Dear all,I have been a Sonos user for several years. My primary streaming service is Tidal (lossless formats, 24bit, hi-res), etc.I am trying to get the latest information about what “hi res” formats Sonos supports from Tidal. I have read articles about 24 bit streaming from both Apple and Qobuz.Assuming the answer is “yes” - Does it matter whether I start a song from Tidal (then “connect” it to Sonos) or whether I start the song from Sonos?

My current Sonos system: Playbar, Sub, One SL (qty. 2).  I want to connect a turntable (I’ve not decided if it will include a pre-amp or not).  Assuming I use a turntable without a pre-amp, and do not utilize a non-Sonos receiver or amp, what are my best options for turntable connection to my Sonos One SL speakers?  Would a Connect Amp work, or is another solution preferable?

Hi there, Concerned I may have to rebuild my playlists in Sonos, comprised mostly of tracks from SoundCloud. Recreating them by adding a track at a time, when there are probably 1000+ different tracks up to now does not sound ideal.  After the "partial outage" of SoundCloud last week, no tracks on any playlists from this particular source would play/ will play. Tried many times to load different playlists with different tracks to different speakers on my system (have 3 different speakers)...none of them worked. This same behavior has happened both during the outage, and after the Sonos status page said the service was restored.  I tried reauthorizing my SoundCloud account multiple times, both during the outage, and after Sonos claimed service was restored...no tracks from SoundCloud would play from my playlists. Got desperate and tried removing/re-adding the SoundCloud account to my Sonos services, but still nothing plays. Fear this last action may have nuked the playlists. But good ne

I have 2 Sonos Subs, 1 Sonos Boost, 1 Sonos Playbar and 1 Sonos Play:3. I was able to pair all of them except for the Playbar yesterday to my Sonos app yesterday. The Playbar only had orange flashing light. However, when I moved them to a different location and tried to connect again today, it doesn’t work.I have tried to factory reset them but for example, on the Sonos Play:3, I only managed to get the flashing orange light, which never turned green. The light on the Sonos Playbar does not turn on at all. Steps i took for the Playbar was: Turned off power. Press and hold on the play/pause button, then turning on the power. Waited for the light on the speaker to turn flashing orange (which did not happen), then green .The same goes for the Sonos Play:3, which only differs in that there was orange light but no green light. Other things I had done was:Connect the speaker to ethernet Switched wires for the speakers Reset my system on my appSince it had worked yesterday, chances are that t

Can I connect Sonos arc direct to Apple 4K TV, or does it need to connect via TV using HDMI/arc?

Sonos ARC S19 connected with HDMI cable, not Fiber Optic. HDMI 3 Arc on TV connected to HDMI on Sonos. I have rebooted both TV and Sonos. I have switched HDMI cables. When I press Settings on TV controller, scroll to Audio output, and scroll down to select Audio system, it says, “Switching audio to external speakers.” Ten seconds later it says, “Audio system is unavailable. Switching to TV speakers.” When I disconnect TV and Sonos from power for 2 minutes, and plug them back in, it says, “Switching audio to external speakers.” Ten seconds later it says, “Audio system is unavailable. Switching to TV speakers.” In the Sonos app on my iPhone, when I go to Home Theater > TV Setup, it says, “Let’s get your Sonos connected to your TV.” After the required steps it says, “Audio System not connected.” The four tiny white LEDs on the Sonos sound bar indicate it is working properly. Hi all, I'm having problems with my sub mini. It is connected via my beam gen 1 which is connected to ehternet with the WiFi still enabled. I also have 2 one sls connected as well. Everything stays connected no problems or issues apart from the sub mini.  It goes offline with a red/orange coloured light. Having watched it tonight it runs and works fine and then all of a sudden the white light starts flashing then eventually goes to red.  I don't think it is over heating etc as I had it running for ages via YouTube off the TV and it ran fine.  I've spoken to sonos support today and they seemingly reset it so everything needed updating and said there was nothing wrong. The sub didn't work after this but it was connected and then started working after I updated it.  It always seems to coincide with watching the TV for some reason, but it's just a Samsung smart TV running emby via an internal app.  In terms of location the beam is wired to the ethernet cable and the sub is about 60cm away

Sonos when plugged not even lighting. No response at all.

Hey all,My MyBookLive NAS died after many years of service, hosting my Sonos music library.  I replaced it with a DS120j Synology NAS, and it has NOT been plug and play.  I’ve seen many notes in the Sonos forums about workarounds to get Synology and Sonos to work together, and I’ve tried most of them, to no avail.So, I have a Sonos S1 system that has worked great and I don’t want to migrate to S2.  I have spent hours with very patient and helpful Sonos support techs, Apple support techs, and Synology support techs, and no one can get the “access denied” error to go away when trying to play music library files on the Synology NAS.  If anyone has any recent magic bullets, let me know.Alternatively, if some Sonos user is willing to recommend any NAS that DOES work with Sonos, please let me know.  The Sonos support folks have to remain agnostic, and most of the reviews of the various NAS drives I’ve read are pretty horrible.  Synology seemed “least bad”, but now I think their software is j

I have an issue where some 44.1 kHz 16 bit AIFF files show up in my library and some do not.  Anything ripped in Itunes shows up fine, but a friend sent me a folder with files in the identical specs and that folder (as an album) and those files do not, even after multiple indexes of my music library. Wonder if it has something to do with “Little Endian” vs. “Big Endian” byte order, but any help appreciated

Hi, i have a beam gen 2 + sub mini and a pair of era 100 as surround speakers.Im thinking to upgrade to era 300 for surround for the beam.Is it possible to connect a pair of era 300 with a pair of era 100 for playing music?I would only use the era 300 + era 100 for playing music and switch to surround for movies.

I have a large indoor room (kitchen/living/dining combo almost 1000 sq ft) and would like accomplish 2 things with Sonos:  1.  Greatly enhance sound quality of TV sound but don’t need a truly immersive experience.  2.  Play music while cooking and entertaining.  I also have a large outdoor covered deck. Want to accomplish exact same goals outside as above stated for indoor room. Outdoor area is 1050 sq ft What would you recommend?  Thanks very much!!!

Hi guys. My wife gave me her Sonos Play 3 but I have a different E mail adress and cannot connect my Sonos Play 3. It is in the same house and I cannot remove her account and chage her list.

So… I’m new to Sonos. I bought an Arc, a Sub Mini and 2 ERA300 6 months ago. The 300 are used as surrounds, in the back wall. I love what I’m hearing. In fact, I had a very good hifi system before and this set up comes pretty close to it. No complaints.But I’m wondering if adding 2 ERA100 on the front wall would give an even better spatial sound for music reproduction. My room is 12x16 and is optimized (treated) for sound repro. Would it be worth the investment to add the 100s?Thanks.

Hi all,in the last few days I’m not able to play radio stations (“unable to play Radio station) or music from YouTube (not encoded correctly) from within the Sonos app.  if I use Alexa I have no issues and can play music (from free Amazon as YouTube doesn’t play nicely with Alexa) and radio stations. I can even see that playing in the app and can stop the music.I have reinstalled the app but no luck. unfortunately I work during the week and can’t talk to agents as they only work Mon-Fri. any ideas?Thanks,

I am considering buying the Sonance - MAG6.1 - Mag Series 6.1-Ch. Landscape Outdoor Speaker System Powered by Sonos® currently on sale at Best Buy. My existing home theater system consists of a Denon 1600AVR with in-ceiling speakers and a couple of Denon Home speakers in various rooms that I can control and stream through using HEOS. Would the landscape system above and my existing system be compatible such that I can stream the same thing inside and out? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Came back from vacation and started having problems with my Arc.  Plugged into the return HDMI on the TV.  However, the sound only works if I unplug the Sonos before watching TV.Now I noticed that the Arc isn’t in my Sonos app either, the Sonos One’s aren’t paired with it either.The Arc is plugged in via Ethernet.  I unplug the power, hold the join button while plugging the device back in.  Wait for it to be green and go into the app to pair the device.  It never seems to pair.  Trying to figure out what happened and how to fix it.

I have a Sonos system connected to a Boost. My iPhone will connect to the system with no issues. My wife’s iPhone is unable to connect to the same system on the same network. I have reset the app, tried to connect to the network with correct password, etc. Still unable to connect is the message I keep getting on the app. App is updated. iPhone has different OS versions. I changed my wifi about 2 weeks ago. Managed to go through and reconnect my Beam and one of my One SL surrounds. For some reason, the Sub and the other SL surround won’t connect to wifi. I’ve been through the steps in the app, typed the wifi password, connected the One SL to the router but it still can’t connect to the network. I’ve even tried setting the whole thing up as a new system but I’m still stumped.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Hi,I just ordered the outdoor amp and architectural speaker set.  I’m assuming the answer is no, but wondering if I can split the two speakers the outdoor set comes with so I can put one speaker in the front yard, and one speaker in the back yard, and play one without the other, or have one playing one source, and the other another source. General idea be using them like a move or a “one”? And if so, would they individually play in mono, or would one be left and one right channel? Thanks

There is an orange marking on the Sony input.  I know the Sonos uses 1/8 RCA but don’t know what the other end uses.
