My Sonos app is on a PC running win11 Pro. My iTunes library is located on NAS. I can’t find a pathname that I can enter in ‘Music Library Settings’ that will access the iTunes library. I have used ‘Another folder or drive connected to my computer’ and ‘Networked device’, both in setup. I do have a mapped drive from PC to iTunes library on NAS.  iTunes uses the path I:\iTunes\iTunes Media to find iTunes media folder location. I have tried a number of permutations of pathnames with no success. I:\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music error, computer is not responding; \\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music error computer iTunes cannot be found. I read in another question that Sonos has switched to streaming via http://  My question is: how can I enter a url in the Sonos app so that it can locate my music files. Maybe I’m just being dense, but I’m not seeing it. I can create a url to my iTunes songs but what do I do with it (the url)?The share link looks something like this:  http://192.168.0.145:8000/portal/a

Hello -Our Sonos set up plays in two parts of the house - the kitchen and the family room.  When anyone rings our Ring doorbell, or when motion is detected, Sonos stops playing in the kitchen and we have to open the Sonos app to reselect the kitchen for it start playing again.  We have Alexa & it’s what produces the Ring’s doorbell sound in the kitchen.  When I look in the individual Sonos and Alexa apps, they are not showing as connected to each other. Ring & Alexa are connected and Sonos and Ring are not connected. Any ideas? 

I'm new to Amazon Music on my Sonos system. I've noticed that when I start music from the Sonos app the player shows an HD or UHD marker. However, after a couple hours of music the marker no longer appears on songs I know are HD or UHD. Anyone else notice this? Any thoughts on the cause? Solutions?

Hi all, I just got my Sonos Arc and set it up with my two Five‘s as a group for my TV.I also have the Pro-Ject Carbon turntable connected to one of the Five‘s.When I grouped the speakers, I couldn’t get the audio from the turntable to be played. The only option seems to be to remove the Five from the group as the line-in reappears as a source within the Sonos app.This is quite annoying - how can I get the turntable to be played on the entire group? 

I have 4 ceiling speakers, 2 fronts and 2 rears with each pair connected to a Sonos amp (so 2 amps total). I also have an Arc under the TV. Is it possible to have surround audio using all 4 ceiling speakers plus the Arc? So far I’ve been able to connect the Arc with the 2 rear ceiling speakers set up as surrounds, but can’t figure out how to connect the 2 fronts to the Arc and rears. Right now the 2 fronts are their own group, so I can play music through everything, but adding the fronts to the Tv setup doesn’t seem doable. Any suggestions?

Often, but not always, when I select a playlist on Spotify from my Google Pixel phone, the Sonos speaker Play 1 will play 3 songs.  Then it will either stop or the Sonos app will start playing songs from a different playlist.  When it stops, there is no way to kick start it again.  I have to close the Sonos app AND unplug my Sonos speaker and hope my phone will capture it again.  Often times, all my Sonos speakers are either not found or appear greyed out on the device list.  And I am stuck listening to the music on my phone.  Does that make sense? I haven’t seen any similar issue on the online forums.  Please help.  This has been going on since I got the speakers 3 years ago. 

Hi all, I have just set up a beam gen 2 with a pair of Sonos ones as surrounds. All is working well, however I would like to know, “if I turn off the surrounds in the Sonos app, does the surround content get switched back to the beam, or would I be missing that part of the sound”? I ask this as I would not always want them to be on. Thanks.

Hi My Sonos speakers wake me up with the Sonos alarm signal instead of a selected radio station. No mather what I do, change, replace or delete, the chimes keeps playing. I do have another exactly the same alarmsignal on the same system, but it wakes me up on another day and it works fine. thanks, Martijn

Not sure what is going on? Added another Sonos SL speaker to my system yesterday.  System1 SL Speaker2 Sonos one - first generation 5 Sonos one - second generation Sonos BeamSonos Booster All went well and setup was completed.  Played music the rest of the day.   This morning couldn’t get anything to  connect by means of the Sonos App.  I use Amazon music. Usual routineI select the music I like to play on Amazon music, usually on my iPad.Go to Airplay and select one speaker to play the musicThen go to the Sonos App and select where I want the music played on my system This morning I could get ALL the speakers to connect to Airplay but could not get any other speaker to connect within the Sonos App.' Re-bottled my router.  No difference.  Checked that all speakers where on the Sonos system (0).  No issues. Re-booted my iPad. No change I then went to Apple settings on my iPad.  Selected the Sonos App. Turned off background App Refresh and turn it back on again.    Went back into Amazon m

Hello,New Sonos customer here. Just added a new sub to my ARC. The ARC is connected via ethernet drop to my ASUS router, there is a managed switch between the two. The sub, which I followed the directions on for installation, appears on my Sonos app as part of the ARC setup, but alas, no matter what kind of signal I put through the ARC the sub is silent. I do not feel any vibrations from it, nor, when I put my ear up to the rectangular opening, do I hear any kind of bass tones. What I DO hear very, very quietly is a type of fluttering, as if there’s a card snapping on a bicycle spoke array while far, far, far away. It’s very faint, but I can hear it when my ear is up to the hole.FWIW, I’ve rebooted my router, I’ve checked the status of the IP addresses on the Sonos app as well as the ASUS router app. Everything SEEMS like it should work, but alas, I’m not getting any sound out of this sub.HELP!!! I want so desperately to really enjoy this Sonos equipment and have a pair of Ones arrivin

Hi, I’m building a game room and it will have (2) TV’s within the space (about 750 sq. ft.).  I was wanting to know if I could install (4) in-ceiling Sonos speakers and tie those back to the Sonos Amp (in a closet) and then have my TV’s connect to the Sonos Amp via WIFI or Bluetooth and listen to TV (or music) through the in-ceiling speakers?  In addition, I’ll have a RV garage adjacent to the game room with another TV and would consider installing 4-5 in-ceiling speakers in there for music and the TV.  I would assume I’d need a separate amp for this area since I may want to listen to music in the garage and have a football game on in the game room.  I hope this all makes sense and appreciate the feedback.  Thx

Hi,Had a Beam connected for about 1 year with no issues,  always turn the TV off with the remote ( Sony Bravia)On turning it on this morning I didn't have any volume, on checking noticed it was set at zero so just turned it up, thinking nothing of it, upon turning the TV on this evening the same thing happened, I only have the Beam connected and that's via HDMI Arc.Also no Alexa.Any ideas ?Thanks.

Hi guys,I'm still waiting for this fix and want to raise the question again to highlight as it's 1p months in with no fix. One of the previous questions was marked answered incorrectly ()The issue is as follows:Podcasts that are partially played will not play.This even efects podcasts you start to play in Sonos, but if you pause then try to play again latert hey will break.All fixes have been attempted from troubleshooting including supported by sonos customer services, I've even reset everything at my end to factory and uninstalled app data/reinstalled all apps etc.It seems Sonos retains playback state somewhere remotely, all my previously played tracks are showing part played and so will not play at all. In effect I can no longer listen to these podcast episodes and I have no way to reset them to play from start.Seems an easy bug fix would be to add a 'play from start' option?If anyone else has another idea on how to make podcasts work please let me know (p.s. I can't use airplay). T

Hi,I’m new here and I’ve just received my new Beam gen 2, that sound incredibly fine. I’m very happy.The soundbar is connected to a Sony KD-48A9 via eARC, everything is working fine but when I put the standby the tv, the beam gen 2 goes in standby as well, in fact I can see the light becoming lightening green. But immediately after 1 sec  or less the soundbar led become  again white.Could you please tell me which setting that I need to change on the TV to make standby working?Could someone tell me if there is a setting on the soundbar that I need to change in order to make standby correctly working?Could you please tell me if there is any setting to put the soundbar in standby after i.e. 5min of no hdmi signal? Thanks & Regards

Hi Sonos, I recently bought a Sonos Arc and have connected it to my TV using the HDMI Arc output of my (Philips) TV. Unfortunately I’m not that blown away by the sound quality, it sounds very ‘metallic’ and ‘crisp’ (I don’t have a sub at the moment so I expected to miss a little bass, but now it just sounds cheap. I created a diagnose report, the id being: 1920014812. Would be great if someone from support could check if there are any issues with the setup, or if anyone has any tips.. Johan

Hi all,I bought a turntable including phono preamp and wanted to connect it to my Play 5 via line-in. However, since my two Play 5 are configured together with a Sonos Beam and a Sonos Sub as a 5.1 setup, this is apparently not possible.My new plan would be to buy a used Connect S2 instead and connect it to the line-out of my phono preamp. Audio playback would then be via the Sonos 5.1 setup described above. Can anyone tell me if this would be possible? I would also be open to alternative solutions.Thanks for your answersJohnny

I can get the system to play play Dolby digital plus 5.1 on these settings:TV - Multichannel (non-bypass)PS5 - HDMI set to AV Amplifier, number of channels 5.1, audio format dolbyAny other combination i have tried only get dolby digital 5.1 or stereo sound. Should i be able to get dolby atmos if playing from disney plus. Also am getting a sync issue no matter what the output is. Is the HD fury arcana my best option to fix this as i don't want to be adjusting it in the app. 

Hi,I have a question not easy to explain but I will try : I bought a sound at Arc connected to the TV on ARC output, a subwoofer, two sl one. I coupled these four speakers in the application, they are installed in my living room. When I listen music the sound is playing on all speakers but when I watch a movie a tv, or when I watch tv the same sound is not playing on all speakers, the main sound is playing on the sound bar and the other sound (the background music) is playing on the two sl one.i would like to ear the same the sound on all speakers all the time. Hi there, I am new to the forums and was hoping for some advice/guidance on the best way to set up my new beam gen 2. I appreciate this question has probably been done to death here so apologies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere. I am asking again as a lot of the answers I have found appear to relate to previous generation sonos products which I believe only had optical in and did not have HDMI in and I haven’t found any guidance specifically relating to the beam gen 2. The issue I am having is that the TV is old (from around 2014) and from testing and googling does not appear to passthrough DD 5.1 from external devices connected by HDMI (in my case a BT freeview box and PS4 used primarily for Plex rather than gaming). The sonos app does show DD 5.1 when using the built in netflix app which appears to confirm it is the HMDI passthrough on the TV, or lack thereof, that is the issue. A lot of the previous discussions on this suggest using an HDMI switch in order for audio to

I just switched to Amazon Music from Spotify. When I try to play music to my Beam 1 / Ones setup I get a verbal error message. Music won't play. Music works fine using the Sonos app. Is there a setting I need to update to use AM directly? Second question: I was told that in order to play Amazon Music in HD or UHD I must use the Sonos app. True? When I play my music using the Sonos app I only see the HD/UHD notation sporadically, even with playlists of all HD/UHD songs. Occasionally I see the notation appear mid-song. Normal?

Hi,I’ve seen there are topics on similar but try as I might I can’t fix it.2014 Panasonic TV TXL42ET60sky Q 1 TB boxsonos beam gen 2 connectionsbeam connected to TV via HDMI2 (ARC) using Sonos leadsky q to HDMI 1 viera link is on. HDMI output on TV is set to digital.setup via Sonos app and the TV is connected.I can only get sound on HD channels if on the Sky q settings the HDMI output is set to normal and then it comes as stereo PCM 2.0if I change the HDMI output on sky box to digital then I will only get sound on non-HD channelsAbsolutely infuriating so far. Certainly the investment wasn’t to have a stereo speaker!All advice welcome - I’m off to the pub and will check back tomorrow!
