I want to add a stand alone speaker to my zoned system. Can I add either of these speakers to my other zones which are amp to ceiling speakers? Secondly which is better?

is sonos one or era better?

The Era is stereo compared to the mono One - Era sounds better IMHO - you can group the speaker(s) with your Amp rooms - see this link:
