If a company takes away all the functionality that u use, making all you speakers useless, is that fraud?I’m beginning to think Sonos is guilty of fraud.

After 2 calls at over an hour each with techs over the last 3 weeks, I'm at a loss here before I sell this and get a different brand. System was great for the 2 years etc I've used it. I'm decent with the app and understand how to get the amp to play and connect the speakers to the amp through it. I did an update on the S2 app about 3 weeks ago and then all hell broke lose. Even after the update I did yesterday 12-6-22 nothing is better.  No soundI noticed the amp is 2.4ghz and speakers are 5ghz wifi on the Comcast app. This seems like a problem. We tried the wired ethernet approach and nothing happened. Like how could this not play after being hard wired to the router??The only time it worked was when I unplugged the amp, then unplugged the router, then plugged the amp back in. The speakers came back on and I thought I fixed it. Couple hours later, dead again. I keep doing all the system diagnostics and it can't find 2 speakers and still no sound. I'll try one last tech call but maybe

Has anyone figure out how to get the Symfonisk speakers set up on an existing Sonos system? I have a picture frame setup with a mini subwoofer, and I have been trying to  add a second speaker frame to make it stereo, but I have not had positive experience with it. Call Sonos a few time (super waste of time), and I even exchange the speaker for a new one in IKEA…. So, the question is what else can I do to get this set up.SONOS if you read this, please send an update for the app, currently it sucks to help set up a speaker, and the Ethernet cable won’t take you to the update part (super weird), even tho the speaker is directly connected to the router.   Thanks!

I’m looking at buying a Ray Soundbar but want to know if I can connect my 2 x play 1 speakers to create surround sound please? 

I have read the threads regarding connecting Sonos to a Synology NAS. It seems that everyone can connect via adding a path to the music library. I have the Media Server application on my Synology, and my Windows PC can see it as a media server. However, my Sonos app does not see it as a media server. My Sonos app does see my Windows Media Server, though. Does the Sonos app support media servers on NAS? It appears that several people have found alternate solutions such as using Plex. I prefer not to use a workaround.

 Hi!I’ve seen a Sonos connect on eBay. The seller is unsure whether it’s a gen 1 or gen 2, I’m after gen 2. I have some pictures, can anyone tell me which generation this is please? Moderator edit: removed serial number (which does not help in determining model)

I can see this has been asked many times but I've yet to find an answer that solves my issue.I have an Amazon playlist of around 900 songs and growing.This playlist shuffles with no issues on my phone, however not via Sonos When start Sonos either via the app or Alexa I only have access to 500 songs and they don't shuffle properly. There are a fraction of songs which continually shuffle, but most never do.if I shuffle via Amazon and connect to Sonos, I apparently have access to the entire playlist, but again only they same few songs play again and again.I've refreshed music, deleted Amazon and reinstalled and the same with the Sonos app.I love my Sonos system but this is doing my head in.I really don't want to change music streaming platform, but do any other platforms work better?Many thanks ​​​​​​

Recently moved so setting up Sonos on new network.  Some of our speakers (Beam, Move) we added with no issues.  All our other speakers (another Beam, 5’s, 1’a, subwoofer) have been added to our network successfully.  I can see them in the Sonos iPhone app - they show as  “not registered”.  They will not register with Sonos and I get the error message “There was a problem adding your Sonos 5 to your system. Try again later.” . Any suggestions beyond resetting everything to factory settings or unplugging my router (all have been done several times with no success). appreciated. 

FIP disappeared. What happened? Please tell me it’s temporary as this is the only radiostation I listen to. 

Having read some very old threads here, I think I know the answer and it seems have provoked some emotions but is it feasible to add Sonos to our office desktop environment?I ask as we are wall to wall Sonos now … inside and out. The only areas NOT yet having it integrated are the kids gaming environment (have posted the Q elsewhere but surprisingly no answers yet) and the office desktop PC.In an ideal world it would be great to integrate a Sonos solution rather than a third party one. I have a pair of One’s that I’d like to upgrade to Era 300’s and this would be a nice chess move.I suspect the answer is no but just to ask if it’s a possibility in 2024 …. for Sonos music  streams of course but also the normal Windows sounds. Many thanks in advance

Posting as a separate topic as it will get lost in the main announcement topic because of the disastrous app release.The web app. Can it be disabled? I do not want my Sonos system available on the web and have zero need for a web player when there are phone and computers apps. At the moment when using the apps I could only access Sonos whilst on my home network.I really do not like the idea of my system being available on the web. You don’t even use 2FA.

Hi - we have a paid subscription to Spotify and recently the Sonos fails to connect to Spotify, saying after very few seconds, timed out.   This is on Macs and the mobile App.  It can find other spotify music (recently played and playlists). I can play an album on the Spotify App then access it via recently played on Sonos, but not if I go to my saved album section.  

I have an Era 300 stereo pair in my home and had a One stereo pair in my office.  I have now retired.  I’ve done factory resets on the Ones but I’m not sure how I can add them to the Era pair and match the Left Era with a One (making it a Left) and match the Right Era with the other One, or am I thinking about this the wrong way???  Thanks

Hello, I know there are a lot of similar discussion, but I did’t find my solution now. Maybe it’s just to individual, but let’s give it a try.For years I have my two Sonos Play 5 (1st Gen) in the living room, one Play 1 in the kitchen and another Play 1 in the bedroom.For now I like to upgrade my living room. Mostly listen to music => Spotify, mainly Rap & Pop, therefore the Play 5 as a stereo pair are perfect.  But I like to add a Soundbar for a little home theater. Beam Gen2 in mind. Ratio Music to Movie is about 70:30 Room is around 40 square meter.Now my question: Which would be the best solution for listen to music in a good stereo quality but still have the option to enjoy movies with Dolby Atmos?Option 1: Two Era 300 and Beam 2 Option 2: Two Era 100, Sub Mini, Beam 2 Option 3: Open for suggestions in ± same BudgetWhat do you think? 

Three days ago my Sonos Move stopped working with Alexa commands… Nothing to my knowledge has changed. Its just stopped listening!I have tried all the resets that are advised etc and still nothing… help? 

Hi AllI purchased SYMFONISK 594.879.47 but the app update server seems to be down and I am unable to get the updater and complete my speaker setup. tried WIFI setup security and tethering but I get the same error code 18 and I wonder if a worldwide update attack is being carried out on SONOS, because I got 30 once by chance. I wonder if this is a problem that has been happening since the previous model. I have an arc connected to a Samsung ( two year old model) TV via the eARC port . Everything works fine except when I want to use a pair of headphones via blutooth … I need to do this for late viewing to avoid disturbing sleepers ..The headphones gets paired with the TV without problems . Once connected , it just works fir a few seconds before the Arc reconnects itself . I have spoken to Sonos support a year or so ago but there was no resolution but apparently was flagged up .  Have spoken to Samsung support who says it’s an issue with the Arc . They say there isn’t a problem with their own soundbars and suggested I change over !!  Yeah right …A cumbersome work around is to connect an Amazon firestick and works with the headphone once paired .. Is this something that can be resolved without needing  the firestick ?  

Please add visualizer functionality and controller layout customization.As a Port and Connect (S2 compatible) owner who integrates into other amp/passive speaker zones, it would be great if these features were available.For example, I have a Sonos zone in my primary home theater by way of Port, but use my Mac Mini to display the Sonos app on my TV. This works, but it could be a lot more visually appealing if there was a way to customize the layout. For example, larger cover art, bitrate/resolution, etc. This is not an edge case.Take it a step further and add some eye candy with options for visualizers. Heck, open it up to the community and I bet we'd see some awesome content brought forward. VU Meters would be cool for example. Lot of possibilities. People (not all) want the eye candy and your competitors are incorporating it alongside support for lossless high resolution audio. If you're not going to support the latter, you should look to support the former in my opinion.

Hi last week I updated to the new app and now done the update on the new app. do u have to re tune true play since the new version of the app has been installed. Well if true play isn’t still broken. Which i see people having issues with it. thanks 

I got a play 5 for €20 and thinking of buying another one for €40Also thinking about getting a connect for €25 off marketplace. And I was wondering if I’m able to connect the connect gen 1 to my tv and use the two play:5’s as stereo for the tv

Cannot unpair stereo on new app !! ( the faulty new one …. )  - no option to do it . ; I have preserved on my tablet the old app but cannot unpair - it says I have to upgrade to the new one to have this functionality … .. wich on the new app ( on my phone ) it does not exist …. 

I won’t bother re-hashing all of the issues that have already been addressed in all of these various threads. My only question is, can we rollback to the old app while we wait on whatever unforeseen update(s) to come along and fix the myriad of problems with the new app?The new app is kind of unusable. lol, its like sonos wanted to test the patience of its user base by taking away a bunch of functions while claiming everything would remain, but be better. 😅😅

Hi I’m trying to set the Sonos app from iOS I’m already signed in the browser and the app says that need update and every time i try to update diverts me to sign out and in and just keep repeating same thing Very annoying Anyone can help, thanks

Hi,  I have a Play 3 - It will not pass the final connection to system check where it plays an ‘audio pin’ - this is both wired and via wifi. I have tried the S1 app but it tells me the Play 3 is on S2 firmware !I’m on the line to Sonos support UK - it estimated 40 mins but I’m now at 50 mins!Is there anything  else I can try ?
