I bought the Sonos Roam on vacation to listen at the pool.  It does not connect to WiFi, bluetooth or apple airplay and is just basically a paper weight.  Luckily for me the tech support guys dont work on the weekend so I have no one to help me. WHAT A WASTE AND FALSE ADVERTISING!

Hi All,I have just purchased a sonos roam, when turned off after a while an orange light sort of glows at bottom of speaker, what is this and why does it do it even if turned off ?Cheers for help Nick

HelloI am planning my KNX Smarthome and am wondering how to power all the ceiling speakers. For different tasks, I need to be able to control the speakers with Airplay-2 and via Sonos. If I got it right, the new Sonos amp covers both, but a combination of connect. amp and (existing) Airport Express stations connected to the analog line-in should do the same at half of the price. Are there any reasons not to use this connect-airport combination and buy the new amp with an integrated Airplay-2?

I try to add zp 100 to my sonos 1 and 5 system.my present system recognizes the zp 100 and the green light is blinking. System asks to load S1 controller. When doing that it seems like the controller was not loaded and the situation is static- nothing happens. What to do?

Hi folks,when watching tv my Google assistant on Sonos Arc self activated randomly with tv audio. It happens basically every day. Never happened before when I was using a Beam. My system is:Arc connected to LG C9  via eARC (tv audio de-activated)Gen 2 Sub2x Ones as surrounds any idea on how to solve this annoying issue? cheers 

It’s 2021 and yet the Apple Music w/in the Sonos app looks like it’s from 2001!  Bottom line is that features within the Apple Music app are missing from Sonos.  There’s no Browse.  The My Music feature doesn’t show all of my downloaded music that I have in my Apple Music Library.  The Radio feature within Sonos doesn’t match up.  Even the ‘My Sonos’ feature is not accurate.  The ‘recently played’ isn’t in sync or flat out wrong.    I love the Sonos speakers and want to add to my system but dang it Sonos, the app is really starting to cause a problem and has me thinking of going in another direction.  Yes, the Sonos app will play music but it’s becoming a pain.  I get it that Sonos has to work with Apple and other providers but I’ve been a Sonos user for years and still nothing has improved.  

I have the 2 Sonos S2 speakers and I don’t know how to connect my iPod touch as well as my very old Classic iPod. Could someone please help me with this?

On my Sonos 2 systems (2 Amps and 1 Port), I hard-wired all 3 using ethernet to save Wi-Fi bandwidth.  It works great until there is a glitch in the power or internet provider; they can never get back online automatically.  However, if do not use ethernet connection and just use Wi-Fi for all 3, when power goes out or if there is a glitch in the internet, they all automatically find there way back online where I can use them via the app.  This only happens with my S2 products, my S1 products (Connect:Amp and Connect:Port) are hard-wired too and they find there way back online.  Not sure what is going on with S2 and ethernet option… any suggestions?   Thank you,Bill

Hi, I’m trying to set up the Sonos Arc with Apple TV and Behringer Flow 8 mixer to do some homemade Karaoke via iTunes on the Apple TV.  So far, I can Bluetooth the iTunes from the Apple TV directly to the Behringer Flow 8 mixer and blend in the vocals. The problem I’m having is when I output the RCA audio to the Sonos Arc. To do so.. I’ve bought of Amazon a small USB powered RCA to optical and then I use the Sonos Arc Optical adapter to HDMI cable to feed to the Sonos Arc. I then tell the Sonos Arc that I’m using a non e-Arc HDMI feed, but the Sonos Arc will not recognize the signal and in turn, there is no sound. I’m wondering if the problem exists because the RCA to optical signal I’m sending the Sonos Arc, does not include a video signal as well. or is there something else going on.. Note: I tested the Sonos Arc adapter and HDMI cable from the TV’s non e-arc plug to the Sonos Arc and it worked, so it's not that. Thanks :)

I’ve read some of the other issues and answers that others have experienced however I still cannot get Sonos to recognize my updated music.  I add new songs to my Amazon music account then go to Sonos to play and the song/songs I’ve just added are not showing.  I’ve deleted my Amazon account and reinstalled, I’ve signed out of my Amazon account and signed back in but still nothing is working.  I’ve deleted the Sonos app and reinstalled, I’ve tried everything I can think of.  I’m using an iphone 8+ to access my Sonos and Amazon music.

Our house is filled with Sonos. We have a Sonos Play One in every room and our living room has a Sonos Playbar with two Sonos Play Ones for surround sound. We have echo dots in each room and have Alexa configured to use the Sonos speaker (in each room) as default. It has been working perfectly for years.Fast forward to now; Alexa no longer plays music through any of our Sonos speakers. Alexa now just plays music through the echo dot instead of the Sonos speakers.I have spent hours troubleshooting this and have done the following:Disabled Sonos skill in Alexa Removed Sonos speakers from Alexa Power cycled all Sonos speakers Added Sonos skill to Alexa and rediscovered the devices Reconfigured each room (group) in Alexa to use Sonos as defaultAll of my Sonos speakers have excellent network connectivity and are set with a static IP. I accidentally upgraded two products that I don’t want to upgrade. I was thinking it was an update, not upgrade. How do I release them from upgrade status?

Trying to help hubby connect to our Sonos Roam, whilst away from home.  Bluetooth is connected, blue light on the Roam.  His phone is saying it is connected, however he can not play music.  When he tries from the app it is saying that it is looking for a network.  The Roam has been added to our home network.  The hotel Wi-Fi will not have a Sonos network….. tried turning off Wi-Fi all together. 

Hi all. I can’t find this answer.I have 30 independent SONOS speakers, some old play 1, some new sonos one. I want to add more but as-is, i can never select “everywhere” and have all speakers just play. It takes an hour to cycle and never really plays them all. I have to play a couple at a time then add more as I go. is there a max amount of speakers allowed on one system?

I’ve lost the capability to control sound on my Sonos Beam from my Samsung TV remote.  This had been working fine for years but stopped working after a full power outage.   Since then, to change the volume, I either need to push the buttons on the sound bar directly, or I need to use the Sonos app on my phone.The sound bar is hooked up to the TV via optical cable, and I've confirmed the TV is set to use the Optical sound output.  I've replaced the batteries in the remote, and have also tried two Samsung remotes (both of which are connected to my TV).  When I hit Vol+/-, the /- indicator on TV shows up, but the sound on the Beam does not change.I have tried re-configuring the remote, deleting/adding the remote but nothing has worked.I’ve already read past fix suggestions relating to Samsung Universal Remove settings eg.https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Qled-and-Frame/Can-no-longer-control-Sonos-sound-bar-optical-cable-via-remote/m-p/1674545#M13739but this doesn’t work.  Has anyone els

Good morning,Last week I bought the Sonos Roam and installed it. As always, vertly easy to add a Sonos speaker! I've added to a room where I already have a Sonos One. They play together, but when I want to regulate the volume, this is only possible for the One, the Roam is visually on mute. With the buttons on the Roam I can change the volume, but not via the app.Is there anybody with a solution for this?Thank you all and have a great day!Stefan 

Hi there,Just got a playbase from a friend and added two play 1 I already have as surround. The sound is great on Music, YouTube, TV news, but it performs really bad on dialogue/quiet scenes in movies (from Netflix) with dd 5.1. Disappointed.The sound level on dialogue /quiet scenes is simple too low compared with action scenes, it is really hard to understand and the overall experience is very bad if I have to constantly adjust volume. What more interesting is, the dialogue in an action/loud scenes is fairly clear and loud, I don’t know why.As for speech enhancement, it did little help, although night mode do increased dialogue level and lowered loud sound, but the sound feels too “thin” for me and not very pleasing, I don’t want to use it except for late night.Did some researches from the community, found no answers to this question: Would a sub added to Playbase solve the dialogue issue in movies?   I live in an apartment, for now I think the bass from Playbase itself is good enough

Hi everyoneafter hours of talking to sonos customer support since my system wasnt working, I changed my wifi router, as per their recommendation, reset one play 1 (I have another play 3 and a Connect that I havent reset) after HOURS on the phone and multiple attempts with rhe new router I finally mamaged to conect the play 1- on sonos s2 and I lost all my sonos playlists…. Worst customer experience ever. Any hacks to recover these ? I havent set up the rest of my system

I've bought a secondhand Beam and used my Router to connect using the S2 app. Once connected it automatically requests and update and won't let use my email account. I can't access the Settings to do a Transfer of Ownership, probably because it needs an update first.Any help or should I just call Sonos?

I received my Amp yesterday.  I have it powering two Polk 80F/X-LS in-ceiling speakers for surrounds.  The rest of my setup is an ARC and Sub.Does Sonos have a test tone feature yet?  In receiver-based setups, one can always generate a test tone on a channel-by-channel basis and, if desired, set the speaker level using a sound pressure meter.  I use the test tones to make sure everything is connected and then after running room correction software (Truplay for us), I run the test tones again with a SPM to make sure the levels are reasonable.I think the answer to my question is NO, but SONOS, are you considering this feature for the future?

  I have multiple rooms and previous only one Sub in the dining room.  I have updated my Amps and bought a new Sub for the dining room and moved the previous Sub to the Study The Study is connected via an Ethernet cable direct to the Amp Sub port and through a BT extender (hard wire in power circuit) The Dining room via WIFI The speakers in the Study and Dining room are two separate wired YET  When I play the study alone music is heard in the dining room – even if I turn the dining room Amp off and visa versa  Utterly confusing It is like the Subs are connected and drive the speakers without full sound  How do I separate the two subs I’m going mad   

Is it true that I cannot select multiple speakers for the alarm?I understand it can play to grouped rooms, but we don’t use static groups, so that is not an option.

I am using eARC via my Apple TV to play audio from my TV ( LG C1) to my HomePod. That seems to be working fine except that it doesn’t seem to recognize the Symfonisk stereo pair that I also have connected to the Apple TV. Is there a way to play audio to both my HomePod and Symfonisk speakers using eARC, or is playing audio to both the stereo pair and HomePod only limited to AirPlay?  From what I understand, I can’t play audio from my TV to the Symfonisk speakers without another speaker. I believe I read that I can play audio from my TV to the Symfonisk speakers with a Roam using Bluetooth. Would that be the only way to get the Symfonisk speakers to work with the TV outside of a sound bar? (A sound bar would make my life much easier, but I don’t have the space for it.)

I have had a playbase connected to my Samsung TV for 2 years now and have never been able to power on my playbase to listen to music unless the TV is also powered on. if I’m listening to music through Spotify on my iPhone app, the Playbase will turn off 5 minutes after my TV turns off.
