What happened?  Its worked fine since the day I got my pair of Era 300’s.  It was working as recently as last week (8-15-24).  Now I get lossless streaming but not Atmos on music I know for certain is Atmos in my library. I’ve restarted my Mac and my iPhone and the speakers and still no Atmos.  I’ve tried the trick where you move the S2 app scrub bar to get it to correctly show if its streaming Lossless or Atmos music but that doesn't do any good.

My iPhone is running Sonos app version 80.06.03 installed on July 30.  The Era 300’s are both running version 16.3.1 (build 80.1-55240).

I deleted the S2 app and redownloaded a fresh copy from the App Store and it seems to be working now.  It’s still weird that it just stopped working,  Im not aware of any updates to ether the app or the speakers between when it was working and when it wasn’t.


I’ve had to use the “Force Close” option a few times on the new app. The normal swipe it off the screen close doesn’t help. Your remove/reinstall likely did the force thing on uninstall.
