I have ray and era 100 how do I set up for surround sound have paired them but I think they're working as stereo not surround ?

I cannot connect my amp to the network.  When I try to, it tells me to press play and volume up but I only have mute.  So it fails.

Hey fellow Sonos fans!Got myself a 2nd gen Beam from someone on the web, was factory reset, connected it when home and started the process to add to my home system and it goes as far as adding it to a room but saying that it can't be used until it gets registered - which it continuously fails to do.Tried wifi, ethernet, no difference - actually no, there is a difference, when trying with ethernet, the chime with pin is not audible; when trying on wifi, it is but doesn't work. go figure - any help is appreciated as I'd hate to learn i got an expensive paper weight :(if this helps:Sonos OS: S2Version: 16.1.1 (build 78152020)Hardware Version: 1.35.1.6-2.1Series ID: A200Best,

Newbie here, I just got an audio-technica turntable (AT-LP3XBT). It has Bluetooth capabilities and I’m trying to connect it to my Sonos Arc. Is it possible to connect the turntable to the Arc directly and without having to purchase another speaker? 

I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a TV that support ARC (but not eARC). I no longer have any spare HDMI inputs for my bluray player now that I’ve plugged a Google TV streamer in to the TV. Not really a problem as we stream all movies that we watch now, however, I have some bluray disks with 5.1 channel music that I’d love to be able to listen to through the Beam.Jumping through hoops I’ve extracted the 5.1 sound files from the disk to a 5.1 LPCM .flac file, 48khz/24bits, and I put that on to my home network. The Sonos app can see the file, but when I try to play it I’m told “unsupported format”. So, is there a supported format I can convert the files to that the Beam can play directly?Casting the sound file to the Google TV also doesn’t play the files, although I can play them fine on my computer or phone. (Also using an app called BubbleUPnP on my phone or home network I can convert the files to 2 channel to play, but I want the Beam to be able to mix the 5.1 channels itself)

It’s been over two weeks since I purchased my Move 2 and I’m still unable to use it due to the new update.  Each time I try and add the speaker it says “Sonos needs local network access for set up.  In iOS settings, tap Local Network, then return to the Sonos app.”The “local network” is already toggled on, and when I return to the Sonos app, it redirects me to turn on “local network”… which is already turned on.  The app is stuck in circles with no fix to be found.  I can’t even use bluetooth on this speaker as you have to first set it up in the app.  It’s basically a $400 paper weight!  I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!  Sonos has not even bothered to informed us on when or if they ever plan on resolving this issue!I don’t care about alarm clocks or the new crappy interface.  I just want to use the damn thing!Oh, and good luck adding your new headphones to this nonsense! … Thinking of switching systems all together if this is how Sonos is gonna roll. 

Sonos error message “unable to play “song” connection to plex was lost”. Plex on Sonos can move between music folders and tracks, but once a track is selected same error message occurs.This started happening mid February 2024. In the past this has happened every time there is a new release of Plex media server. To fix the problem I would log into Plex media server on my Synology NAS DSM18+ running V6.0 to find a message that an update to Plex was available. Same message now, and new version of Plex media was server released Feb 13, 2024. New 64 bit version for Synology 6.0 installed ( stop Plexmedia server from running, download and install correck .spk file, re-start Plex media server). But problem persists.Sonos on iphone can play Amazon music and other apps- TuneIn fine. Plex by itself on iphone can play music from Nas fine.Sonos support contacted twice- Sonos re-booted, router/modem re- booted- no change. Speed of Internet checked and over 350 mbps/sec. Sonos deleted and re-install

Hi All,The new app from release, through to version 80.00.08 hasn’t been able to run Trueplay completely.  If I disconnect my Era surround and run Trueplay against my Arc and Sub it works fine.  Add the era’s and it fails each time.Arc is wired, sub and era’s are wireless.  Everything worked fine before updating to the latest app.Error msg: Run Trueplay; rotate phone listen to noises; move to next stage, walking around the room; at the end of this stage the yellow circle spins, reaches the top and does nothing.  Only option is to cancel.Has anyone experienced something similar?To add: Phone is iOS 14 Pro max, running iOS 17.5.I reached out to Technical support team on 8th May who were brilliant at diagnosing the problem but did not have a resolution.  

I know this has been asked before but the solution is not working!My partner keeps on unplugging a Play:1 speaker used as a surround speaker. Eventually it got so out of date I ended up factory resetting it. That was my mistake. After play:1 updated, when I tried to add it back into the system I got the response “Play:1 Not registered"I repeatedly tried to register it, responded to the tones but got no further. I reset it again, connected via Ethernet but still ended up  “Play:1 Not registered"Tried calling UK help but got message “wait time 180 minutes”, tried live chat but no one available.What else can I do?sonos app version S2 80.00.02

In the past - about 8 years ago - it was possible to manage the volume of your Sonos system by using the ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ buttons on your smartphone. Due tue an update of the Sonos app, it wasn’t possible anymore. From the 7th of may, Sonos released a new Sonos app, and I hoped Sonos reintroduced this function. Unfortunately still the only way tho manage the volume of the Sonos system is by swiping on your screen (to the left and right) of your smartphone. I hope, that Sonos in the future will consider to reintroduce the old school function by pressing the plus and minus buttons! 

I’ve been through the setup many times...it won’t connect to wifi. I try the (correct) password 3 times and it bombs out of setup.Also trying to hook a turntable and play line in and that is silent.  Arg.

Hello, With the new App i have mulptiple alarms for each day of the week. The problem, now is we cannot see the station with each alarm right away.  It is only indicated: LIVE STATION  instead of the name or the station’s logo. Can you do something, we should see it as first view and step.What is going on with this problem ??

My sub mini is showing as not assigned in the app. It keeps failing when I try to assign to my beam, although it will assign to 2 other speakers I have in other rooms. I have reset everything to no avail. Any suggestions?

I have an Era 100 and an Audio-Technica Sound Burger (AT-SB727). I love them both separately, but not as much together…The Sound Burger connected using the Sonos line-in adaptor. Even at the lowest 75ms setting, the audio delay is really annoying! Depending on what record I’m playing, there can be some ‘needle chatter’. The combination of this and the speaker delay can ruin the listening experience at lower volumes. I’m not too fussed by this when the music is at a higher volume, but I mostly like to have music playing in the background. I’ve previously owned a more traditional turntable/amp/speaker setup in the past, and this was never really that noticeable when the sound was synchronised. I understand that the delay is there as a buffer, allowing for optimal group playback. But an option to bypass this would be perfect, even at the expense of losing the group/multi-room functionality. When is Sonos going to take ownership of the disaster they have inflicted?  Neither the PC app nor the phone app works right.  I’ve lost my alarm capability.  I spent at least an hour in chat trying to fix a PC app problem with function boxes opening off screen making them unusable.  The support person kept asking what I wanted to do while ignoring the fact the boxes should appear entirely within the screen whether I wanted to do anything at all.  I had to end the chat and call for level 2.  I was told the estimated wait time was 70 minues.  Sonos hung up after 63 minutes. The phone app doesn’t have the alarm function any more.  I was told to use the PC app (see above).  So, I have been suckered into buying hundreds of dollars of equipment just so Sonos can screw me over with their software. 

I’ve seen there are a few ways to hook up an analog stereo to Sonos speakers. I have a few pieces of kit going into a graphic equalizer and the EQ goes out to my current amplifier.What’s the best device for connecting all that to the Sonos? I’d guess the EQ can output directly to a Sonos Amp. That’s a lot of money. Are there other more economical options?I guessWhat’s the best What’s the most cost-efficient And what are the trade-offs between the two?

I have two Sonos Move speakers that are paired. Is it possible to play music from only one speaker without unpairing?When I unpair them, sometimes I have difficulty re-pairing them, so I would prefer to not have to unpair but be able to play one speaker at a time.The reason for this is at times I take one speaker to my backyard and leave the other in the house. But the one in the house is also playing which at times is disturbs those sleeping or watching tv.  If I hit the power button on one speaker it turns both speakers off  

The new app is really bad. The features which were iportant to me:Set an alarm with a radio chanell sleeping timerare gone, why do you introduce a new app which is worse than the old one?

Hi I am seeing the same problem it’s lucky dip when I try to use the Appi have 4 Sonos devices Amp/ Port / Play5 and MoveSome days all show , others just 1 and it’s never the same one.Yet if I then go to my MacAir M2 all the devices show  Also I’ve set my Sonos to Google home and if I ask Google to play on any of the Sonos devices it works. As an aside if I do use the Mac App then go to iPhone app the devices miraculously appear.my IPhone 12Pro is on the latest iOS 16.3.1the Sonos App is 15.1 all on the same WiFi no mesh no clever stuff. It’s clearly the App  Come on Sonos give us back the bullet proof App we used to have As that is not the case right now  

My TV does not work with the Sonos and Sonos app. I have no sound! I am not happy

I just installed the new iOS app. I’m able to connect to all of my services using the updated iOS app except for CBC Radio & Music.I have no problem connecting to CBC from the latest Sonos app on MacOS. Additionally, if I make the connection from MacOS, I can see and manage it from the new app on iOS.Any idea what’s going on?Thanks,John

So all I can get with the new Web App is a nice note “Unsupported Screen Size” So very helpful.Why has Sonos decided not to share the minimum supported screen size with us users?Is there a better solution than trying to open the Web App on every device I own and seeing which ones are “good enough” and which aren’t?

How to repair Sonos Beam 2nd generation in Poland under warranty?

One feature from the last decade that I use a lot (maybe the only one?) is searching my local library for a song title. I really miss that one. Is it still in the app, just hidden? Or is it removed, never to come back? Or is it “coming back soon”?
