not sure if there is a definitive fixI've seen this problem within the last week. Select a BBC station and it drops out after a few seconds. It does this a number of times and then appears to settle.Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks 

I recently introduced a Brennan B3 media player to my Sonos systems. Previously I used a “JukeBox” CD player to send analog signals to a Connect and later a Port onwards to Sonos. The Brennan sends WAV/FLAC etc. directly to Sonos not requiring a Port. It outputs the signal via USB to my network and hence Sonos.Is it me? But I’m noticing a reduced volume on many of my ripped CDs, I’m going to try playing the content of the same CD on the B3 CD player and listen if it's different.Anyone able to throw light on this issue.

I have Samsung TU7000 and I recently purchased Sonos beam gen 2. While testing the sound bar I found the sound level is different across different streaming platforms which is annoying. I tested first with all in built apps from Samsung tv and after tested with fire tv stick apps, I found the same issue. I checked my tv audio settings and Samsung TV doesn’t allow me to set fix volume across different apps.  Any help to fix this would really be appreciated.
