Hello everyone, I have 8 Sonos Speakers at home and everything was working fine for many years.Last year, I have changed my Asus RT-AC3200 for a RT-AX88U. The change was transparent and I didn’t meet any issue until the last weeks. When I use the Party Mode to group all the speakers together, it often happens that some speakers stop playing the music, while other speakers continues. And the sound comes back a few seconds later, like the speaker was temporally not anymore in the group.When it happens, I checked and the speakers with no sound are not muted and still present in the app, in the same group, all playing the same audio source.It appears that this issue happens everytime with the same speakers, but not only with the farest from the router.The wifi coverage is very good Each speaker has a static IP I tried to manually change the Sonos Channel, but same issue Restarting the router didn’t change anything I don’t use Sonos Boost, one Play One is plugged to my router.Has anyone any

Hi!  I am thinking about getting my first turntable.  I want one of ProJects turntable cause of the built in preamp. But what type and model?  And also: what shoul i buy of the port and amp? Whats the big difference? Somewhere down the road i might want to buy new speakers, and a different brand than Sonos. 

I’ve posted about this before, but have since taken the steps recommended to correct the problem and they persist.Basically, I’ve been receiving constant “connection to spotify was lost” and “Song is not encoded correctly” errors. I am using a Boost that is hardwired to the router (I replaced the ethernet cable upon someone suggesting this.) I have a Play:1, Play:3 and Sonos:One.Suspecting that it also might be my router equipment, I replaced it yesterday, but the errors are just as common this morning, so that wasn’t the problem. Any tips you can provide would be very appreciated. The devices are pretty unusable at the moment. My most recent Diagnostic is #653648177

I recently bought a set of Sonos SL speakers to use as a set of Surrounds to use with my Sonos Beam (connected ARC to a LG C1 TV). Using my iPhone or iPad, I use to be able to airdrop to the Beam speaker from the Apple Music App. After adding these as Surround speakers to the Beam it is now asking for an Airplay Password for the Beam. I tried the Sonos password and it does not work. What password is it asking for or how do I correct this?

Dear All,As I could not find the final answer for my setup in other threads so far, I post it here. Based on information how to setup the Beam with a Laptop, Projector, I bought an HDFury Adaptor. I use the 2 Outputs for the projector and beam. The input for the Laptop. (see pic below)Could somebody help me how to do the final setup that the sound works? I still can not bring the sound of my laptop to the beam. Did I do anything wrong on the cable setup? Or do I have to setup anything on the HDFury or Laptop to make it work? Thank you so much for your help.Best Matthias

Hvis jeg nu gerne vil tilføje Sonos One (2), så tager jeg min iphone og starter Sonos (2) app’en og trykker jeg på det lille symbol - kvadrat med en pil opad i bunden - og så kan jeg vælge Sonos One (2), og kan sætte hak ved den. I searched the help quite extensively for this issue but didn’t find anything. Nevertheless apologies if I missed something and this has already been answered.I noticed my Echo Spot is no longer controlling my ConnectAmp in the kitchen and on further investigation it seems it now thinks the Connect is a Roam. I have deleted it from the Alexa app and rediscovered it, it still discovers a Roam and won’t control it. I tried renaming it, that didn’t help.Here’s the thing, I did have a Roam for a couple of weeks but returned it as, to be honest, it was a bit crap, constantly losing connection and needing resets. It took ages to get it set up in the Sonos 2 app, whilst leaving all my other devices connected to the Sonos 1 app….so I am guessing this is at the root of the issue. I have, however, removed all the Sonos 2 stuff from phones and laptop.Does anyone have any suggestions short of me completely starting from scratch, removing all my devices from the Sonos app and rediscovering them? 

Hopefully and easy one, do the Play One, and One fit all the same speaker stands as each other. The Flexson I’m looking at (FLXS1FS1021U) only makes mention of the Sonos one

The app has changed but I cannot find the updated help topics on how to do this.  

Hi,Looking to use the 12v trigger on my new Sonos Port to turn on my receiver when I start playing music through the port. I do not have an input on my Pioneer Receiver to connect to the port. Hi, I haven't ever had any issues with my set up until recently. I have a Beam and 2 play 1’s for a 5.0 set up in my living room. A play 1 in the kitchen and a one SL in the bedroom. My beam is hardwired direct into the router and is showing up as WM0. All other speakers show up as WM1.  The issue I’m having is the rear surrounds intermittently drop out with both films/tv (as 5.0) and on music play back.   My sonosnet channel was 11 and I’ve changed to 1 and 6 to see if this makes a difference but nothing. Still dropping out.  I’ve read about assigning fixed IP’s - but don't see able to access my router as of yet, going to try an ethernet connection this afternoon and will update accordingly. If anyone knows of anything that works without me having to go round the houses I would greatly appreciate that.  Thanks all Rob

After being stable for a few months Rova stations are starting to drop out again.  After about an hour of playing correctly they start having 1 second-ish drop outs.Stopping and starting the stream solves the problem for another hour.  (Buffer starvation?)Not sure if this is a Sonos or Rova setup issue but it is very annoying. Anybody got any ideas? I can’t find a direct support contact address for Rova so I cannot send the issue to them either. RegardsBrian

I'm about to go ahead with upgrading my Play:1 in favour of the One SL. They look pretty much the same, so does anyone know if the speaker stands that I have for my Play:1 will fit just the same for the One SL?I've tried searching, but only seem to come up with the most inappropriate of answers!Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have the new google chromecast tv 4k with the remote and I have 2 sonos one and 1 sonos move in my living room. I want to connect my audio system to google but unfortunately I only find a way to connect my move in Bluetooth to Google. I have seen people doing more complex manipulations to success to connect their whole system. Can anyone help me on this please ? :)  Have a Wonderfull day everyone ! Damien

I have a new Arc connected to the eArc HDMI port on my Sony A80J. I have an Apple TV 4K. On my TV- when I have the passthrough setting turned on, and I watch an ATMOS program on my Apple TV, the sonos app shows “DOLBY ATMOS”. If I turn the passthrough off, the Sonos app reports atmos programming as “DOLBY ATMOS (DD+)” Am I actually getting different sound here? If there is I can’t really tell. Is there really a difference when the sonos reports DOLBY ATMOS vs DOLBY ATMOS (DD+)?

I have two external audio sources I’d like to play through a Beam (v2):TV (HDMI ARC) Bluetooth receiver w/TOSLINK output (using the Sonos optical-to-HDMI ARC adapter)Each works fine when directly connected to the Beam, but I’d like to be able to switch between them without recabling.  I’ve tried a couple HDMI switches that haven’t worked, but I’m not sure why.  Does anybody know of a switch I can use for this, or help me understand how to do this?  Thanks!

Hi guys, after installing my new Apple TV and adding my Hue lights to my Apple Homekit (via the new Apple TV) I get a password promt when I try to Airplay music via Spotify to my Sonos system.  I’ve checked the homekit settings; password’s off.  I have 1 Beam and 2 One SL’s. What to do?

I have just purchased a Sonos roam and am trying to group with the play/pause button method, it worked fine when we first got the roam but isn’t now. When I hold down the play/pause button I hear two tones, and then it immediately swaps the audio to the one rather than grouping them. If I try to let go before the second tone the music just pauses. Not sure what’s going on here, any advice? 

Purchased the ARC yesterday (vitals in topic title).Static heard only from the right-hand side of the ARC -- it is constant, although intensity varies, and it seems more noticeable when music is playing. Popping has happened a few times, but it’s infrequent. I spoke with Sonos phone support and we completed troubleshooting. I’ve been advised to exchange the unit. Hopefully I will be able to exchange it later today for a unit that works correctly. Posting here to document this issue and to satisfy the faintest hope of mine that perhaps there’s some software setting issue that corrects this. Although, since the constant static seems to be isolated to the right-hand side speakers, I suspect this is a hardware issue. Any suggestions that aren’t too technical? I just want it to plug in and work. TV is brand new and updated. Apple TV 4K is updated. Not interested in PhD-level technical troubleshooting/research. (Shouldn’t be on the customer to do this.) No extra speakers or subwoofer. Thank

I've had a lot of problems making Sonos One SL devices work with my network setup and my MBP.After some debugging it hit me that the problem is that if my MBP is connected to my Thunderbolt hub (with a wired UTP connection) that I cannot control the Sonos device, nor use AirPlay 2.I see the speakers in the AirPlay speakers menu, but when I try to stream anything (or use the Sonos Controller software) I get a generic connection error after 20-30 seconds.When I unplug the wired connection I can use AirPlay2 or the Controller without a problem.This is really annoying because now I need to disconnect my MBP from the wired connection if I want to AirPlay something to my Sonos. If I only have the wired connection then it does not work neither since I guess the IP address of my MBP is different.Is there a way to have the configuration work with both the wired and wireless connection (at the same time) ?

What do I really have here. Have the Play Bar and Two of the SL Ones. Was looking for a home theater type system to replace an older Bose 5.1 system.thanks 

I am able to sync the Fios remote to control the volume though the Sonos Beam when I am watching Fios cable TV.  When I switch over to an app (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max) the Fios remote doesn’t work to control the volume.  The Sony/TV a remote doesn’t work for the volume either.  How do I get one remote to control everything?

I have the following equipment, on three different floors of my house:Room A: 2 Fives (stereo pair)Room B: 1 OneRoom C: 1 Play:5 (gen 1)Rooms A and B are controlled by S2 (iPhone)Room C is controlled by S1 (iPhone)Everything has been working perfectly, exactly as expected, for quite some time. Last evening, though, though, I experienced a particularly annoying issue --Room A was active -- streaming from TuneIn Radio. Rooms B and C were inactive. The S2 controller suddenly popped up a message that an additional Sonos system had been found and was incompatible with S2, and it asked how I wanted to proceed.That is, the old Play:5 had been discovered by S2. I had the choice of adding the Play:5 (which of course would not be allowed) or taking additional action. ‘Taking additional action’, as far as I could tell, involved resetting the S2 system, which of course I also didn’t want to do.I was stuck in an infinite loop. Closing/reopening S2 by itself did not make the message go away. I final

I have a BenQ TH671ST 1080p projector installed into my ceiling. I currently have an audio cord running from the projector to a less than optimal sound bar that isn't stereo. I have a Sonos AMP powering two outdoor speakers. I also want to power all my streaming through my Chromecast or Fire Stick. With this setup, is there a way to get great STEREO audio, with no lag, to either two Sonos speakers and/or a Sonos Sound Bar? What do I need to accomplish this and to set this up?
