Earlier this week, to my unexpected joy, I found I could access past BBC prom concerts by clicking on ‘podcasts’.  Today however, when I click through from ‘BBC Sounds’ to ‘Discover Podcasts’ there is simply a message ‘Unable to browse music’

Is this a temporary problem ?  I can see there was a conversation several months ago.  Is there anything I can do to access past BBC concerts ?

I had a look on the Sonos Mac desktop app and also the app on my iPhone.

On my iPhone I went into the BBC Sounds Sonos API ( IE accessed via Sonos) and scrolled down to “Browse all Music” and then “Classical” and the first category is “BBC Proms” which lists all the concerts available but as you can see from the attached screenshots it’s a really useless presentation at the moment.

My suggestion would be to access the BBC Sounds app, locate the concert you want to listen to, bookmark and then you can access via the Sonos app and play. Or play on your device and use AirPlay if you have a Sonos speaker that will allow that.

Just be mindful that the BBC Proms concerts will not be available for very long so listen to them soon!

Yep, find what you want in the BBC Sounds App, then subscribe or book mark.

Then in Sonos App, open BBC Sounds Service scroll down to ‘My Sounds’, view All, click three dots ‘...’ and Pin Collection to Home. You can then easily access from Sonos App Home screen.

Thanks to you both

Airply and bookmarking worked pleasingly well
