My sonos beam recently stopped giving out any sound , it is connected to a Samsung TV via hdmi .

I found that the sonos app on my phone which I rarely use had deleted itself (?)

After reinstalling the app could not connect to the beam , even after factory resetting the beam .

Also when looking at my hdmi on the TV,  there are various picture of white soundwave / wavy line patterns and shapes which periodically change .

Any ideas anyone , thanks in advance

I would call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

For what it’s worth, I don’t know any method Sonos uses to delete files, including the application itself, that must have been done by some outside force.

Doing a factory reset is unfortunate, it will have erased any data on the Beam that might help Sonos to have figured out what was going on.

You may want to temporarily connect the Beam to your router with an Ethernet candle, but there’s no guaranty, ultimately, you’re going to need to call Sonos.
