Can you play WAV files from a WD My Cloud connection?  

Also does it need to be a NAS or can it just be a regular My Cloud?

BUT according to this link, it doesn’t look like My Cloud Home supports WAV files:

Note that WAV files are not optimum, due to their issues with tagging and their large size.  Consider converting to a more standard lossless format like ALAC or FLAC.
