Using any wireless headphones.

I have the Arc, amp and various Sonos speakers around the house. Linked to the system is an Innuos Zen Mini 3 which holds my music collection.

All I want to be able to do is listen to my music while my wife watches the t.v. with her using the Arc.

I have a Sonos Port which is not in use at the moment. Is it possible to achieve what I’d like to do if I use the Port, connect its output to something like an Ifi zen blue 3 transmitter. I then wirelessly link a pair of bluetooth headphones to the output of the Ifi giving me the freedom to listen to my music in an adjacent room or alongside her.

Has anyone achieved this or have any other ideas?

Update. I tried VLC, but for some reason it would not detect all of my music stored on the Innuos Zen 3. I have liaised with Innuos who have superb customer support. They suggested trying an app called ‘mconnectLite’ on my I-phone. Bingo, it works a treat. No cost and I can use my existing wired headphones, plugged into the phone.

Yes, you could do that… any bt audio transmitter can be connected to Ports output and you can play your music via Sonos music library as the source of Ports room.
But to be honest, why don’t directly access to your nas via a smartphone app and use bt headphones directly connected to the smartphone?

Thanks for replying Schlumpf, can you direct me towards such an app? One which is quite simple. Sorry, I’m not that tech savvy these days. I have the I-phone, I have a decent pair of wired headphones, (old but good Bose QC15’s), plus the short cable I can connect the headphones to the ‘phone. I just don’t know what or where to start looking for such software. This would be the best and cheapest option for me. I don’t keep much of my music on the handset.

„Easy to use“ is quite individual… but just take a look at the Apple app store on your iPhone and search for audio and/or network players. As a free app I can recommend „VLC player“.
Just connect the path to your nas drive within the app.
