The house set up i’m moving into allows me to see my  75 inch t.v in the living room 22 feet away in my bed(while the doors are open)I’m hoping to get an arc and a beam, Have the arc connected to the t.v, and then use the beam through wifi so I can still have more immersive sound in my bedroom while watching tv, Plus also have speakers in different rooms for music. Is it possible to do this? Can you turn the Arc volume down, have the beam in the same room(in the app) and then turn the beam up to have more efficient and quieter sound in the bedroom while watching a movie, youtube, tv and gaming. 

Hello everyone!  For my TV setup, I’m planning on installing 2 in wall Sonos speakers, a Sonos amp, and a Sonos sub. Do do you think this is sufficient audio quality for watching TV and movies, or should I consider adding 2 sonos ceiling speakers to the mix?   If I do add the ceiling speakers, would I still be able to use the sub? I read somewhere that the sub doesn’t work when doing surround sound with 4 speaks. thanks for your thoughts! 

Hello Community, I’ve followed the connection instructions for Arc to TV through the app.  I have no success.  I’ve switched TV off, app off, tired different HDMI cables.  Still fail. Help…?Thx Dan 

I plugged my CD player directly to Sonos 5 However, you can barely hear.Sonos customer support said I could connect direct Sonos 5 but that doesnt workDo I need a preamp?Has anyone been successful connecting to Sonos 5?My cd player could be badThank YouJack 

I recently moved, so I’m setting up my system again. However, I’m having a strange issue. I have 8 speakers (9 but one setup is stereo Sonos Ones), all latest generation. The main difference between this new system and my old system is that all the speakers are WiFi until I can get some wires around the house. My old house had several speakers wired (not with SonosNet).I’m having two issues. First, sometimes one controller won’t see all the speakers. For example, my computer right now only sees 5/8 speakers, but my phone and iPad sees all. Come back an hour later, and things will change. This setup was an absolute rock for years prior (I’ve been using Sonos since the the year of their founding). I’ve toyed with STP, RSTP, rebooting switches, reboot routers, rebooting EVERYTHING, reseting speakers, etc. Nothing seems to impact that over time controllers lose speakers and then find them again.The second issue is that I can’t reliably join. I have a beam that’s hardwired with my Ethernet cable and connected via HDMI ARC. Also have an Amazon Fire Stick 4K. I still get intermittent cut outs. But ONLY with Disney+ and HBO Max. Haven’t noticed that happen on Hulu, ESPN, Paramount+, Netflix, YouTube. PlayStation 4 or Apple TV.How do I fix this? Diagnostic # 693926820 Edit: not answered. Accidentally hit the check mark

I'm using several Sonos with microphones; Move, Roam and One. Move and Roam work fine, however when using the One, the trigger word is fine… but then I need to scream rather than talk for the Sonos One to react. Anyone an idea how to deal with this? 

I've had some WiFi issues and was logged out of my S2 app. When I tried to log back in the app keeps asking me for the details of my sons account. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling but it keeps defaulting to his account. Can anyone offer a solution?

Hello! I recently purchased a set that included Arc, Sub (Gen 3), One SL (Pair), but I’m now realizing that I will not be able to use all the components together due to the layout of the room and placement of the TV. As we figure out what to do, I’m hoping that a Sonos savant on here could answer the following:can I use the Arc as the rear speaker (behind where we sit while watching TV) and the pair of Ones as the front speakers (next to the tv) I have the option of hanging the Arc above the TV but it will be a few inches from the ceiling. I’ve read this is a bad idea. True? If I decide to not use the Arc, is it possible to just pair the Ones with the sub?Thanks for your thoughts!

Hello all Sonosers ;-)  Requesting your thoughts.  My configuration is: Sonos One + Google Assistant + Deezer Premium.  Has been working great since I installed it 1 year ago.  Typical usage: “Hey Google, play some rolling stones”, etc.  Yesterday Google refused the command, saying the current device does not support Deezer.  Tried upgrading all software, hardware resets, reinstalling all software.  When adding Deezer to Google Assistant, setup says “Continue with unsupported music service? Deezer is not supported on this device...”.  I have no problems streaming from iPhone Sonos app + Deezer to Sonos speakers.  Has anything important changed within the last week?  Stay safe everyone.

Hi,I woke up on Monday to find 6 of my 8 Sonos devices missing from the app.  All are wifi with DHCP reservations in my router.  Other than an occasional hiccup, the system has been working well for a couple of years now.  I upgraded to S2 a few weeks ago, and things seemed to be working fine intially.I’ve tried:Finding lost devices in the appRebooting all devicesRebooting wifi routerReinstalled the appHard reset one device - App will find the device and provision it, but it disappears once it’s back on the wifiI plugged a couple of the devices in to ethernet and it found them and updated the software, but once back on the wifi, they disappear There are no IP conflicts or anything else I can identify that would block any devices.  All other network devices are working properly.  I can see the devices in my router as connected and they show up on a network scan from a third-party program. I would appreciate advice because I’m out of ideas.  Thanks!

Since a few weeks, my system constantly loses connection with my two sonos:1's connected as surround speakers to my beam. I have tried everything I can think of. Finding missing products, factory resets, router resets, disconnecting all other devices from LAN. Effectively, I cannot get decent surround sound anymore.  Does anyone know other ways to get it to work again? I think something is wrong in the interaction between the Sonos S2 wifi management and the router wifi management. Thanks

I have moved house. Previously my Beam was connected to my Panasonic TV via a HDMI ARC. TV sound could be controlled via Panasonic remote, Beam also functioned as a speaker for music. In our new house, my Sonos sysem works fine with the new network. However, we have a Sky Q box connected to the TV via DHMI. Plugged in Sonos Beam into the TV HDMI ARC input. Sonos does not recognise this. Error message is “HDMI ARC not detected”. Tried diferent HDMI cables, turning things ON and OFF, disconnectiing the Sky Q box. Same error message. Any ideas?

Normally the alarm volume has propagated to all players in a group that is set to alarm, but this time one player reverted to last level.I sent a diag about 10 minutes after this happened, 884414119 don’t know if this still is valid.

I was searching for the desktop Sonos app and came across ‘Only Sonos’ (https://only.sonos.com) It is owned by Sonos as it shares the same privacy policy. Unable to sign in with existing Sonos account nor create a new account as it requires an access code. The favicon is a graduation cap and there is mention of ‘academy’ 

Hi,I have a Play 5 with line in connected to my turntable and it sounds superb. The problem arises when I try to listen to the vinyl in other rooms.For example, the play 5 is in my conservatory where I tend to listen to records most of the time, but when I want to connect to the Play 3 in the Kitchen, the playback drops regularly, but only on the kitchen speaker not the 5 in the adjoining room..?Why does line in work perfectly through the 5, but poorly through the other  speakers in my set up..?TIA,Jonathan

My sonos sub, after working perfectly for over a year, started flashing a white light.  I reset it, got the flashing green light, the sub connected to the wi-fi and I was able to have it appear on the app in the room where it belongs.  However, it would not connect to the surround sound.  Any thoughts?Thanks in advance. 

I have an arc, with a sub bonded. Works fine via WiFi.  I added an Amp, also on WiFi and tried to bond it as surrounds to the arc via WiFi. It would not work after many attempts to bind as surrounds.The amp is less than 8 feet away from the arc.  (Note that I had two OneSL used as surrounds via WiFi with the arc and it worked fine  but I need to use the in ceiling speakers  )Then I  wired the amp, not the arc. I was able to get it to bond, with a warning that the arc should also be wired, but I ignored it and it successfully bonded. However there seemed to be little to no sound coming from the amp speakers. (This might be a bug I imagine - or the warning is really an error outright that should stop the binding. )So I then wired the arc and the sub too, then rebonded the amp as a surround. Now all is working , but everything is wired ( I disabled WiFi on amp, sub and arc  after it all worked wired to try to avoid stp problems in my network which is Ubiquiti ). I would really prefer not

Hi there, I have a Sonos Beam connected to my TV and a Move. When streaming music via the sonos app or via Spotify, all works fine. I can pair the two speakers and play music with great quality. However I have an issue when the Beam streams audio from the TV input (HDMI) to the Move. So if I am playing music on my TV (i.e. YouTube), and then group the Move and Beam together, the audio is perfect on the Beam, but it breaks up regularly (every 2-3 seconds) on the Move. I have tried resetting both but still get the issue. And it happens across the various sources on the TV. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. 

Although pCloud storage can be accessed via an SMB connection to a local machine that has pCloud support installed, it would be useful to remove the necessity of having that extra machine. Would pCloud people have to provide such a piece? If so, would this automatically allow content to be scanned and available as part of the Music Library? I presume so, but just checking.

I currently have two Sonos 1 speakers in our backyard, one on the deck, one on the patio (fully covered) that play together after they were linked in the Amazon Alexa App to play the same music rather than creating a stereo pair within the Sonos app.  This works flawlessly. We are in the process of finishing our basement where we intend to have a sonos amp power the left and right rear in ceiling architectural speakers and utilize a sonos arc as a front left, center, front right and a sonos Sub. Is it possible to run this surround sound system in the basement separate from the two speakers in the backyard, utilizing the same network and same sonos account (i.e. can i create a separate system for this area). I’m assuming that the sub and arc will need to be paired through the network to the amp.  Really just trying to prepare or adjust my plan depending on what is actually possible.  Ultimately, if I’m in the backyard, I want to be able to ask Alexa to play music and if I turn the TV on

I have had the Roam since release date, I’ve been using is about every other day for work. But as of this morning, it’s not turning on. Power button isn’t powering on the speaker. Plugging in to power is also not working. Yesterday I turned it completely off with about 70% battery life. Have had a few issues with connections and audio breaking out as well. Not too thrilled with the speaker right now.

Hi EveryoneDoes anyone know if there is a way to turn off the lower volume when listening function for assistant on Arc?I’ve followed the instructions but it seems to only be available for google made speakers?It’s a bit annoying when I’m watching something and the assistant is triggered by dialogue from a movie, I’ve lowered the google sensitivity but can’t seem to find any setting to turn off the lower volume when listening function.Any help is appreciated, thanks! 

Any updates on bringing back the dates field to Stitcher podcasts? Removing the date field has made listening to podcasts un-usable to me. I’m really hoping this gets resolved. The date field was incredibly useful.
