Hello , possible silly question , I'm thinking of getting a Panasonic ub820 player which has separate audio and video hdmi outs , would connecting audio out directly to beam and video out to tv work or would I still have to do a combined audio /video feed to beam via e/arc , also I'm aware that the first option would mean no TV audio through beam only blu ray , sorry a bit long winded , thanks

No, the blue ray player would not provide an ARC/eARC signal. That requires, with few exceptions (HD Fury, mainly), a TV set, or some small numbers of projectors.

Ahhhh , sorry the beam only works via an arc signal then ?
