Yousee is not working

Would it be possible to support the DTS formats especially DTS:X? I recently replaced my Onkyo amp that had support for all DTS with Sonos equipment and am disappointed to find whilst watching a movie it won’t work with DTS. Seems to downmix to stereo pcm which sounds ok but think it could be sounding much better if in correct format.

I’ve had trouble getting things set up and making sure my Play:3 devices work on my current Sonos network. I have them working now, connected by ethernet, and I’m using the current control app on my Mac and my iPhone. I’ve been testing them and when I hit “Play” on my phone or Mac, it can take 4-6 seconds (it seems to vary) before the music starts playing. When I hit Pause, there’s still a delay, but it doesn’t seem to be as long as when I hit Play.Once I make sure these are working properly, I’d like to put them into a home theater grouping with a Playbar and Sub. (Right now I have a One and One SL in there. I want to remove them so I can use them with AirPlay in other rooms and put the Play:3s in that room in place of the newer speakers.) I’m thinking if I’m going to use these in a theater setup, a delay will either keep them out of sync with the other speakers, or may cause other problems.What can I do about this delay? I used to use Sonos frequently (daily, for many years), but over the past 4 years or so, have been more and more frustrated and have gone through long periods without directly using the system because when I’d start to use it, I’d have to fix things first. That happened today with a Play:1.I have several Play:1 devices in my system, which spans 2 buildings, each building with a different wifi network. Today I just wanted to play what was on my iPhone through my Play:1 while taking a break on my porch. But this Play:1 didn’t show up on my Airplay list. Some of my other Sonos devices did, including some One SL devices.I tend to prefer to use ethernet for devices that don’t move around and the Play:1 was on ethernet, but that’s part of the same LAN my wifi covers. So I tried to enable wifi and the new app showed that wifi wasn’t working. I tried to update the network name and password, but there was no way, on the phone app, to update that information.I went to my Mac and ran my Sonos app

I just purchased a Sony Bravia XR-77ACL. I have an Arc and two Era 300 speakers. When streaming through my 4k Apple TV, everything sounds great; however, my Sony Blu-Ray player has  some trouble. While I found that a few discs are labelled as Dolby Atmos and sound great, most Blu Rays play PCM 2.0. Is there any setting I can get that would help engage the Era speakers and improve audio? I’m using 2.1 hdmi cables all around and the Arc is connected to the EArc port. 

For no apparent reason my Sonos app on my Windows 11 desktop stopped connecting with my system.   System works fine with iPhone app.   Trie all the fixes mentioned including uninstalling and reinstalling.   Nothing helps.

We just updated the app and the system is defaulting to one speaker after each use. I connected with Sonos help via chat and they indicated some of the speakers needed to have operating software update. Did that and still nothing changed re defaulting to one speaker after using it. Also now once setting up an other “rooms” to play from when I look at the App it is indicating that it is playing on a different speaker than I requested 

I’m curious to know how the web app hosted at play.sonos.com is able to make the speakers I have play, given that I have a firewall completely blocking inbound connections.Like others, I want to reduce the possibility of a bad actor exploiting my network, so I’d like to control my Sonos system exclusively from within my local network.So, what do I need to do to configure either the sonos app or my firewall to prevent external control of my devices? Thanks!

updated to the new app version 80.02.04 yesterday. After the update, the app prompted for another update, which consistently results in error code 30.Today, I tried the following troubleshooting steps:    •    Performing a factory reset    •    Connecting via an Ethernet cable    •    Resetting my router    •    Reinstalling the app    •    Connecting using a mobile hotspot    •    Using different devices for the update (both iOS and Android)    •    Taking my Arc to the office and connecting to the company WiFi    •    Downloading the old version of the appUnfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue.I feel like I’ve tried everything possible and I’m feeling quite desperate. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I’m struggling to find any documentation on this that doesn’t relate to the Beam Gen 2. Is it possible for the Beam Gen 1 to support two Era 100s as surrounds, and if so would that be 7.1 surround or only 5.1? (I have a Sub Mini and Beam Gen 1 currently as the only parts of my home theatre set up). (Also, is it worth investing in surround rears when they’ll have to sit beside the couch rather than behind? It’s a small enough room! Thanks so much)

I have a beam gen 2 and a mini sub all set up for tv sound.  If I get a Sonos 5 for use as my music player could I add my mini sub to the five as well as keeping it in my beam 2 setup 

How do I remove a stereo pair of era 100s and add them as surrounds instead? It keeps saying there's a problem and to check my network, but it's all on the same one.

Searching in the new app is still broken when searching Yousee musik. In the old app I could switch to classic search  I can browse the Yousee musik service. I have tried to delete and add the service again with no luck  I hope you will look into this problem

Does anyone remember the days when these forums were predominantly used to ask for help?  I’m going to risk asking the un-askable question.  I do appreciate there are many issues in the latest app version. Many questions about it have been asked and some workarounds have been put forward since it was thrust upon us several weeks ago.  But, the number of threads being raised that repeat the same complaints means that genuine seekers of assistance are being lost in the flood of new threads.  I also appreciate that raising more threads is seen as a way of bringing to Sonos’ at the dissatisfaction that many of us are feeling. Sonos has (in response to user pressure?) taken the unprecedented step of issuing a roadmap for some app enhancements.  So: that question I promised:Is it time to dial back on the complaints and revert to “please help me…” threads? 

I suddenly lost all contact with my play 3. No problems earlier. I have tried all the suggestions, also updated my app. Nothing works. Help!

I have two groups, lounge and kitchen. Since the new app when adjusting the volume in the lounge (for instance using a tv remote) it also changes the volume in the kitchen which is playing music or radio. The rooms are not grouped. Is this a bug. Help!

Hi All, Would appreciate some help please: I’m not having any success adding a new sub mini to an existing beam 2.  The sub mini is not even being recognised by the new app.   Is the new app the problem ? I’m also tried connecting the sub via an wired connection but still no success. The Beam 2 is connected to the network via an ethernet connection. When going through the new app; adding a new sub to the beam 2 option, the new sub is not coming up at all ; either wirelessly or through the wired connection. Only the existing subs are showing up. I already have other sonos speakers and multiple subs in other groups which are all connected fine before the new app and after. This is the first time I have had  trouble with the new app adding a new products.Any thoughts or workarounds to get the working ? Thanks.   

I have three Sonos Playbar speakers in three different rooms, all hard wired (RJ45 Cat6E cables) to my router. There is a very distinct lag between the speakers which is annoying enough that I do not have any more than one on at any time. The reason I installed the Sonos system was to have matching sound throughout the house so I am wondering if there is some way to adjust the sound to match. I control it through my desktop Windows 10 computer, not through a cell phone. Any ideas please?

This may just be a plea to Sonos, but the new app has its frustrations. I would just like there to be a numeric metric pop up when adjusting volume on the speakers. It seems for me that it is only available when two speakers are playing as it opens the both up and I see the volume metric on each. However when it is a singular speak I do not see the volume number metric. It would be very nice to always see the numeric volume metric as it helps to know for dialing sound easily. 

I’ve spent countless hours and lots and lots of money building my mp3 library on my home computer. I’ve spent a LOT of money on a built out Sonos system. Why can’t I play my personal mp3 files on my Sonos system?  I’ve been unable to play my files since the update. I’m beyond mad.

HiI can’t seem to play any music from Apple Music via the new sonos app to my Sonos Arc. I can airplay from the Apple Music app itself but via Sonos app no luck.Press play and just nothing happens, just see the apple logo in the now playing but no music description.Anything I should try or is this new app just not very good currently? Thanks

After I lost the use of my I-phone controller to this poorly engineered “upgrade,” it appears my Roam speaker will not connect unless I “upgrade” the controller. I can run the rest of my system without it. Will this new requirement as of a day ago cause me to lose what functionaity I have? I have been using TuneIn streaming. Am I at risk to Sonos-only that you folks can charge for?

Hi @Corry P / @Jamie A / @Sotiris C., so many issues with the new app and so many threads, that I don't know if this one has been discussed yet, so I would like to report it to be sure it’s on the backlog:I use Amazon Music and I listen mostly to their Stations. When I play a Station, the Station name doesn't appear on Now Playing, just Song and Artist names.In 16.1 and before it always appeared. Could you add it to the bug backlog, please?Thanks

I can use voice control to listen to music on Spotify. When I ask for Radio 4 i am told there is an issue with my music provider. I have reauthorised etc. I can connect to Radio 4 via the app but not with voice control.
